Awesome Aretha, and a fine reminder of the unreleased Atlantic albums of the Queen in her prime that fans are begging for. Thank you, dear Lady Soul. xx
OMG doesn't get any finer than Aretha in sublime form singing with complete brilliance from the depths of her soul, love & miss you forever Lady Soul...
Superb...one of my favourite aspects of Aretha's artistry is her peerless interpretative skills...truly phenomenal, inventive, distinctive and unique... one of a kind...no doubt
By 1976 Aretha already suffered from vocal damage. This performance is from 1977, and I'm having a brain fart cause her voice sounds like the one she had between 70' and 73'. She was such an icon.
@@marcossilva7444 1980's you're talking - she suffered from depression (loss of multiple family members) and acid reflux which ate at her vocal cords - but as we all know she prevailed to the very end - acid reflux and all...one of the very best of all time.
You can check out some of her Columbia recordings like the Tribute to Dinah Washington. Columbia tried to make her a jazz star before she came into her own at Atlantic
Great Kenzo!! Thank You! Will you also put up the full Duke Ellington Medley? Do you have the full Carter Inaugural Special on DVD? Would you sell a copy?
Listening to Aretha in her prime is a glorious treasure- she is just a vocal masterclass.

Mine as well! ❤️❤️❤️
Whoever is playing the piano sonata in this song is killing it, and matched with her voice this is sublime!!🏆😎🎆
It actually sounds a lot like her piano playing.
Mood Indigo is clearly not an easy song to sing yet Aretha can sing...ANYTHING! The Queen gave me chills with this one! Oh yeah!!!! 🖤❤🖤
That low note is driving me crazy!!😭🤩🤩 (1:37)
The riff @2:40 made me say “DAYYYUM!”
G5 note @4:11 ❤❤❤❤❤
