I love how some of the people in this comment section act like they’re 25 year patrol vets. They’re probably 15 years old and go full sheepdog in front of their mirror after binge watching donut operator
You'll be a skilled liar and a grossly obese, 300lb sack of totally corrupt cop shit in no time, just like your fellow pigs. Remember, overtime fraud isn't stealing because you earned it.
Why do you guys sit in your patrol cars after getting the drivers license? What happens if the violator comes out of the car with a weapon or runs at you and by sitting in the car you have less time to react to the threat. Just wondering.
Because they have to run your info via their computer and radio system. They also do the paperwork, etc. Can’t do all of that while standing next to your vehicle.
@@ericgarcia3287The only time I ask dispatch to run a license is if I am outside of my patrol vehicle, if I can do the work myself no need to make dispatch do it. Kind of a courtesy, why make dispatch do something you could do yourself. Although I will type the license number into the comment section on the call for service.

we use old ass squads in our academy. I'm jealous
Do yall not angle your cars so you have part of an engine block for cover/consealment?
Some officers do but it’s purely a preference thing.
@@bellevuepolicedepartmentNE it's also preferential to wear your body armor, or to have bullets in your gun. Just preferential. Cover is optional.

We train for that and are always keeping a watchful eye out on the vehicle we have stopped.

@@worldtributes I though the dispatcher was the one who checked the DL status, license plate registration and warrant info and not the officer...lol
@@ericgarcia3287 They run it through dispatch, in their vehicle, while they fill out paperwork.

Unless he was left handed, bad tactic to use your right hand for holding a flashlight.
