I was a copper in England for a few years after I came out of the Royal Marines then emigrated to Canada to be a cop there…I had some busy and challenging times…but now happily retired in Spain..thanks for the video!
Thanks for your service. Would you say that the job of Canadian cops is the same as the US ones? If not, what are the major differences?
Sergio, my man! Him and I were stationed together and were roommates at Ft. Drum from ‘97 - ‘00. Been a long time brother! Hope your well!
Today is 12/26/23 and I am seeing this video & channel for the first time. I am so impressed with this man. Your home is a reflection of your character. We need more of these videos! Officer Machado, I will keep you in my prayers.

Same🙏
Thank you Sergio Machado and any other service member in the comments, and all the men and women out there serving the communities we share!
Support every law enforcement . And as a Mexican American who also works as a sheriff. Nothing but love and respect for our Raza doing this.
American Mexican,,,😅no Mexican American 😂
@@helderyoung848 What about African Americans lol is it American African, Irish American? Its common practice to place ethnicity before nationality when addressing someone or ones self
Thank you for the ride along. I hope people realize that even though today may have been a light day you are risking your life every day as all police officers do. Stay safe please!💙

Thank You Officer.Machado For Protecting And Servicing The City Of El Monte CA! Keep Being Safe And BEING SO BEAUTIFUL ❤️
Great story - thank you for sharing & thank you for your service! 🚔👊🤙
The officer mentioned being a trained first responder. Back when I was a park ranger for Federal Gov't years ago, all of us were trained first responders too. We operated on federal lands in remote areas, yet areas that had 1000s of people packed together in campgrounds and other facilities and there was a lot of alcohol and drugs being used as people recreated. We definitely had our share of medical issues and often an ambulance might be 30 mins or more to get there, so we had to know how to stabilize until advanced equipment and personnel could arrive. Although I had more trouble out of church groups than most of the partiers caused...lol
Awesome video. Thanks to Officer Machado and to the other officers risking their lives everyday to keep our city safer. 👏
Incredible insight into EPD. You guys have an a amzing team there. Thank you all for your service, the residents of El Monte are grateful.
Officer Sergio Machado Thank you for showing everyone about El Monte CA area.#1 Video is a hit need to do more. Hope to see you on the next one. Watching from Pacific Northwest Puyallup WA
Appreciate the insight to your day and definitely appreciate the service you guys/gals put out
Never needed a 🐽 apparently they do great things for you so you love them.
👻🥳🤣
I’m about to become a police officer, and as a jiu jitsu competitor it was a concern that I’d never have time to train again. But just seeing your wall of medals is reassuring.
Will you being doing more videos like this? This was great to see what an officer does during their shift
I’ve watched other cities do a day in the life, but this one was truly amazing. I live in Pasadena not too far from El Monte so to get a inside look I truly loved it. Good job good job. I cannot wait to see the next video.
great video ~ keep them coming. Thanks for your service , you're a beast.
5 minute power snack was pretty accurate
It looked like Starbucks
That definitely wasn't even a facsimile of a proper lunch
Great video.
Stay safe out there, and thank you for your continued service to our country.
He use to be my coach for jiu jitsu awesome seeing him again and as let’s he’s doing well great job machado !👍🏼
That’s so cool, was he already an officer while he was teaching?
"He used to be my coach, my teacher, my training officer" What such bullshit, I see this repetitive crap on every one of these videos.
Love these kind of videos!! Hope to see more of them!! ❤
Thank you EMPD and officer Machado for showing the Human side of a policer officer!!
Officer Machado is squared away and on top of his game. Ive been to California once and I remember going to El Monte.
El Monte’s finest! God bless y’all and stay safe. We need more videos of this series 👍🙏🏻
Thank you for your amazing work.
Love the video please stay safe you guys and you guys still have crown vics!! Long live the Crown Vic!!
Thank you for your service!!
Imagine doing a day in the life of a police officer and the officer doesn’t wear his seatbelt not one time while driving his patrol car😂
Imagine that's not the only thing no one else but you and I noticed. He violated the Constitution by entering the white car without a warrant. Don't give me that probable cause crap, either. The car did NOT come back as stolen, yet he decided to take it upon himself to enter the car, search it and tow it. That falls under illegal searches and seizures. He literally said it himself. "It's not illegal to break your key off in your ignition."
@@joshuaskirvin I just thought it was funny and ironic that him being a police officer wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. As far as the car who knows if it was or it wasn’t stolen. These guys know what they are looking for. Maybe someone called and reported it. The car was stripped so it was a good call on his part.
@@johnnysluck3052 I don't mean to sound rude or like I am arguing, but the cop literally says " I don't know if it's stolen. We're going to tow it anyway and keep it in impound for safekeeping." That is against the law and unconstitutional AF. Think about it as if it was your car or your kid's car. You were working on it, had to run up the street for parts or to drop off something to be repaired and you come back and this dude had it towed for no reason. He didn't even check with hotel management. This is PRIVATE PROPERTY. He has ZERO rights to do what he did. Just because he's a cop, doesn't give him a free pass to violate the Constitution.
@@joshuaskirvin If you think theres even a slight possibility it's been "worked on" you're delusional lol. Youre making guesses like "He didn't even check with hotel management" when he very well could have. That's how an edited video works, we don;t get the full story. Also do you really think he would be dumb enough to do something hes not allowed to on camera on his own department's youtube channel? You realize different laws vary not only by state, but by county and city. You're welcome to show me the legislation where I'm wrong though, unless you just enjoy talking out of your ass
Do more of these! He is awesome!
He’s problem written $100,000 dollars in tickets. Ask those families how great he is
@@OutdoorCanadians they very likely deserved it, so what?
Thank for your service god bless our law enforcement 💯💯💯
Can you do a video on report writing (example, situations when and when not to write a report) also, we need more patrol videos. This was awesome. Stay safe!
Great video. Thanks to the Officer for sharing his day. Just a quick recommendation for his weapon at the range. SIG recommends running a full size dust cover for the Spectre Comp slides. There should be a S, M, or L on the back strap of the grip so if it’s a M pickup a X-Series full medium grip frame. The Velocity magwell and the X300 will fit perfectly on that too. Great setup I ran something similar. The new 320 AXG Legion slide is pretty sick too!
Lol, you don't know
That was a badass way to do a remedial action drill at 0:23. For anyone wondering, the remedial action drill also knowns as the 5-step is how to clear a malfunction. The malfunction Officer Machado had is called a double stalk. This did not show it, but for our department, we first do an immediate action which is: to seat the mag, then cycle the slide. If that does not work when then move on to remedial action which is: lock the slide to the rear (the officer did not do this), drop your mag, release the slide, reinsert the mag, then drop the slide.
Great job and very professional. I feel lucky at my agency we have take-home cars and I start and end my shift from my house lol.
Great video, great content.
Get a big hug from a police officer, Guardia Civil in Spain (Europe).
This is awesome to see! 😁
This is really good. Please keep doing more of this series. It’s informational, gives accountability and hopefully helps some of these TH-cam LEO experts realize that they are full of more terrible info than they realize.
Cops have one of the safest jobs in America. The reason there are bad opinions are valid. This video shows us how much time cops waste on the taxpayers dime
If y’all can’t do da time, please don’t do da crimes
@@chuckxu5910 wasn’t talking about crimes. Most infractions are monetary. Many precincts are meeting financial quotas.
That’s like telling a single mom who just got laid off don’t be broke 🤷🏽♂️ funny thing is most people could be criminals if they were caught. And it’s always at the discretion of said 🐽 so what if they decided to target you??
@@OutdoorCanadians The money makes itself, I drive around and there are plenty of reckless tailgating aholes who found their licenses in their cereal boxes just begging to be pulled over.
Good Job officer Machado, Blessings always!
One of my favorite officers period! would like to meet him one day! God Bless you Brother Stay safe out there!
More of these! I can watch this officer do his job in many more videos. Great cop. Being that I’m from southern commiefornia it’s good to see our officers out there doing a good job day in and day out. Stay safe and keep up the good work. As he showed it’s a team environment and takes a lot of people to make the machine work. I hope they make more. Great job El Monte 👊🏾🤘🏾
It would be nice to see more videos like these ! Thank you
Looking good CACTI boy. Last time I saw you was at CSUDH during a match. Happy to see you doing good things. Be safe!
My kids and I used to live in Elmonte in 1984. My little girls started kindergarten at Longley Way elementary school there. God bless you for your work there.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you, officer.
Please do more videos like this! amazing!
These cops look so squared away. Hi & tight haircuts. They're physically fit. Neat, pressed uniforms and very well equipped. The fact this guy was in a Recon platoon in 75th Rangers makes him a very useful fellow to the SWAT team as well. You guys got a good one there by the looks of things.
As a former school bus monitor I know what it's like to have to do a quick bite to eat in between school bus routes. Thank you for your service to that community I've been considering a career in law enforcement but I'm not sure if certain health conditions would from applying to the Department
Seems like a good stand up guy. Well organized. Stay safe keep up the good work.
I start in a few days transitioning from HVAC after 8 years in the trade. 25 now and looking forward to this new journey
Love seeing the shirt stays and the shined boots.
Great video and great variety of activity across the day .
What a well groomed officer of the law, hats of to you man…. Keep it up.
Yep this is a high standard police force. Very good😊👍
Great video. I wish I could have watched it every day
I enjoyed this. Getting to know what a Police officer goes through the day in life is pretty amazing! Thank you for sharing, learned that it’s not an easy job for the weak! God bless and always watch your six 💙🖤
They drive around and pick and choose who’s life to ruin that day. What’s so exciting about that?
@@OutdoorCanadians how ignorant can you be? You probably get a papercut and call them for help.
This was great to watch! :) I hope El Monte police make more of these 😍
Great video. If I was 10 years younger in my LE career, I'd love to work at EMPD. Also it would have been nice to see Lt. Choe in the video.
Thank you for your Military and Law Enforcement service🤠👏🏾 ! April 19, 2024 10:37PM
Blessings n Love>> 4 All LE Officers...Stay Safe
Thank you for your service
This was so wholesome to watch.
Great progression and dream job!
Sergio Machado is seen as a good guy and a great police officer great job on the video

@@chuckxu5910 what? What Tatoos? I don’t have any tattos in my body!
Ex-cop from Texas here. I remember my 5-minute power snacks as well. God Bless our officers.
Statistically one of the safest jobs in America 🐽
Do you miss being a cop. Why are you not an officer anymore.
🤣 5 minute power snack same thing.. told you he's not depressed, and neither am I.🛡️ 🥊 Ahiii, what are they trying to do to us..
Love the video. Keep them coming.
very valuable officer with his skills and experience!
very cool channel, as ive been a police volunteer for over ten years now in to different ca police depts, as i really respect what these officers do daily, and thanks for your service sir!
well done...and Machado was high and tight.....great editing as well
Thank you for you service
Them gun skills in the beginning made me Whoop!! out loud I swear 😅💯💯
Puttin some polish on the boots… Respect man 👍
Love the B2V mugs..... 👍
Well done interesting video, officer Machado very professional, like how he uses that certain way with words they trained to do when describing a situation or crime scene, there used to be a video on tube of two el Monte police crown Vics responding and as they go through the intersecting street one jumps up in the air, they were hauling ass
Great Shift, great day and great Video and Great Shooting only lost 2 Lol. I'm a 25 year veteran of our Dept. Herd in Wisconsin. I wish my first shifts would go that eazy?! Stay safe brother in blue!
Thank you for sharing❤
Not all cops are bad cops. Great job, Officer Castillo! Much success to you.
Maybe not, bad but many turn a blind eye to misconduct and other criminal acts by cops. I honestly don't care for cops and the "real" change for me is when I see cops handcuffing other cops who commit crimes. And since that is 'highly improbable' I guess I will never be a "back the blue" zombie...
El Mon-teh is how it’s pronounced. Love the vid 💪🏽
Great video. Awesome medals collection
I think all Police Departments should do these. It connects citizens and officers together.
