I've noticed that you seem to forget about or choose not to use the Mario World spin jumps often in these hacks. Many deaths could be avoided from things like sparkys and say thwomps if you bounce off them with a spin as opposed to try and avoid them in a tight space or while moving quickly.
All in all though man I love seeing you showcase SMW hacks, I've been a fan of SMW hacks in general for years.
Please come back to this one at some point.
I really enjoyed this hack and not many are as consistently decent as this one.

IMO, the best way to play this game is to do a saved sate (with 5 lives, like a loaded game) at the beginning of each level, and replay from that every time you die before the halfway point. That simulates reloading after every death, but it gives you a hardcore game once you get to halfway. The 5 lives you have kick in. You can also get a 1-up sometimes. It makes every level have the same challenge to it, and saves time on wasted attempts getting to halfway with 2 tries left.

Despite some cruel hitboxes, I really liked this hack - especially some of the backgrounds and music.

One day you should go back to Brutal Mario World now that you have the Everdrive. That is a good, fair challenge hack and probably the most famous.
