Ive got an old set from before 2010 and a really old can of prep. The Mojo's came on the tony kart iwhen i bought it. and i saved the tire for the last restortaion purchase because i know it be a while before i could start putting laps down. Luckily I now work at a drag strip with a kart track, and im going to see how far I can lap on these tires this summer on my tony kart, before i buy new tires for the kart! I wont be racing on the tire just open track time.
That’s cool.
Good stuff as always brother 👍
Thank you very much!
It's amazing how much "stuff" just accumulates over the years.
Yes we do. Uuuuugh.
Don't you typically internally prep to get to a certain Duro? So what if your tire that you've already internally prepped starts to harden back up? Wouldn't you roll them again to get the Duro back down?
I don’t use internal fro that but some do. And yes aggressive prep will usually brand a duro back down that has come up.
I run rwyb and im wearing out my left rear twice and fast as the right rear. I had someone tell me that is normal. Is this a kart setup issue or is it pretty normal in high horsepower applications?
They are more abusive on the LR than most karts yes. It’s sometimes a blend between slamming down the LR and driving alot of HP off the corner and increased cross. Add in also brands like Vega and Maxxis make a very thin LR tire.
@@kart6t3_ben 10-4 thanks man. Yea it’s Vegas, can’t beat the traction but that left rear is good for about 40-50 green flag laps and it’s gone.
