I have oily, sensitive, acne skin. My top sunscreen under makeup is the litttlextra rice berry sunscreen SPF 50. It works well even with makeup. For hormonal acne on dry skin, be wary of using chemical exfoliants more than 1-2 times a week, it can cause more breakouts by damaging the skin barrier. I would also be wary of salicylic acid as it is also a gentle exfoliant and shouldn't be used more than once a day.
Hi there I'm relatively new to skincare. I just wanted to know if getting pimples while on your period(and they stay for weeks and leave dark spots) is considered a type of hormonal acne?
Thank you so much for making these update videos! It’s a great reminder that having acne is completely normal. Just ordered some of these products & I hope it works for me :)
It's worth mentioning the LRP Effaclar Duo in the US has benzoyl peroxide instead of salicylic acid like it does in Canada and other countries, but it works alright as a spot treatment for bad acne 👍
theres a difference! effaclar duo contains benzoyl peroxide and IS NOT meant to be use as a moisturiser while effaclar duo (+) can be used as a moisturiser (it contains salicylic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide!)
I'm suffering adult hormonal acne right now! Thank you for sharing and I'm happy that ypur skin is getting better ❤ please pray for my skin recovery too :")
This is so relatable for me! I have hormonal acne and I recently stopped my birth control pills for some reasons and started to focus more on the diet. My acne is coming back and there was never a time I had clear or close to clear skin at all. It will be either too much of acne, puss filled painful breakouts thats also multiplies at night as a side sleeper😭 Its killing my mood and confidence or leaves hyperpigmentation all over my face! It also messes up my mental health too! I guess I am trying my best to not visit a derm as I honestly dont think they will help nor they were before!😢 But now given my mental health cause of acne additional to other stuff I think I need to visit a derm 😕
Hi hope you are doing good did go to the derm me I did was prescribed curacne done it twice was so happy of the result five month later I was back to square 0 My confidence is gone I am muddy fight with my family it messed me up.. no body gave me answers I am really living it badly
From what I remember (correct me if I'm wrong plz) I watched your previous video about how you went on accutane and what skincare you used after to heal your skin. I was on accutane whilst watching that video, and then after 6-12 months after finishing my course, my hormonal acne came back, and I'm still dealing with it. It's a difficult and mentally draining process, but I hope anyone going through this can get to a point where we can be happy and confident in our skin :) I just wanted to share this with you Cynthia, and let you know that I'm grateful that you shared your journey, as it made me feel a little better that I wasn't the only one going through this hormonal/adult acne experience!
Trust me, as a person who has suffered from acme for a long period and got ridden of it, you don't need all of that. You just need cleanser, moisturizer ( appropriate to your skin type niacinamide is good ingredient ), sun screen, exfoliant( 1 or 2 times a week if you dont have something like salicylic acid or other exfoliant in your cleanser already) Go to your doctor he might prescript adapalene witch is sort of retinol. It helps with anti-aging and acne as well But the most important thing that made the radical change for me was when I paid attention to my gut health and consumed more probiotics.
Omg I can relate - I went off birth control for 3 months beginning of this year to try to *heal* my hormones and it was not fun I went back on theM HAHA
Goodluck dear girl, I just wanted to recommend the somebymi propolis trial kit since you love the acne line. Propolis changed my life and I don't get cystic acne any more. It's great for preventative. I also used to use the cosrx cleanser you're using but have since switched to the snail mucin one which was also game changing for me. I can tell it it is far more gentle on the skin but still a very effective cleanser as I patched tested on my hands to clean off foundation. Also available in trial size and or trial kit. Both need at least a week to see results as they're gentle, but I've had lasting results from the switch. Finally, if you're using foundation daily, consider skin79. It is hard for me to find products that don't trigger my acne and I felt the skin79 pink and orange ones were very sensitive, acne prone skin safe. I think it would be fine for either dry or oily skin. All the best dear, I am using most of your same recommended products so I hope this helps heal your skin too. Ps perhaps see a dietician regarding your latest breakout? Cutting out dairy for me worked. I do still eat dairy occasionally but in moderation and it's been the biggest factor for me personally. Perhaps there's something you're eating that could be upsetting your hormone imbalance?
Honestly, you should get into the Centella Asiatica serum by skin 1004, for your redness and hyperpigmentation, with the matching cleansing foam. It will help lighten redness and will give longevity instead of some of the quick fix treatments you gave been using. I also recommend the Nombuzin pads for hyperpigmentation and overall repair of you skin barrier, the exfoliating products are very abrasive especially using them daily even if they claim to be light.
I tried some super gentle ones but haven't found any I've loved that are worth the 'purging' phase yet!! Definitely on my list to research more about though!! Any recos? x
@@inspiroue I used the prescription grade for years. It's actually been researched for over 20 years. It started as Acne but they found out it's also anti aging. It's rough starting. May 2 or 3 times until you can tolerate more. Takes about 2 weeks. But on USA it's only prescription. I guess for proper dosage. Vitamin A . You can discuss with your doctor. It's a personal decision.
after ur last video on skin care, I switched to some by me and I think it's the best products I have ever used, I use the blue bottle because that one helped me but ur video helped me discover that brand, and I also use my guasha a lot more and it helps with morning puffiness , I'm still looking for the product to reduce my black under eyes but i feel a lot more better about my skin since ur last video so thank you soooooo much ❤❤
just came across this video and resonated with a lot of the things you’ve said!!! but just wanted to say that instead of using pore strips for black heads, you should try the beauty of joseon apricot peeling gel!! My nose was clogged with blackheads and this product was the only thing that helped and it always leaves my skin super soft without drying it! I only use it when I know that my skin is starting to feel congested! I also heard that pore strips are bad for your skin bcos it tugs on it :(
hi ur so beautiful and well-spoken! i appreciate ur videos on acne, they provided me comfort earlier this year when i had a terrible breakout. when i got off birth control earlier this year, my hormonal acne looked so similar to yours with the redness / clusters of pustles. i thought i’d share some ingredients i introduced (slowly!) to my sensitive, combo acne-prone skin. i hope this can offer any help to you :) - mugwort!!!! my personal favorite. i used an essence, but it shows up often in kbeauty and jbeauty products. - mandelic acid. the BEST acid for sensitized skin imo. i use in the pm - azealic acid. i use paulas choice, AM and then follow with a liberal application of a non pore clogging mineral sunscreen. special mention: avene blemish control serum. i used this in conjuction with my actives and saw a massive improvement in my pms type acne. i have a hunch it may be because of the milk thistle ingredient but who knows! this really worked for me in a way i wasn’t expecting. incredibly soothing but effective for really inflamed acne.
I was looking for your video every time I watching youtube if you would have updated your skincare routine:) now here we go..btw I also struggling post-pill and my acne’s come back like they’re invited for the party since I quit pill but don’t worry we are working on that..Fighting sista❤️
I purchased some of the products from your last video and it truly helped my skin!! So thankful for you!! Can't wait to try the products on this video 💖✨.
Hi Cynthia I love watching your videos! They are so helpful and relaxing. I also struggle with acne alot, currently on my second course of accutane :( Will you take accutane again if the treatments don't work?
Hey I had really severe cystic acne and took accutane three times. I also tried birth control and spironolactone. But even without these drugs I was able to get somewhat control with a Benzoyl peroxide face wash in the morning, moisturiser, spf. Night time salicyclic acid face wash, tretinoin first 0.5 percent and then 0.1 percent daily followed by moisturiser. Cutting out all the other fancy products helped me tremendously and was suggested by my derm( although at first it was hard to do as I love exploring products). When I tried tretinoin alone I didnt find it helped completely and I may have had a purging phase. But when I incorporated BP face wash in am ( and kept the face wash on while brushing my teeth - I used the cerave 4 percent one ) I found it worked well and even before accutane I gained control. I took accutane because I didnt want to keep doing this and get scarring after acne. I hope any of this helps. Now I am acne free and can finally think beyond the stuff happening on my face which was affecting my self confidence. I think you are doing awesome, I wish though I took care of my acne when i was 17 rather than wait till I was 33, I could have avoided scarring which no skin care product can help with really!
@@ivy47829 nope other than fact that I don’t get acne anymore I am fine! I know everyone is different but for me it changed my skin for the better and I would do it again if I have to. To be honest it didn’t even make me that dry - while on it also I could not use moisturizer and even now I have oily skin - so it helped me go from acne oily to oily combo without acne. @@ivy47829 my first time on accutane was a really low dose for only 4 months - that’s why It didn’t work - - but it did work for to a large extent - then again i did very slow dose for 2 or 3 months - again it worked but not long lasting. Then after a decade I got more serious about it and went to Derm in a diff country where they are more confident about giving accutane - he gave it at a higher dose for 8 to 9 months and it worked. They also told me in the 30s at this dose the chances of it coming back are less. Each time I did fine. At the highest dose which for me was 80 daily or so I found a little dryness and some eye dryness maybe but when I lowered it a bit I felt fine! I would do it again if I had to ! Of course don’t get pregnant on it and listen to derms and do it under medical supervision ! But I would recommend it if u have scarring cystic acne.

ever since October my skin has been breaking out causing me to have dark spots on ny face and stuff :( so this video was deffo helpful on what i should do w my skin lol
Thanks for the update video on your skincare routine! I see that a lot of your products all have actives, do you use all these products on the same day or space them out? Also would retinol help with active acne?
I space them out!! Usually rotate them and also use different ones AM and PM :) I tried retinol for a bit but my skin didn't like it - I've heard it works well for acne scarring so I might give it another try in the future!
Omg thank you!! I'm still honestly figuring out good makeup for my marks and texture tbh - in this video I was using the Jung Sae Mool cushion foundation tho!! x
you have amazing skin !!! the miracle cream has also been my holy grail moisturizer, but I'm looking into trying out the Dr. G Red Blemish Cream as my AM moisturizer. can I use them simultaneously in both my AM & PM routine, or will that be too much?
Thank you!! And I’m actually going to test that one out soon too!! From the ingredient list it seems not super intense, so I would do a patch test am/pm to see how your skin would react first but I think it could be ok! I hear it’s a very calming moisturizer, the Dr G one!
thank u, ur videos had helped me because i also suffer from hormonal acne. i found out that ur routine works well on me too. i hope u try the beauty of joseon glow serum because it works well on me!😊
Wow 😍, such a useful video!! ❤🧡I like BLACK PEARL creams, great effect, although they can be hard to find. I personally get them from Dead sea shop, where the discounts are nice.😋😋🤩
Hi dear, loved your video I am also going through this phase of my life. Dealing with acne can be extremely tiring. Also you can try differin gel it’s really effect and I have seen a huge difference in my skin after I started using it.
I totally feel you! I’m going through the same right now and it’s absolutely frustrating 😢 I am using most of the products as you, going Korean with all of my skincare products is really helping me. Sending love! ❤
you’re literally so gorgeous. u have no idea how much it means to see someone else struggle with acne as well. it’s always been my worst security and as a teenager, i feel like i have the worst acne out of all the other teenagers i know. but your tips have actually helped me. and seeing someone as pretty as u experience acne as much as i do makes me feel a lot less alone. 🤍

I have dark acne spots that have been disappearing for 6 months and I was thinking of buying Axis Y Serum and Goodal Vitamin C, do you think it would help me get rid of them?
I literally cant...i was on antibiotics and it started to clear out for 3 months monocycline. Used topical tretinoin with antibiotic too at the same time. My skin was finally not having any active breakouts. Until this August my acne came back but worst. Is like cystic moderate to severe acne. They are so painful and it just left me with texture and hyperpigmentation. At this point, i might have to see again my dermatologist and asked if i can start on Accutane 😭😭😭
Hi dear, I just wanted to know that my skin is really breaking out after using AHA PHA BHA Miracle cream, Would you recommend something to cool it down, This has happened for the very first time I am using Cleanser> Beauty of joseon serum> AHA BHA Miracle cream> topping with beauty of joseon sunscreen. I don't know If its purging but my skin is like lot of acne coming up I only had 3-4 acnes and was majorly using this for acne scars and Pigmentation issues. and now my skin is bumpy cyst tiny acnes.
Imo if you struggle with damaged skin barrier, i would suggest you to try panthenol based creams which are known to heal active acne and damaged skin barrier faster! If you are into korean skincare then etude soon jung x2 barrier ( it have panthenol and Madecassoside) as for barrier repair. Any other panthenol cream with decent 2-5% panthenol or higher will help your skin to fight acne breakout faster.
@@inspiroue I myself have oily combination skin also acne prone! All though i have calmed my skin a lot with tretinoin. But one of the most result seen from my skincare product's is definitely panthenol and skin barrier repair creams! Most of us usually over cleanse our skin easily and usually there is nothing wrong cleansing our skin well, but it also means that we would need stronger barrier cream to compensate your cleansing. Most of the time by keeping skin barrier healthy, your skin usually would breakout less too! 😅
Hello I have a very important question: Will pigmentation and dark spots return to their condition after a certain period of stopping using this serum? (dark spot correcting glow )
The pigmentation and dark spots won't get darker because you stop using the serum, but they will get darker with exposure to the sun without wearing sunscreen!
Hey, What serum you clubbed with dark spot-correcting glow serum, You clubbed it with one of the ordinary products could not understand was it Ordinary Alpha Arbutin ?
I've linked a few options in the description! Online: yesstyle, stylevana and olive young. In-person, I've seen them at asian grocery stores but prices are usually marked up a good amount!
Hope you notice my comment. I would just like to ask if you use at the same time the Ordinary niacinamide 10% and the Y axis dark spot corrector glow serum?
have you tried LRP Cicaplast Baume B5? i heard its good but just wanted to know from you since i looove your sharing and content, plus your skin condition is similar to mine :))
Aw thank you so much!! And yes I have -- I found that it's a tad heavy so can clog pores which I wasn't huge a fan of! I've heard of such amazing things about it but just not personally a fan when there are so many other options to pick from! x
Am I doing it right? When I have makeup on, I first cleanse my skin using oil cleanser! Then I head straight to shower and then after showering, I finish off my 2nd cleansing. It is ok doing this?

You're so welcome! And aw yay I will!! x
can you please make a step to step skincare usiny the product for am and pm? thank you
I have a skincare routine video!!
Love your makeup in this video! Would love a video on how to cover the acne marks
Is axis-y serum suitable for dry and acne prone skin? Please reply!
Omg i miss this!! Life saver
Yay so happy I can help!! x
FRESH & RELAXING!!!❤❤❤
thank you!! x

I did try differin gel for a bit but found it super stripping on my skin -- I'm so happy it works for you though!!
hi, thank you for being honest!!!
Always!
Yes, the Caudalie product is expensive. It didn’t do anything good for my skin. In fact it made me darker.
No way!! Ya I think there are cheaper ones that offer similar results!
I totally feel you!
I’m going through the same right now and it’s absolutely frustrating 😢
I am using most of the products as you, going Korean with all of my skincare products is really helping me.
Sending love! ❤
I feel you!! We both got this - big hugs x
Which products
Thank you for sharing! Which birthcontrol causes you acne?
So would you think the Axis y glow serum would better if paired with the ordinary niacinamide?

you’re literally so gorgeous. u have no idea how much it means to see someone else struggle with acne as well. it’s always been my worst security and as a teenager, i feel like i have the worst acne out of all the other teenagers i know. but your tips have actually helped me. and seeing someone as pretty as u experience acne as much as i do makes me feel a lot less alone. 🤍

Will axis y dark spot serum remove my acne marks?
Have you tried ISntree BHA 2%? I found that toner is very effective control my blackheads and acne.

Have u tried skin barrier repairing so like stopping all actives for a few months and seeing how your skin feels during that period
Yes! This was what my maintenance phase kind of was when I barely used actives! For my acne, when I stop using actives it gets worse haha x
I have sister and she’s 13 year and have combo skin so can she use asixy🎉serum
Life saver video , thank you . ❤❤❤
Glad it helped!
I have dark acne spots that have been disappearing for 6 months and I was thinking of buying Axis Y Serum and Goodal Vitamin C, do you think it would help me get rid of them?
When did it all get so complicated
Can I use the axis y dark spot correcting serum on active acne?
Eye cream name?
I literally cant...i was on antibiotics and it started to clear out for 3 months monocycline. Used topical tretinoin with antibiotic too at the same time. My skin was finally not having any active breakouts. Until this August my acne came back but worst. Is like cystic moderate to severe acne. They are so painful and it just left me with texture and hyperpigmentation. At this point, i might have to see again my dermatologist and asked if i can start on Accutane 😭😭😭
It’s helpful. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Glad it was helpful! x
Is it okay to use the some by mi aha bha toner while i also use the good molecules retinol?
Hi dear, I just wanted to know that my skin is really breaking out after using AHA PHA BHA Miracle cream, Would you recommend something to cool it down, This has happened for the very first time I am using Cleanser> Beauty of joseon serum> AHA BHA Miracle cream> topping with beauty of joseon sunscreen. I don't know If its purging but my skin is like lot of acne coming up I only had 3-4 acnes and was majorly using this for acne scars and Pigmentation issues. and now my skin is bumpy cyst tiny acnes.
The Som By Mi pimple patches are really good. I was not impressed by the Cosrx patches.
Oh I'll need to try them! I love the Olive Young patches, and the trouble cure ones with microneedles!
have u tried anua heartleaf soothinh toner? :) it is claimed to be korea's no 1 toner
I am testing it out right now!! Along with other Anua best sellers, video soon 🥰
I'm 17, Can i use axis y dark sport serum?
So can i use the ordinary and axis y (niacinamide) together? And if i can which one will be first? Please answer. Thank you😁
You can and do both! But I think you’d be fine just using ordinary niacinimade and alpha arbutin combo
Hey, is there any other websites that are trustworthy and has original skincare products ???
I try to link them all in my descriptions! I usually buy from Yesstyle, Olive Young or Style Vana :)
Ooooo this is such a great tip thank you!! Let me look into the etude one and try!!
Is it fine to use ordinary niainamide and some by mi AHA BHA PHA toner and moisture together?
I do!! It works fine for me!
Yes it was the alpha arbutin!
Which ordinary serum she told to pair up with axis y dark spot correcting serum?
Alpha arbutin!!
From where do you buy skincare products apart from Amazon in Canada?
I've linked a few options in the description! Online: yesstyle, stylevana and olive young. In-person, I've seen them at asian grocery stores but prices are usually marked up a good amount!
Hope you notice my comment. I would just like to ask if you use at the same time the Ordinary niacinamide 10% and the Y axis dark spot corrector glow serum?
I do, yes!
Thank you@@inspiroue - new subscriber here :) Which of the two you apply first? Do you used them day and night?
have you tried LRP Cicaplast Baume B5? i heard its good but just wanted to know from you since i looove your sharing and content, plus your skin condition is similar to mine :))
Aw thank you so much!! And yes I have -- I found that it's a tad heavy so can clog pores which I wasn't huge a fan of! I've heard of such amazing things about it but just not personally a fan when there are so many other options to pick from! x
Could you please tell me if ordinary niacinamide or axis y dark spot serum is better / faster in reducing dark spots
Alpha arbutin + niacinamide combo for me!
Am I doing it right? When I have makeup on, I first cleanse my skin using oil cleanser! Then I head straight to shower and then after showering, I finish off my 2nd cleansing. It is ok doing this?
It's fine
