the singer is paul rodgers he was also the singer for Bad Company later in in his career and also had a band with Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin called the Firm. Sang with Queen after Freddie Mercury passed. He has great songs and a wonderful rabbit hole to get into.
Indeed. I saw the first major tour of Bad Company, then got to see him so many years later with Jimmy Page. One of the greatest singers of our time for sure.
Paul Rodgers the singer was 20 when this was recorded and was 21 when it was released. A rich whisky soaked voice way ahead of his youth and still a potent voice even now at the age of 74 , the man took care of his voice
Paul Kossoff was known before Angus Young of ACDC became famous so Young obviously had listened to Kossoff. Kossoff's dad was quite a well known film star but this only became well known after Paul Kossoff's death. The bass player Andy Fraser at 15 was in the UK's most iconic blues band John Mayalls Blues Breakers.
Bad Company, "Feel Like Makin' Love" from their 1975 album Straight Shooter. An awesome song that I first heard while on the dance floor of a college party I attended just after I had moved from England at age 21 to live in the US. Great song that brings back great memories, especially as, at that time, I was kinda feeling like a "fish out of water" in this huge new country.... ❤
BP, Paul Rodgers is the singer here. Another thing I don't think many know is that he sang with Queen for 4 or 5 years after Freddie passed away. He knew Brian May. Paul was also in Bad Company. I'm not sure if you've listened to them but Feel Like Making Love, Shooting Star, or the self titled song, Bad Company are excellent choices IMHO.
Definitely one of the seminal songs of hard rock. I was in England at Christmas 1970, and this song was everywhere. I recall sitting in a pub in Canterbury, in the shadow of the cathedral, in a building that was about 900 years old, called The Bishop's Finger, drinking gin and listening to this.
The 2 mics were for House PA and the other was for the TV audio. Free was around long before AC/DC was created. Formerly of Free, Bad Company, The Firm, The Law and Queen + Paul Rodgers
Scottish person here. Not a big rap fan but i enjoy your insights. This is just pure rock and roll. That is why it sounds a bit like ACDC because their sound is pure rock.
AC/DC is a great band. Sadly Bon and Malcolm gone. Maybe they were influenced by Free as this vid is a few years before they started getting airplay. The Voice, Paul Rodgers is the GOAT. Untouchable. He still sings tremendously well and is one of a small few of contemporaries that can still cut it. Most late 60s/70s vocalists just cannot do it anymore. He can. Travesty Free or Bad Co not in the RnR Hall of Fame. Should replace the last word with Shame. Oh and Lizzy, Badfinger, UFO and Tull also should be in there.
Yes!! I was 7. I had an album, a radio promotional Wolfman Jack compilation. This was on that album, along with a plethora of bangers. Played the bleep out of that thing. 😎🤘
In 1970, all of them were under 21 years old, and when the band were formed and recorded their first album (Tons of Sobs), Andy Frasier (bass player) was 15.
THE DRUMMER!!! Drummers never get enough attention or credit. Drums are the heartbeat of this music. And you know nothing survives with out the beat of the heart.
When "All Right Now" was recorded the youngest band member was 15 years old, and the senior member was 19. On their album cover, they look so young, now they're old men. My interpretation for the song is he thought he was a smooth operator, who to his surprise met his match, and they made the perfect couple together.
paul rodgers is considered one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time by other musicians.he sang with bad company which in my opinion they dont get enough credit for how good they were.one of my top 5 bands of all time...
:D Talk about *free!* Look at all that hair! I used to hear all this on the radio in the car or on a vinyl album on the stereo at home. It wasn't until MTV came out in 1981 that a lot of us began to see the films of the live performances we'd missed back in the 70's. :)
This was the days before huge PA systems and multi-track mixing desks were commonly used. The mics were simply fed direct to speakers, or into a small mixer, then to the speakers. Therefore two usually meant one going to stage right, the other to stage left in order that both sides of the house could hear equally well.
This performance looks very much like what I used to experience in our 70's high school... about once a year, a band would come and play in the gym for the whole school during an assembly. There would then be another concert later in the evening and we'd all go back to rock some more. The stacks of amps and speakers brings back the memories. Raw sound and raw talent... that was a 70's experience for sure. Thanks for bringing this one as It took me down memory lane once more. You're the very best Mr. Pegasus!
This was on a tape of songs I recorded off the radio when I was a teen. My Dad dug it out of my closet and mailed it to me when I was in Saudi Arabia in 1990/91.
I love this song! Love Paul Rodgers! He sounds even better live! I saw him live when was doing lead vocals for Queen when they toured the U.S.A about 15 or more years ago.
Joy...we see it. This is what music used to be for the musicians and the audience. So many special moments are out there to be discovered. Keep going! :)
I was born in 78 and because my dad listened to Free around me I grew up loving them, along with Grand Funk Railroad, Tower of Power, etc...the list goes on. My best friend is 68, I am an old soul at 45.
Gosh, I remember this song so well, it was on Top of the Pops in the UK often and we all loved it. Yes, there was certainly some really great music in the 1970s, we were so lucky being around and experiencing it all first hand, great memories!😊👍
Classic Paul Rodgers . Now you gotta dig into 'Bad Company'😁🤘🤙 He actually sang with Queen for a bit as well. They Invited him into the band during an Induction into the R&R Hall of Fame. ( I think it was KISS's Induction...)
The singer from the FREE: From 2005 to 2009 he was the singer of Queen + Paul Rodgers, whose world tours also featured the free hits All Right Now, Fire and Water, Little Bit of Love and Wishing Well. Greetings from northern Germany 🇩🇪♥️
LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER THIS PERFOMANCE THEY MADE 2 LINEUP CHANGES AND CHANGED THE BAND NAME TO. BAD COMPANY. AND THE REST WAS HISTORY... THE 1ST BAND SIGNED TO LED ZEPPELIN'S SWAN SONG LABEL... I STILL REMEMBER THAT 1ST BAD COMPANY ALBUM THE DAY IT WAS RELEASED RADIO STATIONS LIKE KSAN BACK THEN WOULD PLAY AN ENTIRE SIDE...THAT'S HOW RADIO USED TO BE....
What are you on about, total rubbish, two different bands,in my opinion not in the same league,Free were a real raw rock band,Paul Rogers and the drummer formed Bad Company.
Well the history is a little more involved then that - if you were to simplify it- sure you could say that. After Andy Frazer left due to creative differences they made another album called Heartbreaker - Paul Rogers turned down the Deep Purple gig and started to put a band together with guitarist Mick Ralphs from “Mott the Hopple”- Bassist Boz Barrel from King Crimson & Simon Kirk of course from Free Somewhere in there they were playing with others
Yup,that whole album was fire!🔥We used to smoke the silly smoke, and listen to the whole album! Along with Rush,Led Zeppelin,Queen,Yes,Pink Floyd,E.L.O.,AC/DC,Van Halen...🤘🤘
Welcome to the amazing music of Free. They were teens when they wrote All Right Now. You could do no better than to watch the rest of the set from Doing Their Thing in 1970. This was before guitarist Paul Kossoff went big time on his drug fuelled self destruction. In my opinion Free were the best of their era but were not around for long enough. Singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirk went on to form Bad Company when Free fell apart. Andy Fraser went solo and emigrated across the pond to the US. He was a great bassist and songwriter. Other Free Songs to check out: The Stealer, Woman, Mr Big, Fire and Water, Wishing Well and Be My Friend. AC/DC were much later but l'll bet Free influenced them.
great group, we did have some real amazing groups in the day. so lucky to have lived through it 1st hand. luv the reations you do, so nice to see tour expressions at times lol. ❤❤❤
Free where formed in 1968 and had a number of hits. Paul Rodgers the Singer has one of the greatest Rock Voices, he and the Drummer went onto form Bad Company!
The Band FREE Evolved into Bad Company ❣️ wonderful rabbit hole 🕳 to dive into. PAUL RODGERS lead singer, love his stuff.
Free were twice the band Bad Co were. Yo can hear the creaking by the second album.
Members of Free, King Crimson and Mott the Hoople evolved into Bad Company.
I did not know that! Thanks! 🌸
I didn't realize that was Paul Rodgers
Lots of badco got to do!
Yep. We had REAL MUSIC in the 70's.
Damn straight!!!

OOOOOOO YAH BIG TIME i a big 70s BRAT
Paul Rodgers is one of the Greatest lead singers ever! Free, Bad Company, The Firm, Queen. Paul is a legend!!
We had it good in the 70 s. So glad you’re enjoying it, takes us back to our youth. Keep it going, you make me smile every time.
Miss those care free days!!!!!
We definitely did…still listen to music daily from our era…62 and born in ‘62…respect…
Agree
the singer is paul rodgers he was also the singer for Bad Company later in in his career and also had a band with Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin called the Firm. Sang with Queen after Freddie Mercury passed. He has great songs and a wonderful rabbit hole to get into.
He then went on to be the lead singer of Bad Company
And The Firm and even Queen for a bit!
The Firm also had Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin.... short life but great interesting band!
Paul Rodgers, one of the greatest voices ever!
17 year old Andy Fraser writes himself one of the best basslines ever AND one of the greatest riffs. DAMN!
Maybe Mr Big is better?
Good debate to have over adult beverages. Both are pretty damn good
His bass sounds like a tuba in a marching band.
In my opinion of one of the greatest rock, singer voice
Indeed. I saw the first major tour of Bad Company, then got to see him so many years later with Jimmy Page. One of the greatest singers of our time for sure.
Mr. Big, Wishing Well, Fire & Water, Catch A Train, The Stealer, I'll Be Creepin', so many great tunes
The best blues rock singers alive today Paul Rodgers. Paul is singing and performing today and still sounds great.
His voice is better now after 50 something years. Incredible singer! Check out more current live music, you will be amazed
I will. Just wondering myself
Paul Rodgers the singer was 20 when this was recorded and was 21 when it was released.
A rich whisky soaked voice way ahead of his youth and still a potent voice even now at the age of 74 , the man took care of his voice
Paul Rodgers is most definitely a GOAT status vocalist!!!!

Great story. Cracked up laughing at someone calling a pub The Bishop’s Finger
Great memory!🤘
The audience was given very clear instructions. There was a strict dress code, and there was no "flailing or screaming" permitted.
So very true...
How things have changed.
Not a rap fan either but love Black Pegasus
I've always stated acdc is as rock as you can go before crossing into another genre
AC/DC is a great band. Sadly Bon and Malcolm gone. Maybe they were influenced by Free as this vid is a few years before they started getting airplay. The Voice, Paul Rodgers is the GOAT. Untouchable. PAUL ROGERS IS A LEGEND . BEAUTIFUL SINGING VOICE IN THE WORLD OF ROCK.
Paul Rogers and Paul Kossoff. An amazing one-two punch of rock power.
This is the song that introduced me to FREE. I was 8 years old.
Damn you older than me 😅I'm 68
Yes!! I was 7. I had an album, a radio promotional Wolfman Jack compilation. This was on that album, along with a plethora of bangers. Played the bleep out of that thing. 😎🤘

Paul had not even a dream, he would become one of the greatest lead singers of all time
The Lead singer and Drummer after Free went on to start the band Bad Company!
Dazed and Confused!!! 1 of the Greatest sound tracks!
The song Bad Company, by Bad Company is great!
"Bad Company" by Bad Company from the album _Bad Company_
The lead singer Paul Rodgers, is one of iconic voices in rock. He later formed the group Bad Company.
This song got tremendous AirPlay back in the day! It was a major rock anthem!
Everyone's heard a piece of this! One of my favorites!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
THE DRUMMER!!!
Drummers never get enough attention or credit.
Drums are the heartbeat of this music. And you know nothing survives with out the beat of the heart.
That is Paul Rodgers singing... He is a Rabbit Hole by himself! Free/Bad Company/ Queen / Solo He is a Prime player in Rock History!!
I love this song!! Always have

I’m 39 born and raised WV. Back in high school we used to backroad to this song.
paul rodgers is considered one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time by other musicians.he sang with bad company which in my opinion they dont get enough credit for how good they were.one of my top 5 bands of all time...
Great song. I forgot about it for a while. Thanks BP!

This is so awesome. Their performance was excellent. Love your reaction!
WOW i remember being 8 years old and dancing around the living room with my mom ...great times great jams....
Paul Rodgers is my ABSOLUTE favorite vocalist EVERRRRRRRRRRRR! Everything he does is incredible! 💜💜💜
You'd love "Sweet". They were the beginning of Glam Rock. But they were so much more!
This performance looks very much like what I used to experience in our 70's high school... about once a year, a band would come and play in the gym for the whole school during an assembly. This was on a tape of songs I recorded off the radio when I was a teen. My Dad dug it out of my closet and mailed it to me when I was in Saudi Arabia in 1990/91.
We didn't have 'play lists' in the day. But this was blasting from everybody's turntable or tape deck.
I love this song! Love Paul Rodgers! He sounds even better live! I saw him live when was doing lead vocals for Queen when they toured the U.S.A about 15 or more years ago.
British Blues at its finest!
Joy...we see it. This is what music used to be for the musicians and the audience. So many special moments are out there to be discovered. Keep going! :)

Back in the low tech days often 2 mics were taped together. One for the audience through the PA, and one for recording.
Enduring and awesome! Makes you smile!😃
Bad company ....awesome !!!!!.great great music
The Paul Rodgers experience--FREE or BAD COMPANY, both great.
Gosh, I remember this song so well, it was on Top of the Pops in the UK often and we all loved it. Yes, there was certainly some really great music in the 1970s, we were so lucky being around and experiencing it all first hand, great memories!😊👍

That Wrigley's chewing gum advert from when we were young!! Legendary band!!
"Great to chew, even better to share"
I'll always associate this song with that add. So nostalgic.
I'll have to say I have never seen this live. I don't know why but this is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing

LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER THIS PERFOMANCE THEY MADE 2 LINEUP CHANGES AND CHANGED THE BAND NAME TO. BAD COMPANY. AND THE REST WAS HISTORY... THE 1ST BAND SIGNED TO LED ZEPPELIN'S SWAN SONG LABEL... That’s not true. You’re leaving out the Free at Last/Heartbreaker albums made after Andy left and with Tetsu on bass. They are excellent albums.
What are you on about, total rubbish, two different bands,in my opinion not in the same league,Free were a real raw rock band,Paul Rogers and the drummer formed Bad Company.

I was 14 years old when this record came out. I immediately loved it. A great number.

Many people don't know that is Paul Rogers singing.
_Who_don't_know_ it's Paul Rodgers?!!?😮😮😮😮😮
Only people without ears.
Awesome song!🎉
70s. This song is such a great vibe!
Paul Rodgers is a great singer and one of my favorites❤
Can’t wait for your Bad Company reactions to come. Paul Rogers….LEGEND. “Feel like Makin’ Love” a must! Thanks BP
Paul Rogers is so BEAUTIFUL! I have been in love with him since I was 14 yrs. old:)
Paul Rodgers said this song was written on a tour bus in 15 mins
We were used to a brilliant level of musicianship back then. Makes me sad for the younger generation who only have pop ditties to listen to.
The singer is Paul Rodgers and some of the other members became Bad Company. Paul is an amazing singer!!
We did have good music back then, thanks for making me feel young again
Two mics one for the venue audio system and one for the recording equipment. Awesome reaction vid as always hope you'r well and having fun.
Pure Class!!
Great song and it's as old as me. Truly stands the test of time.
Paul Kossoff one of the most underrated guitarists and Paul Rodgers the best vocalist in Rock.
Free where formed in 1968 and had a number of hits. Paul Rodgers the Singer has one of the greatest Rock Voices, he and the Drummer went onto form Bad Company!
