This show really was just about the three of them having a laugh. No one really cared about the cars, it was just their personalities that made the show worth watching. This proven by how shit the modern Top Gear.
Bet the BBC kick themselves every day for loosing these three.
I first watched as a kid for the cars, the humour (among other things) has kept me loyal to the show to this day

It's all because of Jeremy. He's the one who made TG so outstanding, so enjoyable show with his precious talents. But unfortunately, he used some of his "not so admirable" talents too and put the BBC in trouble several times. And eventually they had to make a decision - one of the toughest I guess. At the end TG - what most people loved is permanently lost. It can never be the same without the trio and TGT - their new show can neither be it because of copyright issues.
