Thank you! I discovered your channel last year. I'm 57, 5"4 and 175lbs so I felt old, short & dumpy and I dressed the part! After watching lots of your videos I made a few changes to my wardrobe and more importantly the way I wore my clothes and accessories. I felt much more confident and people began to compliment me and ask where I got this it that. Several weeks ago a person in my office actually told me she liked my "style" and the way I dress. Omg I still can't believe it. Thanks again❤
Since I discovered your channel just a few short months ago I have learned so much more from your channel than the last 5 years watching other fashion vloggers! You truly are an amazing teacher and influencer! ❤️ Thank you!
The time and effort you spend curating all these videos is just incredible especially when it is all free information to us viewers. You and the lovely models always make it fun and informative. Thank you so much for bringing such invaluable knowledge and expertise to so many of us watching at home 🤍
You are head and shoulders above those 30-something’s who promote style and capsule wardrobes in ill-fitting clothes disguised as aff-links. Your videos are so informative and inspiring for every BODY! Thank you, I look forward to part 2. 🙌🏻
Melissa you are amazing!!!! Thank you from a 48 year old woman who finally feels confident styling an outfit and knowing what to look for when I shop for clothes. Your personality, sense of humour are the best!!!!
When I was 11 years old one of my classmates made fun of me for choosing a particular style of skirt that she deemed outdated. I overheard her and 49 years later I am just starting to enjoy buying clothes. This is purely because of the confidence Melissa has given me. I don’t think I will ever feel fully confident but I’m most definitely improving. Thank you so much Melissa. I wish I had the means to repay you.
Oh wow. I really wish people would understand that their words can hurt and often, particularly in your case, hurt for many many years. Really pleased that we’re helping you in some small way regain back your confidence x
Nikki looks extra amazing in that bomber jacket outfit. It does everything it needs to do, everywhere it needs to do it. Fantastic!! Thank you for this video. Really helps to see multiple figures and “fixes” at the same time. Just wonderful. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your free videos. I have just thrown out loads of old clothes and am going to embrace the new! I need a glow up and to find my confidence again. Many thanks to you ❤
I love your videos. I am 5 ft. 2 and have struggled my whole life to find clothes for my body type. You explain everything so well and you do not over complicate things.
Oh Melissa, I’ve really liked all your previous videos but this one was fabulous. You have given such wonderful guidance along with your models that I feel rejuvenated. 😊
I never realized what a change a necklace makes. Thank you for showing it. You are my style guru. You make me feel comfortable in my body after years of being extremely uncomfortable.
Thank you so much for specifying what sizes you have chosen. It really helps to understand how to select things, I also love that it completely debunks the myth that we should stick to one specific size. So grateful for all your efforts. Thank you!!!! Please never stop making videos!
Thank you! I'm afraid we are slowing down on youtube in the New year. Unfortunately not enough people have pressed the subscribe button and they're costing us too much to make each week but we will still be on instagram most days.
Thank you so much for these videos. I spent part of Sunday overhauling my wardrobe and shoes. So many things that looked sad, shoes that no longer fit...Kept thinking of your channel.
Thank you so much for this video and all of your content. really helpful to have shopping guidance, when you don't have a clue where to start, the video's are enjoyable to watch too, thanks!
So much good advice! Loved learning about the different jewelry to keep in mind to help split a large bust area. Also loved the idea that it doesn’t matter what size the clothes are, we should really be focused on how it drapes!! What a simple concept but it’s crazy how it never occurred to me. I just always assumed I had to be the smallest size I could fit to be a proper “fit”!! Mind blowing.
Well you've just made my day. I'm actually wearing the soft brown hoodie from M&S. Purchased for a holiday, instead of a coat as it was long transit times and I wanted to be snug. The first thing I've done on settling back home is look for a new video from you, and there's two. You are such an inspiration.
Thankyou for videos they are excellent but I wish you could do more about size 22-24 large tummy and bust. I feel its a real challenge for us to dress nicely and especially after 60. I really love all the clothes you show I just wish us bigger ladies could find alternatives xx
Yes Ive watched many of your video. But I haven’t seen anything that addresses size 22 or people with an apron belly following surgery. I can’t wear half the clothes I have since surgery changed my shape and I think a lot of other older women have these problems too.
Antonia, Nicky and Melissa look far better in all these clothes than the models used in the retailers' photographs. I would never have picked them from the online stores but, having seen them on real women, I'm tempted to track many of them down. Many thanks!!
You are the best, truly! Using models of all body shapes and sizes and the upbeat affirming attitude of you and your team are uplifting. I’ve bought MV with your code, not only because they have nice pieces but intentionally to support your channel. Thank you for your hard work to produce your informative and entertaining videos. I love the Gold Vermeil Nura Choker Necklace adjustable 38-44cm/15.5-17.5in BUT I had to add an extender (from Amazon) because I need to lengthen my short neck. Sometimes I layer a simple pendant necklace too.
Appreciate the thought and effort put into discussing pieces and details for different shapes. I would also add a caveat related to color analysis. For example, where models don't look best in pure white, black, etc, assuming they'd want to select pieces in colors that flatter them as well.
Love love your channel! I too have learned so much and appreciate your very thorough videos! And as a 5' woman, your 5-1" model looks taller with your wardrobe choices. Yay!
Finally good bra advice! I hate bra & jeans shopping, you have saved me at least a hour in the fitting room, never mind the clueless wandering up & down the street in the rain! Thanks so much ❤
@@mmpersonalstylingOf course I did 😃. Melissa I have very broad shoulders but am very flat chested (I wear a padded bra) so would a drop shoulder or a on the shoulder seam work best for me? Thank you. Really hope to see the tall lady sometime 🤞 xx
Such an informative video. I learned so much and really appreciate your emphasis on basics and that you do all the work for us in finding the good ones and all we need to do is click to the link! If ever I visit the UK, I'm coming in for a personal consultation!
We’d love to see you but invade you don’t know we do consultations on a daily basis for people all over the world! Details can be found at www.mmpersonalstyling.co.uk
I have a rectangular body type and find that buying the right size of levis ribcage and then leaving the top button undone works - I carry a bit of weight around my middle but I'm not an apple. Then you can cover the gap with a belt that works for me and more comfortable instead of buying a size up and having the jeans not fit around my hips etc.
The Ribbed Elbow-Sleeve T-Shirt from Banana Republic is awesome! IMHO the fitted arms make it more attractive than the standard white T's shapeless short-sleeves.
We had a 6ft 1 lady who was meant to be part of this video but the train from London to my village was cancelled and the next one would have got her in too late on the day, so that's why I had to jump in at the last minute!
@@mmpersonalstyling yes you did say - you dealt with it very well. What I was meaning was that it’s so refreshing to see all shapes and sizes compared so you understand how different styles create the desired effects. Really enjoyed ❤️ p.s. I bet your son is having an absolute ball but I do remember blubbering all the way home too after dropping ours off…. Xxx
Loved this, fantastic advice. I can't find the mocha coloured silk front vest that Antonia was wearing with the blazer, had other colours but not that one, which is gorgeous. I'll have another look 😊

The ribcage jeans are fabulous on me and get lots of compliments. I think it's because (at least the ones I have) they don't have too much space in the backside where I am flat-bottomed as we apples usually are. I find very high-waisted jeans in particular to have been a total game changer as no one had ever told me it would make the butt actually fit but it usually does. The Levi ribcage ones in particular but most of them in general. I am almost 5'4" but have short legs with a long torso and a high natural waist so maybe that has something to do with it? I consistently must wear petite bottoms. Thanks for any insight you may have.
