- This apothecary bench is going to be the bottom half of a large tool rack I'm building for the workshop. It's built out of pallet wood, oak worktop offcuts and oak flooring.
You can see the top part of this build with all the tools here. • I Built My Dream Tool ...

The Steven King of wood craft. Cause he’s killing it.
Lol, I’ve often thought he resembles a better version of King. 😂
@@Ginger51 hopefully non-libtaad version.
😂👍🇺🇦
You mean Stephen King, right?
Glad I'm not the only one😂
These days, there's no other woodworking channel that excites me like yours. I get so excited when the notification pops up that I find a quiet place to watch. Your work is fantastic and relaxing... and as always, your patience for the details is inspiring. Thank you for everything you do!!!
Thanks very much :)
Me too
And me....
Truly inspiring
I’m right there with you.
I just don’t understand how this channel exists. The tools and materials are modest, the projects are big, high quality, complex and diverse and yet somehow there’s no sponsors,ad reads, plan sales, patreon solicitations.
I might actually try the super thanks button I’m just so grateful for all the superb content.
Anyone else watch his videos all the way through the first time but comes back to them when they can't sleep because the sound of him building these master pieces without a bunch of music is just so relaxing?? No? Just me? That's cool, too, haha.
A mí también me pasa. Me relaja verlo. Me gusta el bricolaje y sueño con ser capaz de hacer algo así...😢
That's not a workbench. It is a work of art!
many things to love about this channel but two things stick out right now
1. the fact that much of the work is done using simple hand tools and skills, as opposed to having 100 grands worth of ridiculous pro level machinery, and
2. the fact he doesn't feel the incessant need to talk at all, saving us having to listen to mindless, unnecessary over-explanation and repetition, as though talking to brain dead zombies.
Hail to the Wizard of the Workshop!!! Another triumph Maestro!!!!!! You certainly have an eye for turning "trash" to treasure!!! So cleverly done Sir!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Ken :)
Your workshop is a testament to your being the Zen Master of Cabinetry. I cannot remember ever seeing anyone make decorative molding by hand planing. Looks like you’re proud of this achievement, as you should be. We are in awe.
Oh, what a surprise, I was just thinking I could really use a calm video like this to relax on a Sunday afternoon and here comes my hero!
Same here 😊
Same here!
It’s too hot outside for work. I’ve watch almost all of his vids. It popped up on my TH-cam and I came inside and watched with my son on the big tv. He loved it!
@@ninetytwo6397 I love watching the videos with my son (very occasionally, but mostly when he simply refuses to sleep) and he's always super interested whenever we do :)
I can't believe he built that in 40 minutes. He works fast. I'm still trying to put together my IKEA book shelf.
Those 40 minutes are edited from many long hours of hard work and awesome detail.

Good morning to all from SE Louisiana 28 July 23.
The amount of patience is astonishing.
My grandpa was a carpenter. Every time I watch one of your videos I wish he was still alive so he could watch them with me. He would have loved them as much as I do. Just amazing! ❤️😊
No, please, no "thanks for watching", but thank you for your job and skill!
The absolute all time, grand Poobah of brad nailing.
Wow I never clicked so fast👍🏻
40 mins later, super, nice that you used a new colour, everything fitted well together, loved the wave at the end👋🏻👋🏻
Im so glad channels like yours exist. So many start doing tool reviews and forget we're here for builds. And you never disappoint. Beautiful as always especially with all the intricate touches you put in
Thanks very much :)
Stunning! Real old-fashioned carpentry.
Thanks :)
This is Masterclass Furniture Building.....perfect. Regards from Germany. Tom
Thanks Tom :)
Jason you should be ashamed of yourself, causing a national pallet shortage😜. Thanks again for another great project and video edit. Always look forward to seeing your creations, or should I say CRATESIONS!😊
Thanks Fred :)
Ну что за человек!!! Делает один за другим шедевры.... Хорошо бы ещё лет сто делал!!!
Амен!
Your work has me mesmerised. I used to enjoy watching my late father make items out of wood when he retired. He would be in his element in your workshop. He used to make side tables, then doll four poster beds and my Mam used to make the bedding and they’d gift them to charities. Then when my children got into. School age he made them there own beds with the names engraved into the headboard.
You truly are an amazing talented man.
Crazy mad skills, not to mention the tenacity . Sweet.
Beautiful! It really does look more like a piece of furniture than a work bench. Since you're going to be moving things around to make a place for that beauty, you should make us a quick shop tour video.
I still love watching the board prep phase. Amazing what can be born from pallets. Kudos!
I feel the art of God Himself from your working. Super, super job done. Wow! Awesome!
Thank you for reminding me that though I may have power tools which are faster and more efficient, hand work is such better therapy.
Never has so much reclaimed wood been used to make something so awesome. Brilliant work!
Thanks very much, Jeff :)
This isn't just a hobby to you Jason, it's a passion and a masterclass in carpentry and joinery.
Another exquisite piece so wonderfully made by professional hands 👌🏅👍🏽
Thanks Ian :)
I’m getting tennis elbow just watching this. Impressive!
I've followed many woodwork channels over the years, however most that have started humbly , with modest tools and shop/shed garage etc. have evolved beyond mere normies like myself, who is at best a DIYer ,dabbler weekend warrior. with projects and tools way beyond the "armature" . I am not saying that is wrong, but I am sad that sometimes that I can no longer keep up and relate. In this sense < I appreciate this channel, the extreme patience, and cavity is one thing, but despite having a ton of machines he chooses to use hand tools where possible. Thank you Jason, it feels that there is still for the likes of me....
You are always worth watching ....
The definition of a true craftsman. You’re who so many (should) aspire to emulate. Love your work, as always!
I couldn't make that, even if it came in kit form, with instructions and pics. Pure genius.!
My father had a wood shop years ago. I never got the chance to learn his craft. These videos sure take me back in time!
It's one thing to say that you are saving the environment by repurposing pallets and scraps, which is in itself amazing. However, your expert craftsmanship, calm demeanor, and old school approach to your craft is what brings me back every time. Thank you immensely, you sir, are an inspiration to many of us.
Thanks very much, Terry :)
I thought it was going to be a ladder before the end pieces went on , love your work , cheers Jason 🍻
Thanks Dunc, glad you enjoyed it :)
Anyone else notice the never-ending bottle of glue? ❤😂 I’ve seen it in every video of his I’ve watched.
Just when you thought he had run out of wall space... 👏
I will watch this many times and still shake my head in appreciation of the patience and skill that goes into such a build - being able to be so precise at scale like you are is very impressive. Heck I'm building a small table with two drawers and can't even get them square - to say nothing of a cabinet like that with hundreds of parts. Impressive. Just impressive. Thank you for sharing your work with us - it's something for us to strive toward.
Thanks very much, Bob :)
hi Jason. Watching the video, I was struck by the moment when you make the shapes of the frames ( minute 21.44 of the video ). I had never seen that tool in my life, nowadays everyone uses routers or trimmers. Your work always amazes me. 💯💯💯
Thanks Luigi. That was an old moulding plane. I've got loads of them. They are a lot of fun to use, and a lot quieter than a router.
Respect to you! One bloody stray nail in your thicknesser planner
A pint of homemade beer a bag of dry roast and your video and I'm happy. Great build yet again, I just wish I could make something like that.
Very much looking forward to your next video.
Великолепная работа.Замечательно выбран контраст,между натуральным деревом и состаренным серым.Очень хорошо смотрится.
I never tire of the simplicity of your creations. Nor do tire of the simple methods that you use. While it would be a treat to hear you talk about the projects as you build them, there is calmness in hearing nothing but the tools against the wood. Thank you.
In the dictionary, Beside the word 'Patience', is a link the this channel. As always, a masterpiece and an absolute pleasure to watch.
😯 It is the first time in my life that I see someone make a molding by hand.
It would be great if you make a video explaining how to do it.
Thanks for uploading such great videos, I love them.
As someone else commented, I am struck by your focus and patience. I think I would make the 20th identical cut (out of 50) and think “bored now”. Definitely not a woodworker. 🙄🤣 However, I love watching your creativity and precision - as well as seeing the magical transformation of trash wood into something wonderful. This is a beautiful piece - you are going to end up with a workshop that is more attractive than most homes. 🥰
Totally inspirational Jason, i now have to binge watch all your other videos 😁 Pure artistry, and no lame music to spoil your genius!!!!!!
Thanks very much, John :)
The specialty of your work is the use of old tools and methods. Fantastic and congratulations.
Thanks very much :)
I would love to snoop around your shop and open up all of those drawers and see what you have lol
you put more skill and effort into making a single drawer than many would put into the entire cabinet - it looks fantastic.
Thanks very much :)
Just plain, flat-out amazing. The degree of planning, fortitude, perseverance, and imagination is truly inspiring. Thank you, Sir.
Damn. I mean, just, Damn! And they say you can't make a silk purse form a sow's ear.
I need this on a Sunday afternoon.
Amen brother
A big hello from France. A beautiful project for this piece of furniture. Always a pleasure to see your technique perfectly mastered with meticulous craftsmanship. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to your next video. Pierre
Thanks very much, Pierre :)
Such wonderful craftsmanshilp!!!
Kolbi you need a award
You have a talent for that. That isn’t work it’s an art. Your skills and patience were a joy to watch. Thanks.
Thanks :)
So, so beautiful. I have always loved apothecary cabinets but they’re way out of my reach.
The imagination and patience this man has is amazing. 👏👏
Thank you for your videos, they inspire me to go through my small pile of scrap wood and build something. From start to finish you do great work!
it gets better and better, everytime and a joy to watch !
Most excellent
This is hands down my favorite TH-cam channel. When I saw the thumbnail come up I got so excited. No other channel has that affect. And this project… like so many others of yours…. Did not let me down. You are truly one heck of a craftsman. I love watching your builds. And it’s always impressive what materials you use to make these completely impressive projects. There are really no words to express how impressed I am with your work. I look forward to your next project. Thank you so much for sharing your work and taking us along for the ride.
Thanks very much, Angie :)
i knever knew stephen king have a woodworking youtube channel
Recycled art at its finest!!!
Awesome job!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely amazing! You make it look so easy, but I know there’s years of experience behind what you do.
Every time I think you can't amaze me anymore, yet you do, with every project you startle me again. I am eagerly waiting every new video that comes out, and you never let me down. If said it before and I say it again: you are the most cunning and inspiring woodcrafter I have seen on TH-cam.
Thanks very much, Willem :)
Each and every time I enjoy your videos, I have a strong feeling that you are a very intelligent man with a sophisticated design mindset. Thank for sharing your work.
معداتك وأساليبك عالية الجودة ، تحياتي من إندونيسيا ، 🖐️👍👍👍🙏 ♥ ️
Another amazing piece of furniture. Your channel is one of my favourites Jason. Like many others, I get excited when I get a notification from you. I sometimes have to wait a day or two to watch because I don’t want to be interrupted by anything while I watch. By the way, I love the way you keep the continuity of your videos by wearing the same thing. Makes it feel as if what takes about 3 weeks to be done in a day or even an evening. Lol. Keep up the wonderful work.
Thanks very much, Jacque :)
Another beautiful creation Jason. You never cease to amaze me with each new piece. You're very talented.
Thanks very much, Martin :)
Gorgeous! And just as I was about to get into bed you post it, lol. Thank you!😊
I immediately thought of Spirited Away when I saw this.
Absolutely Epic as usual! Love the finish on it too. Nice layering of color! Now I’m just wondering where it’s permanent home will be in the shop. 😊
I'm going to have to rearrange the shop a bit :)
É sempre um prazer esperar e assistir seus vídeos. Continue nos presenteando com estas obras de arte.
hail to the upcycling god.... this piece once again is beautiful and made of scrap you rock thx for sharing
Your videos are always (always) an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Norm would have used a biscuit cutter for those drawers.... biscuits for the win!
I made a pie chart of my favorite bars and a bar chart of my favorite pies.
Your patience and precision are awe-inspiring, as well as your reliance on handtools. Did you track how many hours you worked on this project?
Thanks. I didn't keep track but I would guess at around 100 hours :)
really love the things you make. how long does it take you to make something like this? keep up the good work!😊
Thanks Rick. This took me about 3 weeks to make :)
You sure like making drawers. That would drive me bonkers.
My word that’s quite the wood storage!
again a masterpiece of a grandmaster
The dedication to your craft seems to be unmatched on youtube. Thanks for giving me quality videos to watch!
Thanks very much, Adam :)
I have no words!!!! It is inspirational!!
a lot of wood, a lot of work, a lot of precision 👍
Another awesome creation from a MASTER JIGSAW PUZZLE CRAFTSMAN 😁 Well done Sir👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦
Thanks very much :)
Это просто космос! Большая, кропотливая работа! Не думал что сейчас на такое кто-то способен кроме китайцев. 😊
Holy cow! Jason actually used an electric drill? I never thought I'd see the day 😂
36 Handles x 10mins = 6 Hours just on them!
I suppose I'm the same making guitars though :o)
ho aspettato tutto il pomeriggio, per potermi sedere indisturbata a godermi il "solito" capolavoro. Yeah!
So fun to watch a master at work!!
New video! Time to crack a beer and settle in for this goodness 🍻
Another great project! I always cringe when people reach near a table saw that's running
I’m sorry… but did I just witness someone cut molding by hand! That’s incredible! Time to subscribe!
I can't remember exactly where it is but there is an Amish shop in Penn that will hand make custom molding for you in at least 100 different styles. They have well over 100 Old hand made molding hand planes on the walls. It is a history lesson in itself just going and looking at all the planes.
But on TH-cam this about the only place I have seen it done and done right.
