Like you, I am quite smitten with Scalped. As soon as I turned the pages, I was in it for the long haul, they got me hook, line & sinker:) Great panellogy talking about this WICKED series:)))
yeah, I had to pump this episode out in the open, immediately after finishing the last book. Now I regret a bit my random choice of the pages I shown... because there were some outstanding ones, especially when Guera draws this catcher-character, there are some portrayals of that guy who blew me away.
Great video! Scalped is such a brilliant series. I can't say enough good things about it. I can only hope that more people pick it up. It's a great starting point for people who are new to comics and love crime tv shows like Breaking Bad. Scalped has a very televised feel in the way the story is presented. Like it'd be perfect for a tv adaptation.
I read over the weekend the first three out of six trade paperbacks. It's excellent. I've ordered the remainder in singles. I didn't realize Aaron's storytelling ability extended into the historical. Without revealing for your viewers, but to give you an idea where I am in the story, Dashiell has found his arrowheads which he gifted in a car...a wonderfully painful story line.
Good morning and Happy New Year. I just finished reading Scalped. The characters linger. A lot to process, much like the people in the television show Breaking Bad. Sad, pathetic, and realistic storytelling. I wonder how much of Guera's upbringing in the former Yugoslavia, whose grim history, sandwiched between East and West, shaped his creativity.
happy new year to you too... the breaking bad comparison is not too far fetched, yes. Actually I have a frigging lumbago and write this in a quite uncomfortable position. Next year I will do Sports, I promise, to prevent this kinda thing. But what I actually wanted to say: You have to watch my newest panellogy, esp. the number one of the horror books of 2016 (thank you!!!!). I try to upload it right now, despite of all the lumbagos in the world
Good morning, and I'm glad you are back.I'd sent you a private message over the break. Hopefully everything is okay. Did you know Damian, sleepyreader, was in London? I saw La Rhasa's video and she met up with him and his family. I look forward to your best of 2016, will watch it this morning.
I agree completely! I was the same. After I finished the series, I immediately read the whole thing again from the beginning because I couldn't get over how epic the whole journey was. So many epic moments and character backstories in this series that will stay with me for a very long time. The artist does such a good job at portraying what it's like to live in a Native American reserve. The story and artstyle go hand-in-hand, perfect fitting. And Shunka... one of my favourite characters.
I recommend getting the deluxe hardcovers, it's the easiest way to read the series and get a hold of all the chapters. Plus, the hardcovers themselves are gorgeous!
Hast du vor mal Videos über Carl Barks, Charles Burns oder Will Eisner zu machen? Übrigens, deine Druillet Videos sind grossartig! Und noch ne Frage: Hast du mal Valerian und Veronique gelesen?
hooray for modern communication tech making such successfull long term cooperations between an American writer and an European artist possible. Aaron and Guera haven't met in person until they met in New York to create the last issue together in one room.
Sounds quite sad actually...Well I noticed that Internet has certainly enabled such work conditions but I feel like face to face interactions are still what I would seek, I mean just imagine hanging out, drinking a bear with a colleague and working on an awesome comic ?

Great panellogy once again and perfect for me since I ordered Vol.1-5 some days ago :P Can't wait to read the run!

Newish to comics, recently found your channel, binge watched 90% of your videos...and now my amazon wish list is 6 pages longer. ;D

Awesome Looking Artwork and Cover Work...Awesome Video.
I haven't been able to find Scalped in singles at a reasonable price. I may have to settle for the trades. The hardcovers you have are nice, though.

I wait on the Omnibus ...

it's a two-sided sword, yes, and I guess, I could have written "hooray" in quotes, it would be more accurate
Jason has been many times in barcelona, as far as I know.
