Hey everyone! My favorite part of messing with this scammer was when I revealed that I actually work for Microsoft and was just having fun with them on a virtual machine. What was your favorite part of the video? Leave a comment below and let me know! And if you want to interact with me more in real-time, come find me on other platforms at linktr.ee/barnacules. Can't wait to hear from you!
@@rickc0011 From what I understand they do actually do legit work (as a cover), then behind they scam people. Though am unsure of their legit legal work though of course....
I had someone call me once saying that my Windows machine had a virus. I told them I had a Mac, and they just hung up. I was so disappointed that I didn't get to chat with him.
should of done what i did, i was playing with unix and had them connect to that instead of my windows machine..that would of been epic if they connected to the mac...
Jagcycle they called my friend last night while we were setting up his new 4ktv and I heard him say something about his computer and I was like no way! So I told him to fuck with them because it was a scammer, he did for a bit then said he had a Mac also and they just hung up too haha
this helped me today at work. I work at a bank in Jamaica and a customer called me today asking for help because his transaction was not going through on his credit card. He and the "merchant" were on the phone and they were trying to explain to me the many different names and countries that the transaction may come from and to allow them. the "merchant" sounded like the guy in this video to me so I told them id fix it and they can try again in 30 min, but didn't actually "fix" anything. I hung up and called back the customer to ask if he is sure that he trusts this "merchant" and he decided not to do it. The fact that I watched your video a few months ago helped me to help someone else.
One scammer called me and could hear an old lady answer before I did. I kept quiet for a few minutes then asked if they could both hear me. When they said yes I told her he was trying to scam her then shouted at him that he should be ashamed and to leave her alone. I was so angry but glad I could intervine.
I would like to announce to you all that TeqFly.com is officially offline. I just checked the website today and the account is suspended. A month ago we got their payment system to suspend them and now their ISP has suspended the website permanently. I can't get verification on if they are being prosecuted but at least we got their money taken away and their scam destroyed. I plan to do a follow-up video since we did such a good job on this and saved a lot of people from being scammed!
I haven't laughed that hard while simultaneously having virtually no clue what was being said in a very long time! Also last year I had one of these calls, but I didn't answer, my EX-Girlfriend's Mom answered and was freaked out, but it was amusing to me
yeah i can't believe How much effort they put into this like you're this far from having a actual real job. minimum wage is probably very low at where the scammer is from.
New scammer has been identified at 1-888-473-7734, they are using a browser popup to convince the user their computer will get corrupted if they don't call Microsoft at that number and get support immediately. Everything is misspelled in the dialog so it's obvious we're dealing with some uneducated idiots again. Please call them and make your own videos and upload them, it's the only thing that stops these guys. Please like this comment so it moves to the top so everyone can have fun with these idiots.
There are a number of those pop up browser ones. I got one myself, and being technically unsavvy called the number. They had me pretty convinced until they got to sell point, trying to charge me $AUD400 odd for their software. They really went into the sales pitch - like your mate Charlie :) - that was when I clicked. I shut down the support window and deleted the software they had me install (because it was my actual computer not a VM). I then ran Malware Bytes and a number of other spyware programs to fix my hijacked browser. But yeah, I love this video. So many people would get scammed and either buy the product and or reveal their credit card details to these people. Thanks for making this. Will share. :)
Honestly it helps me when people share my videos but I want this one shared not just because it helps me but because it has the potential to educate people on the scams before they walk into them. Please post this on your Facebooks and Pinterests where family members that might no know better get their news. Every single person these people call that doesn't fall for this saves $200 and sends these guys one step closer to having to find a different scam.
Just shared this video to all my gaming buddies, facebook friends, and going to post on my twitter. thank you for making this video. i have personally gotten calls like this and my parents have told them that they are not the computer tech in the house call back in ___ time and the computer tech should be in. they had me go through command prompt to get some serial number that was on all microsoft licenses and made me believe something was really wrong. (kinda scared me that he had the product key until i found out it was generic) so i went along with it like oh no this crap is really happening my computer is sending out this malicious software and i need to fix it. 3 hours on the phone trying to get this guy to help me i mentioned "what if i do a clean install" and well my computer doesnt have any mysterious files visible or hidden anywhere how can you be sure. he took an extended pause and told me that there was nothing i could do buy buy some $300 "malicious be gone" program. i DID NOT buy this program as i was under age at the time and did not have a credit card. i feel like this is a great educational video for the non computer nerds and a must watch video for everyone. they say dont believe everything you read on the internet BUT sometimes you just cant believe what you hear on the telephone either :) thanks Jerry
I usually do this: tell them i'm turning on my pc, it's says "windows update 3%". put phone aside then go back to work. Occasionally tell them "windows update now 27%" - "windows update now 63%" Let them wait for bout half an hour, then when it "reaches" 95%, i go back "windows update now 89%" untill they realize i'm fucking with them. Get's them really, really pissed off. One guy kept calling me for 15 minutes after, calling me names till he gave up. Had good lulz.
My mum has had similar scam calls before and she's told them before that yes, the computer had a virus but it died and we buried it in the garden. When I heard her say that for the first time I couldn't stop laughing.
This is the art of Scam Baiting. It's where you make a scammer think you're dumb and falling for it so they keep giving you more and more information. If I had made them nervous through the first 10 - 15 minutes of being obnoxious and testing me I never would have been taken to their TeqFly.com site or knew how they took control of the computer so I could report all that information to the other parties involved. Any time you suspect a scam don't end it, hang on as long as you can if you have the time and collect as much information as possible. The reason the guy didn't tell me he was from TeqFly.com immediately but instead said he was from Microsoft is because if I didn't follow along and he didn't feel I was really falling for it there would have been no trail back to him. So everyone, remember this because the more times this happens to the scammers the more they have to re-create their webpages, change their tactics, etc and that costs them money and time.
I'm Indian and I don't like what this guy and what he's doing, Barn let me know if you want to take legal action against these scum, it's really sad to see people like this exist.
Let me get this straight, because I'm kind of lost here. The scammers are working for, and I quote you, "an American cheater boss", and they are working out of India,( nobody said these were from India), but I'll go with it, and hires them "out of India" to create these scams. If there was an American behind this, don't you think they'll use native English speaking people? Your argument really doesn't make sense.
+Jaikanth Jay actually he is hired by an indian boss not anyone else, so get your facts right , i myself have seen and had friends who work in these scams, this is immoral and illegal in india too , there are hundreds of shady companies like these working and operating in the capital city New Delhi and NCR like Gurgaon these guys should be ashamed of themselves .
I'm completely sure that that isn't the case, I mean, who'd be stupid enough to hire people who can't even talk in english properly to scam native english speakers??
Sitting on my virtual machine is a folder called "My Bank" and in it is a nifty program written by a friend that installs when they open any of the 'banking' documents in that folder. It does a very good job of removing files on the computer its installed on. I have entertained about 10 of these guys over the past months and to a scammer they have gone into loops to distract me while the nab a copy of that folder. I did not know if it was actually getting to these guys until I got a call back asking what I had done to their computer!
Would you mind sharing this program with me, please? I've been writing some scripts of my own to start blasting these scammers with my bank of VM's.....the more ways to pound them the merrier! :-)
One of these jackasses called my parents, said he was from "microsoft" and that their "windows pc" was sending his computer error messages and if the computer didn't stop, they could be sued. Needless to say, this freaked my parents out, so they agreed, to let him "fix" the problem. Little did the tech scammer know that they were behind a Linux router, shorewall and web cache that I set up myself, so when he tried to get in, it was a no-go. Of course it was also problematic because they don't have a "windows pc" in their house, every computer runs either Linux or Mac OS X. 45 Minutes later they called me and told me what was going on and that the guy couldn't get onto their computer to "fix" it and I informed them that it was a scam and that they don't even own a "windows pc", so they had nothing to worry about. The scammers called them 9 times over the next couple of days, trying the same schtick, until my parents finally just stopped answering the phone from numbers they didn't recognize. These scammers are a menace to society, but the scam-baiting videos here on youtube are insanely amusing. I've watched thousands of them over the past month or two and I just can't get enough of them. The scammers get *SO MAD* when someone screws with them and that makes me *very, very happy*. I heard that the Indian police, in conjunction with the FBI, busted a call center of over 700 people a few weeks ago and 70 people went to the pokey...this also made me *very, very happy*. I'd love to see every one of these scammers in prison, with a very large roommate named Guarav, who paints tits on their back. ;)
Most of the information can be found on the Arch Linux wiki. They have information on just about every Linux application you could ever want...how to install, how to configure, how to use, etc. You don't even have to run Arch Linux to use it (although there may be some subtle differences if you use other Linux distros). Manjaro is quite easy to use and very Arch-like, as is Antergos (if you don't want to use Arch proper). If not, shorewall and squid are pretty common applications, so a google search would probably help you figure it out. Don't be scared off by Linux, it's not nearly as scary as people say it is.
Agario Community Well, did you watch the video? They want to trick you so you will allow them to have access tho your computer. All of it is a smoke screen to just get you to the payment part. Since they see your screen, they write down card number, exp, than rob you blind.
Edge isn't as bad, the old engine, Trident, got rewritten for the most part, so it's practically based on a new engine, don't remember the name now. HTML5 support is pretty decent and many other features are ok. It's still not up to Chrome or Firefox (or other popular browsers which aren't that different than these two under the hood), but it catched up pretty good. :) So you can use Edge without further problems, if you don't need need Add-On's. But please stay away from Internet Explorer, that's a different story and an awful thing for web developers. Glad they have hidden it in Win 10.
IE11 is bad because it tried to help people too much. I was drowning in suggestions and false autocompletes. And Edge is nice browsing engine but it really lacks the features to be useable. And it sucks that it is a universal metro app with all the problems of big multi monitor setups.
Lothar Scholz Can't participate on that.. Never used it much, just for Website testing; Chrome is my preferred browser, secondly Firefox. But Edge doesn't seem to be not user-friendly - it shows shome tips and optionally a little guide on the first start.
Whenever they call me, they always say they're "calling from Windows." So, I ask them from which version they're calling. They become very frustrated and hang up!
"My Computer? It's an Amiga 4000. Do you have a kickstarter version of teamviewer für me?" These idiots are so illiterate, in computer and also everything else in life, they'll will even not know that an Amiga is :D
I had someone call me with this scam a few years ago, and when I called him out on it, he stated emphatically, "Ma'am, there's no one else who's going to save your computer!" Then he hung up.
Logan is the guy that actually had the virus and Microsoft wasnt there to save him so hes easily butthurt when he sees other peoples success with their scam dodges dont be like logan internet, and save one person from a tech scam a day be Barnacules and not a Logan mcallister
I had a scammer call me 2 nights ago ... the call lasted over an hour and a half and went through 4 different guy's/scammers . I spoke with a very thick French accent (I'm French but no accent) , so between my 'fake thick accent' and their 'thick (and very real) Indian' accent ... let's just say that communicating wasn't going to well . I would constantly pretend not to be able to understand them , then eventually let the conversation get to a place where we understood each other and I was able to follow their instructions but barely . And then ALL OF A SUDDEN ... I could no longer understand .. and would ask to speak to someone else . Did that with all 4 of them eventually with the last one ... I ''suddenly'' realised that they wanted me to go on my computer to do ''something'' ... once I ''finally' understood ... I told them that I didn't even have a computer . :D
A few months back Peter Parker from Microsoft Tech support called us. We kept asking him spider man related questions. He had no clue, but the wife was rolling. When I told him Doctor Octopus might of used my computer and he is not a very nice person.
When they call and ask, "Do you have Microsoft Windows on your computer?" I say, "No... my computer runs Doors..." They say "There is no such thing..." I tell them..."Well, here in the USA, we have wonderful innovations... the best updates... and we have Doors now." I waste as much of their time as I can... they get others on the line to listen to the "Crazy American" insist that she has DOORS on her computer... LOL! Scammers are so much fun. :)
My dad works for NEC as a system administrator and he received a call like this about a week ago. Then guy who claims his name is 'James' was, of course trying to scam him but we weren't in his computer room and my dad pissed 'James' off by telling him that there's more than one computer that he owns and asked what the computer's hostname was, as if the computer really had a virus and they were trying to fix it, they'd know it. Of course, 'James' got pissed off and hung up. He keeps calling though, and you'd think he's learnt something by now. My mum has a plan to let him ramble on, and then ask what she needs to do. When he says "Go on the computer" she's going to respond with "Oh no, I'm not allowed to touch his computer. If I do, he'll beat me." and we'll see what he does from there lmao
you are a god in my book. I cried with happiness.I am very stupid with any kind of tech and these guys tried to get me. I've never been so happy to be poor and not have a cc or bank acct. they ruined my computer!!!! I love you man and hope only good things for you. I always say do good get good. do bad get bad .after seeing your video I feel justice has been served thank you.
This literally just happened this morning (7/2/16) and I decided to release the video tonight since so many of you guys asked for it on Twitter. I hope you guys enjoy me wasting an hour of Charlie's (aka. Raj's) time and being the first person to expose TeqFly.com on TH-cam. Hopefully enough people will read the video description and contact the legit companies involved and get them to black list these scammers and take all their assets. Hanging up on a scammer just sends them to the next mark, but scamming a scammer not only entertains yourself and other people but also helps to put an end to the practice. Thanks for watching! If you have scammed a scammer yourself please respond to this comment and let me know your story.
I take it all seriously, and let them know that I will pay them as soon as the lost inheritance from a Nigerian Prince that I am about to collect, comes in.
The sad part of this is that the actual caller is not aware of the scam itself (most of the time). The 'caller' is trained and hired by the bogus company to call people like you to sell a service or a product. The manager is the actual bad guys here, because they are very aware of the scam itself, they train and hire regular people to do their dirty work. The 'caller' probably get a bonus for every customer they sign up, on top of their low hourly salary. The actual 'scam' is kind of a grey zone in terms of being a scam. They do sell you a service or a product, even though it's a shitty product or service. Sometimes it is an actual scam though, where they steal your creditcard and charge it o the maximum limit. But as they use Authorize.net, they've learned that they have deliver something in order to charge you, and as you don't actually read the terms, they just refer to said terms of service where it states that you agree to pay 199 USD for their service. And then they just send proof of delivery to Authorize.net in case you file a complaint. TeqFly looks like one of those grey zone companies who delivers a shitty overpriced service. It would of been fun if you actually tracked down their servers, and started DDOS them while in the call. :P
+Christer Johansson I did my research before making the video. There is no gray area this is 100% a scam. They start the call saying you have a virus and they work for Microsoft and it shows in their database you have a virus. That first sentence makes them a scam since they are lying on all counts to gain control of your computer under a false pretense and even watch you enter credit card information.
Barnacules Nerdgasm Yes, that's true. When they claim to be from Microsoft under false pretense, they are indeed a scammer. I'm just saying that many of them operate in the "gray zone". I guess it's Indias version of Nigerian scam-mails. xD
You make a great point about how the callers likely are victims as well, but encrypting someone's hard drive (or other malicious activity) to force them to sign up is 100% illegal in most countries.
i am first of all sorry for my people and yes "tech support" are 100% scam , not only the manager but the callers themselves know about the scam and they are given a daily task of 600$ that they have to earn for their employers and not only tech support but even big MNC's like Expedia are guilty of the same crime i seen all with my own eyes , sorry once again
does memz jump form a network to another? i saw a video of a scammer getting into a vm wich had memz. it ran on the vm, but i didnt understand if it get to the scammers network. the lad started cursing and yelling nonsense so it might seem they got it too, but im getting different answers about memz behavior. care to clarify to me?
I once got a call from someone saying "my Windows had a virus", I told him my windows have been cleaned yesterday and he started explaining me what a computer OS was... Later I told him I was using Arch Linux and he gave up. Now I regret I didn't set up something like a Gentoo or a Slackware VM with a really weird desktop environment for him to have fun.
Or MAM. I once rang tech support for my machine (I knew one of the guys that worked for them) and I got the manager who used very chatty and straightforward language. Long formal language on a professional phone call is generally discouraged in my country. (Also deliberately mispronouncing words is a big no-no, needless to say).
is this like a goddamn invisible comment? is the government transmogrifying the comments? AHHH ALIENS THE SUN IS IMPLODING what did you say? what the fuck did you say that's invisible!? TELL MEH NOW
I heard my mom in her and my dad's home office sounding all concerned one night. I listened for a second and realized that they were talking about her computer (which, to be honest, does have a lot of problems... it's still running on Vista for one). I get up and go in there and she's on hold at this point, so I ask who it is. She tells me they're from Microsoft Support. I tell her that under no circumstances is she to give them _any_ information or access to her computer and tell her it's a scam. So then she starts having fun with them. I mean, the guy was really "sweet" and what not, because he did put up with a lot of my mom's more annoying personality quirks. The call went on for over an hour. I got 18 minutes of video and it's my favorite 18 minutes of video in the world.
So you just told her it was a scam immediately after her saying it was from Microsoft support? You know it could have actually been from Microsoft support…?
Joseph Beasley ^^^^ GUYS PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO HIM. HE IS CLEARLY A TROLL AND YOU WILL JUST START A FLAME WAR IN THE COMMENTS IF YOU BOTHER TO REPLY BACK.
Lots of questions being asked in the comments, make sure you up vote this and check the video description near the end for the answers to common questions.
yes, you can do it on pretty much any operating system. Virtualization is some work to set up though, you'll have to read into it yourself to get it done. It's possible, just takes some work.
Brilliant! When I get these calls at work, I string them along and act dumber than dumb. Then, when it's enough, I ask them how the heck I can have a Windows virus if I'm on a Mac (which I'm not). Thanks for this.
Purgatory Paranormal of NY I waste as much of their time as I possibly can, because that's time they can not use to scam people that don't know what's going on. Had on of them on the phone for something over 30mins and told him at the end that I have a Mac, that's really the easiest way to get rid of them.
Purgatory i don't i let them talk for a few minutes , then MID WAY IN THE CONVERSATION i ask them "hey, sorry, quick question did you see the latest tom cruise movie, it's awesome, .. what was your favourite part ?" and when they try and get back to the subject i'll be like "i'm doing that, but, just quickly what was your favourite part in the movie, what other movies do you like." hehe or i'll do stuff like "so are you a dog person or a cat person, which dog you prefer, a Border collie or German shepherd" hehe
Should've Opened the fake Detail files and minimize it and said ill brb I have to pay for pizza or something and see if he would open back the fake detail files
Had an asian accent guy say he was "steven banks from london" I answered in a thick brummie accent (I sound a little like ozzy osbourne if i really put it on) "I'm Bhangra Singh from New Delhi", he hung up immediately
Well, to be honest, a lot of MS official worldwide support is in India. We chatted with them about a certain enterprise licencing deal that was vague on our regional MS webpage, and got thrown first from India, to the US, to other place in India with 4 people from different support divisions trying to decipher what is the deal with the MS licences in our country (Serbia), ending with turning us to our local market inspection information center because they couldn't figure it out.
When I was like 12 I nearly fell for this shit. I was browsing very shady porn sites when a popup completely covered my screen including the taskbar, couldn't anything but see the popup. It demanded me $100 in some gift card or the police will come get me. After a few seconds, there were sirens going on outside (purely coincidence) which freaked me out, I was completely frozen and all I could do is shut the computer down and hope for the best. After I turned the computer on again the popup was gone.
Matteo I've seen that one before, only a few months ago. I was on my phone too. Scammers are clever bastards, I'll give them that. Not smart, just clever. I only say not smart because it said the "FBI" needed me to give them a $500 Walmart gift card or I'd be prosecuted for possessing kiddy porn. Not just saying it was for browsing either, it specified possession too. Now at first my heart skipped a beat, but then I remembered that'd be extortion if it was legit, and cleared my cookies and caches, that got rid of it right quick. It was a stubborn pop-up though, didn't go away until I purged my cookies/caches. Still stuns me how over the top it is, though:"Give me $500 in Walmart funbucks or you'll go to jail for possessing child porn." Hope no one falls for that one.
Dang this was some funny stuff. Guess these scammers will never learn. I watched a different channel and he exposed the fact that at some of these call centers they had scammers that could speak a variety of languages. You have a new subscriber now
Jerry this was seriously GOLD! Loved that reaction by the guy at the end... trying to quick upload his shit in to your machine even though you TOLD him it's a VM x-D.
He probably didnt know what VM is lmao. He went panic mode trying to upload everything he could to destroy his operating system and possibly the network. left him feeling like crap i bet but it would be awesome if all their calls were the same, everyone scammed and wasted their time and resources.
As a network engineer who loves this passive aggressive attack on the scammers, I myself, would have lost my composure at 15:00 when he said IP are "randomly generated numbers..." I appreciate the video.
I don't normally advertise a channel on someone else's channel, but check out "ScammerRevolts" Not as fun as Jerry, but it is someone doing this exact thing:)
I work as the team leader in the computer retail store. Few weeks ago I had a woman who came in to the store with a laptop. She told me she came in to "pay money to microsoft" to get her computer cleaned from viruses. I asked is she referring to antivirus? She said no, a microsoft representative told her that a virus already got to computer and antivirus won't help. She was told that she has to buy a specific microsoft security program which will clean the viruses from computer and it costs around €200. I asked how did she speak to the "microsoft representative"?. She opened a computer and I saw the exact same window as on 6:06. I don't know how did the scammer failed that much that the end result was that the woman went to the retail store to purchase their "magic software". But I explained her the basics of internet security, and general rule that if a stranger is asking for your banking details it's pretty much a scam.
I'm proud of my 65 y.o. father who received a call from these scammers. He told them to call again in few hours and called me to ask about the whole thing.
HAHA I love the reveal! "I'm a Microsoft employee at the Redman campus. You're on a virtual machine. You can't do anything. Watch this [shuts down]" HAHAH
A couple of months ago, someone called my mother from this number: 844-350-3888. They said that they represented Microsoft Corporation. The person told my mother that her Microsoft key is expiring soon and they will be shutting down their services within a few hours. So they make it sound like the were getting ready to shut down her services like it was a local utility she had. The call went no further than that, but my suspicion is that this scammer was attempting to scare those who answer the phone into giving account info and then thereby cleaning them out. But, as you and I both know: - Microsoft does not have utility services - When they mention a Microsoft Key, they are talking about the Activation Key from the Windows Operating System - When they say services, they are on the Windows OS - Windows Activation Keys do not expire - The only one who can turn on and off Windows services is you when you are in the Services control panel in Windows So they made it personal by scaring my mother half to death! I do not know if the number is still valid but if you want to give them trouble by pointlessly wasting their time, please, be my guest, but please be sure to capture it on video, because I would like to get a good chuckle at their expense, but I also would like for them to get in trouble for this scam!
I got a call from switzerland wanted to talk to me about investments , i was fully prepared to waste their time for an hour or more , when they asked do you know anything about investments , i replied " i hope so im a financial adviser" , i never heard anyone click hangup and crap themselves at the same time , for all they knew they had been stung by the cops and were being traced ,
My favourite one is when you go a really long way into the call and as they are shouting abuse at you, just before they hang up try and sell them something. My personal favourite is a boat or an aeroplane.
really enjoyed this. Just learned of scam baiting two days ago and it's all i've watched since then. Love that you guys take and jam your talents right down their throats. esp. like the syskey attacks. I saw one yesterday that had the, ahem, tech crying and begging for the baiter's help. the baiter even made him password his own bios afterwards! CLASSIC!! good job, man.
way to go bro!!!! even im from India, this is wrong. These are not techies, they are just a few normal people who know a thing or 2 about computer........stealing hard earned money is WRONG!!!!!
I wish all criminals would be this awkwardly polite "SIR GET DOWN, SIR PUT THE WEAPON ON THE GROUND! WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED!" "ohhhahhh okay... GOOOooood to know..."
Dylanosaurus I am 70 and these wideos are the shit. I once played a tech support scammer and acted so stupid he thought he had talked me into scanning the front and back of my credit card and sending it to a burner email address. I had a ransomware kit in a directory on my VM. I renamed it "credit_card.pdf" and let him have it. He probably won't try to mess with old people anymore.
I am embarrassed to say this but they did this to me about 8 years ago, and took my hard earned money and as a single mother it really hurt, so i am really happy there are people out there that are getting them back.
You people suck. Just because someone didn't know doesn't make her dumb it makes her ignorant and as long as you learn there's nothing wrong with that. I'm glad to see so many people who have never made mistakes though. Get a life people
Kyrst O'Keefe, it's kind of ironic because the hacker is more than likely Hindu and cows are sacred to them. This is really random, but we have the same last name lmao
Looks like TeqFly.com is still calling people and scamming them even with the website down. Here is the new # people are reporting. 1-877-764-5405 #HaveFun #TweetMeTheRecordings
These guys aren't smart enough to put real viruses on your pc, all they do is syskey, and then hold you ransom for the password, or simply delete random files

As soon as he heard that card number is not real. . his disappointment. . priceless 😂 I am from India sorry that you guys have to go through this.
@@rickc0011 From what I understand they do actually do legit work (as a cover), then behind they scam people. Though am unsure of their legit legal work though of course....
I used a Indian accent and said they called their own tech center. Guy was speechless.
niicceee
that's a genius idea
Genius
I did the same thing hahahahaha
ownagepranks did that. fucking hilarious outcome
You could hear his excitement the further he got you into his scam process.
Onyxsolo 600 likes no replies lol
Ali Emre Burlukkara YOU RUINED IT
I had someone call me once saying that my Windows machine had a virus. I told them I had a Mac, and they just hung up. I was so disappointed that I didn't get to chat with him.
Jagcycle that's a good point in having a mac though. This scam wouldn't be possible on a mac. Apple just scam their customers with their high prices.
cinqo7 they are possible but they are not educated for mac XD
should of done what i did, i was playing with unix and had them connect to that instead of my windows machine..that would of been epic if they connected to the mac...
Jagcycle they called my friend last night while we were setting up his new 4ktv and I heard him say something about his computer and I was like no way! So I told him to fuck with them because it was a scammer, he did for a bit then said he had a Mac also and they just hung up too haha
lmao
this helped me today at work.
Bless you for taking the time to help that person.
Bank of Jamaica is lucky to have employee like you... Bless you !!!
I Want To Make Thank you so much so many elderly not aware of this crazy world today
One of those scammers once called my great grandmother. She doesn't have a computer.
HAHAHAHAHA
😂
One scammer called me and could hear an old lady answer before I did. I kept quiet for a few minutes then asked if they could both hear me. When they said yes I told her he was trying to scam her then shouted at him that he should be ashamed and to leave her alone. I was so angry but glad I could intervine.
Lol
They use the `last utility bill ` didn't go through scam and you have to provide your bank details to prevent immediate `disconnection `.
I plan to do a follow-up video since we did such a good job on this and saved a lot of people from being scammed!
woo!
Lol you posted this right when I finished watching XD
you are a legend!!!!
Barnacules Nerdgasm j
I haven't laughed that hard while simultaneously having virtually no clue what was being said in a very long time! Also last year I had one of these calls, but I didn't answer, my EX-Girlfriend's Mom answered and was freaked out, but it was amusing to me
This guy actually is trying his hardest on his BS.
+legoman7041 he really is, lol.
Barnacules Nerdgasm dude love this vid
yeah i can't believe How much effort they put into this like you're this far from having a actual real job. minimum wage is probably very low at where the scammer is from.
Bart Schellings Dude they can milk up to 1k from the most gullible of people, they can find like 20 in a day.
Good old Charlie Williams, I haven't watched this in a while. This is fun, I need to do this again.
LETS GO BARNACULES!!
Hell yea
I like the wallpaper tho
Dude, plz make another one
Next time, live stream it with the stream tab on the browser... that would be epic!
Will share. :)
u just mad cause they fix computers goodly and english good
i just called....
+No “ThisIsImpossible” Name wirus.
haha funny !
Please pay 1599.99 for lifetime support. Thank you.
+1Shingo 5 deal
hi
+The Hoax Hotel hey hoax hotel! 😁
Winning without effort!
yesss like #108 my lucky # :)
haha
That is pure genius. I don't get them anymore for some reason, but when I did I never thought to waste their time.
i need to try that.
My mum has had similar scam calls before and she's told them before that yes, the computer had a virus but it died and we buried it in the garden. When I heard her say that for the first time I couldn't stop laughing.
I like that, probably going to steal it and use it
I say we have a pc and it’s a red star computer and when they ask “it’s made in North Korea
Bro, I think you made more money through ads in the video than the scam guy. Love it, man. Screw them fake tech support.
My Grandma also got taken advantage of so this felt really good.
+Barnacules Nerdgasm Both of my parents fell for it, I'm pretty sure they didn't get any money though.
Same here. You think that number is offline yet? I want to tell them i holding 7 cows hostage and demand some tech support.
Oh and major kudos for posting this
You should talk about this on tech talk next week with jay.
I'm Indian and I don't like what this guy and what he's doing, Barn let me know if you want to take legal action against these scum, it's really sad to see people like this exist.
He is hired by a American cheater boss! So, out of Indian Law Boundaries.
Americans are brain behind scamming like this
Let me get this straight, because I'm kind of lost here.
+Shahe Ansar kid then you need to get out more seen these scam happen in front of my eyes
I love this. You should give it to others so they can do the same thing!
Would you mind sharing this program with me, please? I've been writing some scripts of my own to start blasting these scammers with my bank of VM's.....the more ways to pound them the merrier! :-)
Could you send it to me?
Way to go Pam. For those of you who have the knowledge I think the more damage you can inflict on these scumbags the better. Thank you.
Excellent congratulations!!! Nice program!!!!
I'd love to see every one of these scammers in prison, with a very large roommate named Guarav, who paints tits on their back. ;)
Scott R Thousands? Yeah, most likely over two months.
Scott R "...who paints tits on their back" brilliant!
linux ftw
If you can, could you do a video how you did all that / set that up.
711 people are TeqFly employee's :D
712 tech scammerz
Agario Community Well, did you watch the video? They want to trick you so you will allow them to have access tho your computer.
All of it is a smoke screen to just get you to the payment part. Since they see your screen, they write down card number, exp, than rob you blind.
+Barnacules Nerdgasm This sure made MY day!
Barnacules Nerdgasm Mcaffe is better
seems like they are hiring.
So a "Microsoft support employe" called the Edge browser "Internet Explorer" XD
+Grega Meglic yup
Edge isn't as bad, the old engine, Trident, got rewritten for the most part, so it's practically based on a new engine, don't remember the name now.
HTML5 support is pretty decent and many other features are ok. It's still not up to Chrome or Firefox (or other popular browsers which aren't that different than these two under the hood), but it catched up pretty good. :)
So you can use Edge without further problems, if you don't need need Add-On's.
But please stay away from Internet Explorer, that's a different story and an awful thing for web developers. Glad they have hidden it in Win 10.
microsoft is suposed to get used to it. really unexpected. they were the ones whowrer the ones who made the project XDXD
Whenever they call me I tell them that I'm running a Commodore 64 then I blast a phone modem squeal into the phone. They usually hang up on me.
Whenever they call me, they always say they're "calling from Windows." So, I ask them from which version they're calling. They become very frustrated and hang up!
"My Computer? It's an Amiga 4000. Do you have a kickstarter version of teamviewer für me?"
These idiots are so illiterate, in computer and also everything else in life, they'll will even not know that an Amiga is :D
I once had one connect into my linux computer and he just hung up
This deserves more likes
or you could pick up and say "hey you called the wrong number! it's rakesh from 2 cubicles down!"

LOL
Or answer as another microsoft scammer

You will have to put on a good Indian English accent.
or worse, 10 hours of "Never gonna give you up"
I had someone call me with this scam a few years ago, and when I called him out on it, he stated emphatically, "Ma'am, there's no one else who's going to save your computer!" Then he hung up.
wow you must feel cool
congrats
Just let them run through the process then at the end when they think they won. Inform them that you use Linux
belgianstuff when I troll scammers they say they fucked my mom and my sister
Logan is the guy that actually had the virus and Microsoft wasnt there to save him so hes easily butthurt when he sees other peoples success with their scam dodges dont be like logan internet, and save one person from a tech scam a day be Barnacules and not a Logan mcallister
I used to waste their time, then i got tired of that and started blasting a whistle into the mouthpiece. They dont seem to call anymore :'(
I had a scammer call me 2 nights ago ... the call lasted over an hour and a half and went through 4 different guy's/scammers .
You literally destroyed him! Good to see people who actually go against them!
Literally? So there's nothing of him left and he's a pile of ash on the ground!?
@@Hellwyck I should have said "metaphorically"...well, given the age of the post, let's just call it a "sin of the youth", okay?
Who else was staring at his screensaver the whole time it was up?
Indago V me it's hot
Indago V You mean wallpaper, right "Charlie"?
Indago V me
I thought it was really cute for whatever reason...
Nah, I was playing Age of Empires II while listening to this.
A few months back Peter Parker from Microsoft Tech support called us. We kept asking him spider man related questions. He had no clue, but the wife was rolling. When I told him Doctor Octopus might of used my computer and he is not a very nice person.
I should do this next time...
You should have told him you suspected the computer had a Venom virus. ;)
lmao
When they call and ask, "Do you have Microsoft Windows on your computer?" I say, "No... my computer runs Doors..." They say "There is no such thing..." I tell them..."Well, here in the USA, we have wonderful innovations... the best updates... and we have Doors now." I waste as much of their time as I can... they get others on the line to listen to the "Crazy American" insist that she has DOORS on her computer... LOL! Scammers are so much fun. :)
I would be surprised if there isn't a Linux distro called doors already .
There is a Rebecca black os of all things
If I do, he'll beat me." and we'll see what he does from there lmao
bloonoot Did the plan follow through?😂😂
That would have been a video in it's self if the scammer had believed his mom
Did it work
you are a god in my book.
Ur stupid
Give me ur adress i will send u a pc
why do that for a stranger?
yes; your point?
If you have scammed a scammer yourself please respond to this comment and let me know your story.
omg this is so funny
Wow, just...wow......can I have your intelligence?
Nice I was laughing so much my stomach hurt make more of These 😂😂😂😂😃😂
Raj!!! Haha Savage....
seen a few of these types of videos, always entertaining! new meaning to Jerry-rigged.
This happened to me last week.
My mom is 83
She got this call
We did Not know ,then , what we know now.
Keep making these videos and thanx.
Knowledge is power y'all.
Wow, your mom's 83 and she can use a computer, that's cool.
I take it all seriously, and let them know that I will pay them as soon as the lost inheritance from a Nigerian Prince that I am about to collect, comes in.
Dude you should have demolished his computer with viruses
SyntheticNation Agreed
True
The sad part of this is that the actual caller is not aware of the scam itself (most of the time).
The 'caller' is trained and hired by the bogus company to call people like you to sell a service or a product.
The manager is the actual bad guys here, because they are very aware of the scam itself, they train and hire regular people
to do their dirty work.
Ignorance is no excuse.
My russian friend didn't solve it like this. He just overloaded the scammers system with memz lol
Bacon&Beef reasons why russians are the best

Russian and Soviet Union anthems are the same (almost)
does memz jump form a network to another? i saw a video of a scammer getting into a vm wich had memz. it ran on the vm, but i didnt understand if it get to the scammers network. the lad started cursing and yelling nonsense so it might seem they got it too, but im getting different answers about memz behavior. care to clarify to me?
Cheeki breeki komrad.
I had just such a call earlier today. I asked them to please hold while I got the FBI on the line so they could trace the call. Then I heard a click.
Their remote support probably only works in windows.
I think over 600 scammers disliked this video but you get my like.
well at least we know the name of one of those scammers LOL

I once rang tech support for my machine (I knew one of the guys that worked for them) and I got the manager who used very chatty and straightforward language. Long formal language on a professional phone call is generally discouraged in my country. (Also deliberately mispronouncing words is a big no-no, needless to say).

Payton Kluck She is iying bro
So you just told her it was a scam immediately after her saying it was from Microsoft support?
You know it could have actually been from Microsoft support…?
Asume Microsoft will never call you about your computer,, you have to call them.

GUYS PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO HIM. HE IS CLEARLY A TROLL AND YOU WILL JUST START A FLAME WAR IN THE COMMENTS IF YOU BOTHER TO REPLY BACK.
when they call me and say i need to clean my windows ill tell them no its fine the maid was here yesterday cleaning the windows and the shower
lol
Lots of questions being asked in the comments, make sure you up vote this and check the video description near the end for the answers to common questions.
You should tell him because you are the racist.
You tell me, I wouldn't know.
Barnacules Nerdgasm Exactly :P
Being a tech channel, I'm surprised you had to answer some of those questions. Maybe its time for a VM 101 video.
Glad to see you back in the swing of things Jerry, wait you worked at Micorsoft? What happened ;)
You made a virtual machine in an hour?
What a champ.
yes, you can do it on pretty much any operating system. Virtualization is some work to set up though, you'll have to read into it yourself to get it done. It's possible, just takes some work.
I've made virtual machines in half an hour? What's so cool about this?
Just enable Hyper-V if you have Win10. You can also download VirtualBox or VMware
it's not that hard all you need an already created system image (aka iso file) and put it on vmware or whatever you use for virtualization
he's a system developer ... he has vm images out the wazoo ... and has used them so often that setting one up takes very little time
"Adult pictures" top left off the screen xD

I got the same call aswell. I told them that i've already solved my problem by installing linux.
Kolbjørn Stjern what a legend
i told some scammers to git there hand reach around and fist there selfs
LMAO! oml.. you sir a legend hehe xd
Did they call you back pretending to be Linux support after that ?
Clark Ragay he's legend27
Purgatory
i don't
i let them talk for a few minutes , then MID WAY IN THE CONVERSATION i ask them
"hey, sorry, quick question did you see the latest tom cruise movie, it's awesome, .. what was your favourite part ?"
and when they try and get back to the subject i'll be like
"i'm doing that, but, just quickly what was your favourite part in the movie, what other movies do you like." hehe
or i'll do stuff like
"so are you a dog person or a cat person, which dog you prefer, a Border collie or German shepherd" hehe
^ The intention is to waste their time, not to appear intelligent.
Yeah, the more time wasted, the better.
I found a story where the scammer cold called a person... who hadn't even taken their computer out of the box, using the same virus spiel.
considering cows are sacred in the hindi religion, the background you selected was amazing!
awwe thats unfortunate he didn't get to see it.
Oh I just noticed that lol
fumanchudude goof a slaughtered cow would have been a great choice
Dude just because he's Indian doesn't automatically mean that he's Hindi.
W.D Gaster yes it does
You sir are a LEGEND. We need more people like you .
I have to say for how hard the scammer worked his story and time, he might as well apply for actual IT customer support jobs.
Scamming is easier, just follow the same steps. TS needs intelligence.
*calls them*
"Mario's Pizzeria and Abortion Clinic: Your Loss is Our Sauce, How may I help you?"
“Cook county morgue: you stab them, we slab them”
I'm totally going to do that!
*your city/state* Sperm bank! You jack it we pack it!
You spank it, we bank it
I've used that Mario's pizzaria line on a telemarketer, immediate hang-up.
I got the exact same phone call. When I told her that she called from India. She got caught of guard.
The dislikes are from India&Pakistan hahahaaha
There are some scammers from Pakistan to.
Same with America, Australia, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Antarctica.
They're everywhere, Captain Blight.
Don't forget fucking Bangladesh.
I'm an Indian. I liked it.
Matteo wow that must of sucked
Matteo that's hilarious
Still stuns me how over the top it is, though:"Give me $500 in Walmart funbucks or you'll go to jail for possessing child porn."
Hope no one falls for that one.
Memed by sirens :P
Party Almsivi the FBI needing a $500 Wal-Mart card is hilariously shady enough.
Dang this was some funny stuff. Guess these scammers will never learn.
I watched a different channel and he exposed the fact that at some of these call centers they had scammers that could speak a variety of languages. You have a new subscriber now
Of course this guy speaks better English than when I call Time Warner after 5PM
lol xD
Apparently he might be scamming out of NYC, so it makes sense I guess.
"i'm Cortana, Ask me anything" absolutely made my day
That was amazing and funny! Loved it!
David watches Barnacules. Awesome
David!
Much fun
26:56 I'm pretty sure he said " I'm doing good ASSHOLE thanks for asking" 😂😂😂
I am so late to the party but I think he says "doing good AS WELL, thanks for asking", with a bit of accent
@@MuZ1ckQ but it sure says it like asshole, lol
@@beramoose I love it when BN says somebody get him a CC program.
I plan on trying to do the same damn thing x-D
It amazes me how these scammers continue to try to “destroy” VM’s even after they are told they are hacking a VM and it’s pointless lol!!
I freakin love the random shortcuts Barnacules put on his desktop to make his virtual machine look legit XDDD
I know he's not Microsoft. He would have done a Bing search. LOL
As a network engineer who loves this passive aggressive attack on the scammers, I myself, would have lost my composure at 15:00 when he said IP are "randomly generated numbers..." I appreciate the video.
I was wondering why tf he had cows in his adult pictures folder.. then I realised 😂😂😂
What if they call u but you have no computer?
lol
Works quite well. The guy was quite confused and just repeated "No computer?", then hung up after I confirmed it.
I tried that once, but they kept asking me to check around the house to see if there were any at all.
Los10221996 o wow they don't quit huh!
Los10221996 Lmao
Please make this into a series
That would be good!
I don't normally advertise a channel on someone else's channel, but check out
"ScammerRevolts" Not as fun as Jerry, but it is someone doing this exact thing:)
Agreed
Louiss Tech does the same thing
+Larikon Jeah. Do it together with Louis Tech :D
Loving the folders on the top left corner 'adult pics, tax returns, personal information and TOP Secret' 🤣🤣🤣
26:54 "I'm I'm doing good asshole thanks for asking Jerry" very smooth...
Sam Rockett I just heard that😂💀
Sam Rockett he said as well not as shole
Sam Rockett XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I'm proud of my 65 y.o. father who received a call from these scammers. He told them to call again in few hours and called me to ask about the whole thing.
I never get any random calls from random telemarketers
me too...i'm so lonely...
+Dominic Valentine I like your picture :P
I did one in class we all pranked him
+Alex Eastwood-Welsh once*
did one in class lol
HAHA I love the reveal! "I'm a Microsoft employee at the Redman campus. You're on a virtual machine. You can't do anything. Watch this [shuts down]" HAHAH
These guys are a good reason to have an aircompressor atached to an airhorn next to the phone
TheCludo gona put 1 next to my pc. great idea lol
Ricardo Carvalho
Haha next time on Jerry rigged XD
*****
haha yeah right before they send the police to your adress
A couple of months ago, someone called my mother from this number: 844-350-3888. They said that they represented Microsoft Corporation. The person told my mother that her Microsoft key is expiring soon and they will be shutting down their services within a few hours. So they make it sound like the were getting ready to shut down her services like it was a local utility she had. The call went no further than that, but my suspicion is that this scammer was attempting to scare those who answer the phone into giving account info and then thereby cleaning them out.
But, as you and I both know:
- Microsoft does not have utility services
- When they mention a Microsoft Key, they are talking about the Activation Key from the Windows Operating System
- When they say services, they are on the Windows OS
- Windows Activation Keys do not expire
- The only one who can turn on and off Windows services is you when you are in the Services control panel in Windows
So they made it personal by scaring my mother half to death! I do not know if the number is still valid but if you want to give them trouble by pointlessly wasting their time, please, be my guest, but please be sure to capture it on video, because I would like to get a good chuckle at their expense, but I also would like for them to get in trouble for this scam!
400 indian scammers disliked this video
are u stupid ?
+Rakesh Sahoo can't take a joke?
it hurts when you say indian scammers .. Just refer them as scammers , even we are scammed dude ..
yea well who's fucking fault is that you fuck with us peaple and peaple start fucking with Indians
jonathan oxlade Exactly dont be mad at him. Be mad at the scammers for giving your country a bad name.
I got a call from switzerland wanted to talk to me about investments , i was fully prepared to waste their time for an hour or more , when they asked do you know anything about investments , i replied " i hope so im a financial adviser" , i never heard anyone click hangup and crap themselves at the same time ,
for all they knew they had been stung by the cops and were being traced ,
My favourite one is when you go a really long way into the call and as they are shouting abuse at you, just before they hang up try and sell them something.
These are not techies, they are just a few normal people who know a thing or 2 about computer........stealing hard earned money is WRONG!!!!!
and by doing so a stealing people's money.
why don't you do something to stop it then.
Ospray226
I care.
91 likes on his comment and ZERO on yours.
Turns out you were wrong tough guy.
Now your just a douche.
😂😂😂
They are not normal people. They are organised scam company. Employ thousands of people to scam innocent.b all scams.
He should've gotten one of those $1 prepaid visa cards
David Wu yes!
That's a good idea.
He should have paid 1 million for scamming and wasting people's time.
I once got a pop up it said your computer has been hacked! I'm On A IPHONE
You were watching porn, weren't you?
LazyElectron LMAO
LazyElectron how do you know
i heard u had a wirus 😃
Yeah, but I mean ... it's an iPhone. You can expect that from Apple products.
Thanks for the info...I am almost a victim of one them but I hung up when the scammer is asking about my credit card details asking me to pay USD 150
the wallpaper is perfect for indian tech support haha
I wish all criminals would be this awkwardly polite
"SIR GET DOWN, SIR PUT THE WEAPON ON THE GROUND! WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED!"
"ohhhahhh okay... GOOOooood to know..."
Too bad old people don't know how to use the TH-cam.
Dylanosaurus yeah they should put this on TV
in the newspaper comic strip
Dylanosaurus I am 70 and these wideos are the shit. I once played a tech support scammer and acted so stupid he thought he had talked me into scanning the front and back of my credit card and sending it to a burner email address. I had a ransomware kit in a directory on my VM. I renamed it "credit_card.pdf" and let him have it. He probably won't try to mess with old people anymore.
72 and doing just fine thank you.
Thankfully my grandparents know how to use a phone to ring me :D
200$ ?? That's my monthly pay!
You are hilarious bro! It's my sleeping time and laughing like a madman!
I am embarrassed to say this but they did this to me about 8 years ago, and took my hard earned money and as a single mother it really hurt, so i am really happy there are people out there that are getting them back.
god youre dumb as fuck ..educate yourself woman
You people suck. Just because someone didn't know doesn't make her dumb it makes her ignorant and as long as you learn there's nothing wrong with that. I'm glad to see so many people who have never made mistakes though. Get a life people
lmfao gg mate. you gullible af.
Chanel Oberlin well she did say it was 8 years ago pretty sure no one in TH-cam made videos about scammers in those days . She didn't know better
Carol Sims that's why don't give personal details online
I died when he pulled up the pictures of cows getting it on?
Ugandan Knuckles wich wey is da wae?
Evan Soderstrom - Why do you even *need* to ask if you laughed at the cows fucking part?
Kyrst O'Keefe, it's kind of ironic because the hacker is more than likely Hindu and cows are sacred to them. This is really random, but we have the same last name lmao
Looks like TeqFly.com is still calling people and scamming them even with the website down. Here is the new # people are reporting. 1-877-764-5405 #HaveFun #TweetMeTheRecordings
Barnacules Nerdgasm i'm going to put a virtual machine, and call them and then play around with them like you did
Barnacules Nerdgasm And the pepole won't respond. It's been 3 times and no response
May hell (And my very own virus software) rain upon them! XD
Are they still calling people?
These guys aren't smart enough to put real viruses on your pc, all they do is syskey, and then hold you ransom for the password, or simply delete random files
That wallpaper. 🤣🤣
Doing the Lord's work. Thanks OP. Subbed.
You should've put Canada for the country, just to see if he noticed.
so... youtube recommended section
Agreed.
yup!
Peter Chang xdxd
Peter Chang 5
Wow the amount of detail that the scammer uses to try to convince you is unbelievable.
I honestly fell tired from listening to this scammer!
They probably had nightmares of Barnacules’s laugh 🤣😂, love the vid
