This helped me so much since I had a 16 and 18 in floor tom. And forever I was using the app drumpro tuner. And it seemed like forever I couldn't get the pitch I wanted. Tuned my 18in tom perfectly watching this method and currently tuning my 16 in w the same method. Thank you for this
I've just found a snare, a tom, and floor tom for 35$ at a local thrift shop!! I don't have a full kit yet but that's alright, I just wanna bang on some drums. Thanks for the tutorial!
I did this and my floor tom sounded papery and thin. Had to put much more tension into it and still not a great sound, but a useable one to get by. Didn't work for me
If you haven’t fixed it yet, you might need to drop it almost so it’s off like where he started in the video with the batter head and give it a good stretch the same way he did. That might fix it. Otherwise depending on how old the head is you might be in for a new one.

Hey we’re all wondering if you got the full kit yet buddy
That foam padding in the background is perfect. Small detail but you can barely tell they are squares. 👌Bravo! Also you're stores will be missed ❤🩹
Thank you sir🙏🏻, because of your video now i can tune the floortom myself😃.
May god bless you.

You're welcome!
Thank you, amazing vid best Tom tuning tutorial I’ve watched
That floor tom sounds great.
Is that a Tama SLP? I like how shallow those rack toms are

Didn't work for me
I wish I could have drums
U will get it
Thanks
equal? are your ears made from wood?
He’s a drummer his ears aren’t great 😂
Nice but tuning depends on music (playing) style. Big bang or dynamic phrasing. As well as any miking, close or overhead
mine just comes loose again after an hour of playing. i then tried tuning it higher to stop this happening but it sounded like crap

Maybe it's because of 25 years on guitar but the bottom definitely had a few spots that sounded pretty different to me....
I notice that with most drum tuning videos. Idk if the audio really does it justice.
The guy in the background
I fixed my floor Tom because it sound to high
