Fantastic quality film, great commentary as well. Those were the days - so much character with all the different makes / models. I used to go to Prestwood (Buckinghamshire), that was just like this, proper banger racing!

Majority of these were less than 20 years old when this took place, so not a lot to get upset about here, apart from not being keen on a Toyota Crown coupe being raced.
What a like about this, it was proper racing, cannot work out most banger racing as all drivers seem to like wiping there cars out, all the time is must take to make a car and get to the race track then go wipe car out in five mins.....MADNESS!!
Even in this state these cars would be worth restoring these days

Would there have been punches thrown after this - 662 being spun off? I can remember seeing dust ups in the pits at Bovingdon as a kid after similar incidents and asking my dad why they were fighting and himn saying it was about what happened in the race. Maybe it was all part of the show ...
I used to race at coombe valley dover in the 90s & looking for footage of me racing but can't find any dose anyone know if there is any & how I can get it please

that is the proper banger race's from world of sport days, old rover p4s & p5s Morris Oxford and Austin Cambridge etc, etc

Toyota Crown coupe, Be worth a lot now, when i was about 5 next door got one and i fell in love with it, the nicest car i had ever seen
