I've been struggling with A5 on all characters, never beat the heart. But then I watched this and the who needs block/damage video. It gave me that push I needed. Next game I beat A5 with the Silent and got my first heart kill without much issue. And I had started out with Coffee Cup from the whale :)
I know Runic Pyramid is a great relic that can win you the run, but I always feel very uncomfortable by it breaking the flow of the game

I remember that run where he killed the heart on turn 1. It was his very first heart kill, and he laughed at the end because he still didn't know what the heart did.

@@BreakerdeGodot As mentioned in the video, it was quickly patched to be that way. Initially, it seemed to be that it the damaged was capped if it came from one instance. You couldn't blow it up in one hit of poison or multiplied strength. But new hits past the cap would register fine. There's literally video evidence

It's been so exciting seeing the water-flosser saga unfold as a TH-cam-only viewer.
i've an idea to save wraith form, just make it etheral, it makes sens it's a ghost, and you can't hold it like this stupidly. It also force you to use the discard ability of the silent for saving it for later
Its literally 1 turn of 1 dmg and as soon as you hit next turn its gone. Its called having good relics and good drawing along with a decent sized deck.

@@lucasvivante8988 you're complaining about a card that is decent for a turn. The only reason it's so good is the random combination of the other relics and cards. Not because that card is op.

It was a comment i made 5 month ago, i don't remember why, but u think it was jorb litteraly saying wraith form is too op and playing silent is like you get it and you win or you don't and you lose.
Btw you get 3 turns of intangible, and with sneko or just energy it's not the end of your turn. You also get nightmare with silent meaning you can get 12 turns of intangible
As someone who barely beat the game for the first time as The Silent(took me 4 hours) I am just flabbergasted.

That's a really old video, pretty sure it got patched out
Proposed wraith form nerf: Gain 8(10) Dexterity. At the end of your turn lose 1 Dexterity. This way it still does it's thing (making you nigh invincible) without being able to play the card and actually don't care about damage.
Or make it like demon form gain 2/3 dex per turn
Open cage is one of my favorite boss relics, since it removes 2 cards from your deck. I try to run as lean as possible. That's just me though.
Poor Wraith Form is overqualified. It's worked so hard to get to where it is, only to be knocked down by jealous luckers like Jorbs.

A awesome poison thing to do is have envenmom snecko skull and he shivs which make 1 shiv give 2 poison
He got so lucky on cards and relics. Icecream + intangible + wraith form on AC1 that was just the luckyest Silent run i've ever seen. On my runs i don't even get Footworks on AC1, not to mention the garbage silent rares that oftem appear.

Tungsten rod seems underwhelming? I survived two exact lethals against slime boss because of it then went on to win my first Ascension 20 run, so I beg to differ

My best heart kill was a game where I had tons of a card I can't remember the name of, but it does 60 to all enemies if no cards in draw. I used Nightmares to clone it, played exhausting cards turn 1, and just always drew it. In the end, was meeting it's cap every round.

Honestly, it's not _too_ complicated to make a graphics engine. Past that, this game's programming doesn't get too much more complex than a text-based RPG's would. I think the elegance in this game's design is what's so impressive about it.

Why are monsters doing 1dmg on first round? What's affecting that? 19:51, they are not weak, and...I went through this person's artifacts to try an understand.
Is there an easy mode or mod?
Incense burner makes enemies deal 1 damage every 6 turns (The turns are saved so if he ends the fight in 5 turns then Turn 1 of the next fight it'll be active)

if you had done it when he had had 9 * 3 = 27 * 3 = 81 which would have been amazing

What if wraith form gave you 5 buffers instead?or killed you when the effect wears off
It's not an op card it lasts one turn. And kill you after it ends is completely stupid you'd have to completely redo the card. Set amount of buffers is useless. It lasts one turn he also has iron rod and incense burner both of which are strong relics.

How come the enemies here in A20 do less damage than on my A1? Is there a relic I'm not familiar with?
It's random and they do more damage and have more hp. The difference is cards unlocked and how you play. If they're doing more damage right off the bat you're just unlucky. Enemies have set patterns they'll follow every time you fight them for the most part the damages might change but he also has intangible which makes you take 1 dmg every turn its up which is really good.
Also I missed the incense burner and iron rod both if which effect this.

The only thing I don't get about Jorbs's playstyle is this: Why does he NEVER freaking use Catalyst until it's fatal next turn? Making 15 poison into 30 poison, on a foe with 200 hit points EARLY IN THE FIGHT would be waaaay better mathematically. Especially given that poison fades by 1 per turn, that's 2 or 3 poison a turn you're just throwing in the garbage (depending on Catalyst vs Catalyst Plus).
Seriously, you guys: DON'T SANDBAG YOUR POISON EFFECTS.
i regularly use catalyst when it doesn't kill next turn. in fights where i do wait until it's killing next turn the reason is usually that i didn't draw it until then or that i was using all my energy to defend myself until then (once the enemy is dying next turn you don't have to block anymore).

Its a varied deck. If you're hitting that high you're using too many catalyst against enemies what a waste.
need a game like this with quality art, have proper animations, and maybe some gear/cosmetic for character (or a lot of collectable characters), has a story too....
