Storm of Steel became a like a curse card for him in the late game. Never played it!
Given the thumbnail, the actual transforms are so much funnier than I was expecting
Decay getting consistently drawn with Ink bottle and escape plan in act 2 made me laugh more than it should have lol.
1:47 Why when looking at your deck during the card rewards screen, did it show Eviscerate costing 2 energy??
Weird...
It doesn't seem to be reflecting the last cost of the card, or recent discards. Eviscerate was 3 the last time it was in hand (just once in the last combat). Survivor was played second-last turn, which would have made it cost 2, but there the card wasn't drawn, and nothing discarded on the last turn when the combat ended.
Could be preserved from the last time a turn was ended? Feels like a bug to me in any case...

lol Decay did like 8 direct damage where as regret was just always discarded. that was a very painful decay

Holy hell what a start. Astrolabe is one of the boss relics I tend to not pick, because of its inherent random nature... maybe I'll start picking it some more
I tend to think every Astrolabe transform is worth 2 pandora’s transform due to how powerful upgraded cards tend to be. Also it’s important to remember I think that while you might not get exactly what you want, the transforms are all but assured to be better than strikes and defends.
I think transforming early on is even better because you can build your deck around the cards you got.

For some reason Pen Nibbing unupgraded Neutralize twice in one fight made me laugh out loud.
All you need is a Reflexes (I think) for Storm of Steel to actually combo with Finisher/Eviscerate (if you draw into them after?)

you CAN play finisher after playing storm of steel! you just need to discard a reflex with it, or activate ink bottle.

he did boss swaps for a while. just seeing how they played out
I think it's more that he dislikes it as a strategic choice, so he likes to either play ignoring it (most of the time) or play with blind swaps for a while (occasionally).
Are we going to talk about how the entire run they were talking about anal possibilities?

He uses the beta card arts for some cards. You unlock them by beating the heart with that character for the first time. Then you can toggle the different card arts individually.
