idk if you're memeing but the odds of that happening are incredibly low, and it's not necessarily even game losing to get a hand full of three cost cards. you get potions to help on rough turns, some turns you can just pass and be alright, some single cards can mitigate an entire turn (intangible, buffer, piercing wail, impervious, vault) and you may have active powers/relics that bail you out (anchor/cleet/captain's wheel, corruption, barricade/calipers, incense burner, frost orbs, plated armor, etc.) literally all of these examples were off the top of my head. you usually hit a few bad hands throughout a snecko run. it's still one of the best relics in the game in large part because of its consistency.

If a defrag+ makes each frost orb give 2 more block and also gives the awakened one +2 strength, it evens out and often reaches a net positive even against multiattacks. Other powers like biased cog have similar benefits, and loop helps immensely as long as you keep frost in front. It is worth noting that if he had only 3 orb slots, the build would have suffered a fair bit
1:06:00 lol, "if it's the multi-attack we have to like, try" proceeds to win off the thorns, the multi-attack would have also died from thorns, game is too easy
15:35 Am very curious why he decided to skip the cards there. Is there anything negative about reboot that makes skip better than taking it? I guess the re-shuffle of discard pile can reduce the odds for drawing what you want, but this seems a very minimal downside compared to what it offers - drawing new cards for free when you don't have what you need in your current hand.
It's probably bcs it is a dead card during the first cycle because shuffling the discard pile is bad when he's looking for the defrags and electrodynamics to quickly clean up mobs or elites. I forgot whether he's gotten the electro or not at this point but jorbs often plans ahead unless pressured by an immediate dire situation. Some examples would be his skipping a lot of charge battery though its a decent act 1 defense card. I might be wrong though but this is what I think of it.
take a look at your discard pile on turn 2/3/4 every now and then, you'll notice it's often a LOT worse than your draw pile. not just missing the strong powers/exhaust cards, but also full of dazes/burns/slimes etc.
So I just finished watching the episode of Next Generation "Cause and Effect" where Data has to send them the message of "3" everywhere and I saw that donation for 3.33 hahaha trippy..
Maybe you should do a "how good is snecko eye really" Spire Talks video, just based on the first 6 minutes of this video. Then you could link to it with a channel command when people unironically ask if it's bad or not.
Are you going to do occasional runs of your most recent/complete(?) mod character once he is finished, or do you plan to just do a few one off runs only?
The conversation re: snecko eye at the beginning; jorbs is talking about it drawing cards, but I thought it just randomized card costs. Am I missing something?
gremlin art was great, only way to improve it would be to have fat gremlin looking through the hole all scared cuz the fat gremlin omission made me really sad
I'll be honest, I feel that. I often find that I have no idea how some runs ended because I fall asleep in act 4 and wake up to a new video as he's selecting a starting bonus. That said, I've ended up improving my understanding of the game quite a bit compared to before I started watching.
Nir Peled I think it has less to do with the content but just how we’re watching the vod through youtube and partly of how his personality is. The game isn’t particularly engaging to a passive observer, so it’s up to the streamer-viewer and viewer-viewer interaction to keep things alive. Take away the live chat and you basically lose a chunk of that. Jorbs also doesn’t have an ecstatic personality and personally most of his appeal is from the fact that he is quiet. Imo it’s perfect to just tune to his stream/videos and do your daily work on the foreground lol.
@@dearozero3631 OH!!! That makes so much sense! thank you! I didn't actually know that was what it would do, I don't think I've ever taken it, always just skipped!
Dear streamer, I understand that the mechanics of Slay the Spire might be difficult to grasp, especially for the newer player, but the boss "The Awakened One" gains 2 strength every time you play a power at this difficulty level. You may wish to change your strategy to accommodate for this fact in the future.
Not if you're going to play Defragment or Loop. The 2 strength doesn't do as much as gaining 2 block per frost orb or tripling the effect of an orb, so it's perfectly possible (as you saw in this video) to just outscale the Awakened One while still playing powers.
Hey Jorbs, I had an insane run last night with the defect. It was an infinite instance with unceasing top. Had a deck of 47 cards containing two upgraded aggregates, a regular aggregate, 3 upgraded turbos, an All for One, A fission, and roughly 4 of each of claw, beam cell, and go for the eyes. Also had zap and dualcast upgraded. Got the heart down to 34 health before the infinite ended when I drew a status card.
Can some1 explain the logic for not taking 0 mana Draw cards when they are offered for free, like the reboot at act 1? There is something I'm not seeing there....
33:15 man why you gotta say shit like that. I like your content and I understand it can be annoying but when you get all passive aggressive it just doesn't seem like you. Give chat a bit of a break they are there to support you
