Blynk Controlled Fan Regulator without Humming | Fan Regulator working explained | IoT Projects

  • In this video we will be studying the circuit and working of a Fan Regulator and after that we will try to make our own Fan regulator that works over Internet using Blynk IoT platform.
In the previous version of my AC dimmer, there is one problem of humming if you connect that circuit with a fan. But with this Capacitive dimming method you won't face any humming sound issue.

Great Job-like always I love all the work you do. There is one thing that you need to add that is a box to install the relays in and some type of shielded cable for all the mains voltage. None of the higher voltage terminals or wires can be exposed

Hey Sachin, this is great explanation and very well presented. I have been running similar setup for more than a year except with D1 mini board and ESPHome firmware - it has been a rock solid.
Like you presented, I did use the existing regulator board by removing the rotary switch and soldering wires which go to relay board. I'm facing hard time finding these capacitors. Do you know from where can we buy the capacitors separately?
On a side note, I also tried to design custom PCB with two big capacitors and 3 relays to make it compact but didn't order as unable to find the capacitors. I shared PCB renders to you via email last week which includes this board. Do you happen to see that?

hello bro ,i saw your video and block i followed exactly and did same i use 225J and 335J capacitors and resistor values are same ,and it works perfectly, my fan is rotating at speed 2 after 20 minutes i increase fan speed to 3 the resistor 2.2E is burn out with pop sound then my fan is rotating with speed 1 and speed 4 only, did you have any this type of experience when testing your circuit i need WHY it happens like that ,i replace resistor with new one again it happens ,i don't know how to solve this can you have any idea to solve this ,did i use any other value resistor to this speed2 ,capacitors are good and 220k 1/4watt is good

You need to find a way to put software speed control in this order, OFF>>High(4)>>Mid(3)>>MidLow(2)>>Low(1) or there's gonna be fan coil damage or something like that.. the regulator u tore apart should also be in this order..
Or Make sure Fan is at highest speed while turning on
