The thing I like most about this story is what is left unsaid. Kentucky is a landlocked state. It has no reason to have a lighthouse anywhere in the state. The implication that Amy movd specifically to a landlocked state to escape her guilt and it still followed her is just brilliant

Yeah... I was kinda in and out of paying attention, so it wasn't until the end when he said he couldn't find the valley again... *_THAT'S_* when my brain woke up and yelled "Who tf puts a bloody lighthouse in a fricking valley?" And now I'm wide awake...
you should make a playlist with all the stories you have done that involve a lighthouse. it's super satisfying to see - lighthouse horror presenting lighthouse horror, haha. I love lighthouses as a symbol which is why I've always loved your channel name, too

As a resident of KY I can tell you, sometimes this place gets too quiet and you can just feel the air go still. It's creepy sometimes comforting others.

I like this story. It doesn't seem like the spooky things are just abnormally hostile. The narrator is accepting of the way things are, but also moves along the mystery in an intelligent, relatable way. The tone at the end is perfect too.
Man, when you get a glimpse into someone else’s hell, it can be heartbreaking out of context.

I listen to other creepy pasta readers on occasion, and not many seem to find stories as good as the ones you find for us. Like...NOWHERE near!
Where are these coming from? Do you keep a dragon stash of original stories? Do you keep talented writers in your basement, and refuse to feed them until they produce a good story every week?
Seriously though, when I tune into your channel, I am guaranteed to enjoy whatever story you have there. It's a rare find these days, I can tell ya!

Living on the coast, fishermen in my family go back generations, lighthouses are part of our culture and Lighthouse Horror is my favorite channel.

I am from Eastern Kentucky, which probably contributed to my enjoyment of this story. I have seen many of those crumbly little motels.
Kentucky has some far out isolated weird spots for sure.

Coming from some one who lives in eastern ky. It deff has its fair share of scary and weird wooded areas. This reminds me of when I was a young teenager probably 11 or 12, my family would all get together and go atv riding in the woods, and one evening as we were stopped to chat & rest s few min, I looked up in the mountains and I seen this random shack in the middle of the woods with the tallest chimney I had ever seen and it gave me the creeps, it was just so random cause it was nothing but woods no homes any where because how far back in the boonies we were at just nothing but trails and woods. And I asked my dad if he could see it and pointed to it and he said he couldn’t see anything, so I just dropped the subject and went back to talking to my family. And every time after that when we went back I would look up at the same spot trying to see the shack and never saw it after that. That will always stick with me no matter how old I get I always remembered that.
I definitely would not be trying to find that place again
That was a fun story. Nice solid spooky story, didn't try too hard, didn't have to be anything more, just a good old fashion ghost story.

This is a great story, but I'm a little confused. The interaction with Macy was probably a dream, but does that convey a message, that Macy and Amy are related? Why can't Macy see the lighthouse? I have so many questions. I need clarity, someone please explain the plot to me :
IMO Amy is in Limbo because she failed to light the Lighthouse beacon many years ago and inadvertently caused a ship wreck.
I don't quite understand how a Lighthouse from the coast came to be in Kentucky.
I wonder if the main character was also involved in the shipwreck in some way.

Why is ky the creepiest state? I've lived here my whole life and can't think of anything abnormally scary about it?
@@noggyplays2822 My estimate is based on a book I have called 'American Haunts'. I checked the length of each chapter and the number of haunted locations and Kentucky has the most though the book specifies that Western Kentucky is practically haunt-free but things get creepier the further east you go. Of course I'm not losing sight of the fact that every word could be crap.
I have to politely disagree with the list. I personally am from NC and have visited Virginia and West Virginia. I also have friends from New York. Personally speaking, Virginia and West Virginia give off Evil Vibes and NC has people go missing all the time along with very strange occurrences happening throughout the state. I have experienced some strange things myself. Virginia has roads named 6*6. Its the epotimy of Evil. You feel it in your bones.

The Ozarks have me creeped out when i lived there for a while up in the northern parts of Arkansas, tons of books all about the Ozarks read alot while there- Wasn't the best ideas yet i do that a lot when traveling.
Oregon had given me creepy vibes too a bit in the woods with knowing before arriving, great spooky books!

Spoiler because of my sudden epiphany while listening to this for the first time.
Okay so I’m just putting this here now as a reminder before I finish this. Amy Campbell and is an anagram for Macy Pellbum. I’m calling it now so if that’s true I’m leaving it in the comments as proof before I finish. Also if anyone else hasn’t found that out yet, there you go.
Edit: I may have spelt the name wrong but yeah. Still haven’t finished yet.
Second Edit: I’m currently at 20:57 and I think I’m right about the girl being involved in it as she was so oddly described in the beginning. I’m guessing everything including the motel isn’t actually real and this is the so called “sins of amy Campbell” being retold. Also putting a spoiler disclaimer at the top just in case.
