Honestly I'm pretty sure that romantic feelings and desires are actually useful in these scenarios because love is one of the most intense emotions and not in a corney sense either after all the entity your calling upon is made out of the same stuff your desires are made of be they hate, love, sadness, or joy.

Jessica is a bad person tbh. How can she do that to a person she calls her friend? What about consent?
The devil comes to steal , kill , and destroy. The first casualty is always morality.
She thought she knew what the main character needed better than they did. In a way it was really still all about her. Even though it seems she was right ultimately, the main character ended up accepting it, though they may not have if it was approached directly.
To be fair, those demons would hurt/kill morally innocent people, the good people. If you ask me it's a necessary evil.
I *kinda* want my own personal demon now. Lol
I imagine she only brought her old 'friend' into this for her own gain. She doesn't actually care about her.

As to the performance of our narrator, major hat tip to a well done job with well placed emphasis while reading. This story was a very well crafted tale of manipulation and weak willpower. Loved it!

At the end of the story, when she was talking with her friend and asking how to control or steer the demon. When they said "its as easy as falling", and the protagonist asked, "off a log?" And finally the friend replied "if you like." I got the sense that her friend was no longer her original friend, instead had been taken over by her demon. Just such a weird reply to that question....anyone else get that?

You really have been spoiling us with some delightful darkness of late. I have started coming straight here for my evening horror and while it would be incredibly hard to match last nights amazing tale let alone beat it, this was still very good. It reminded me of Dennis Wheatley and his classic 60s /70s stories of Satanic Cults among the elite. Excellent work by both author and narrator. I like very much the sence of class you bring to the creepypasta world.

I have to say, in all honesty, LH my friend... you NEVER disappoint! This story was so well timed and put together, I am awestruck! Just... WOW!
When the protagonist found herself strung up, the very first thing that came to mind was the Bathory scene in Hostel 2. Chilling, although this story went so far beyond the terror of a relatively quick, though tortuous death. This took us on the beginning of a lifetime spent in unknowing fear and anxiety.

Firstly I want to say that I wish this story didn't end already! I would have liked to see the kind of person she would have turned into in the end. And secondly, I am happy with the ending. I mean yeah I wish that it didn't end already. But I'm happy that she didn't instantly try to "fix" the problem but decided to acept it. I'm tired of every story similar like this being about the main character being such a good person and alwayx wanting to do the right thing. I think that it's so much more thrilling and scarier sometimes when they end up not being so good in the end!
