Thats right homie and i got 1 and there the best bang 4 ur buck .and there bullet proof in engine department and they nealy have as much torque as a wrx .so 1300kg v6 delta engine and the interior is very sporty not to mention the body is gorgous
Correction. The 2.7L with a manual is rated at 7.0 seconds. Not the 8.2 that was told...that is more in line with the automatic V6 or perhaps the 2.0L 4-cyl with a manual.
I bought my 2003 GT V6 new from the dealer, and still dig this car as much as ever.it seems to get faster over time, or maybe my mind is just getting slower, either way this is a fine machine, and way more interesting and fun than the predictable mustangs that are everywhere.
I've had 3 cars and the Tiburon (2006) was my favourite of the 3

@@112188Francisco the 06' is the last year before they fucked up the front headlight and side vent-look of the car. Also has better trim options and colors. I have a 06' GT Limited and it's the funnest car I've owned.
i have this car right now. im actually sitting in my car right now the 2002 hyundai tuscani. its called Tuscani in Korea and im in Korea haha. its a pretty reliable car its quick but its not that fast at all compared to cars nowadays.

Fantastic cars owner a v6 and 2.0 while I'll always recommend the 2.0 the v6 is just that much more fun and sounds brilliant with a few mods. Definately underrated cars but guess that makes it cheaper for those of us who do want them
Picked up an 06 tiburon a few months back, such a fun little car, I've thouroughly enjoyed it so far

I bought my brand new all Black 2003 GT V6 in 2004....and it has been the best car in my life ! it handles like a slot car , and 3rd gear is surreal. I enjoy every moment I get to drive this sure footed solid suspension coupe around all these curvy, hilly beautiful landscapes of the back roads of the incredibly picturesque state of North Carolina! 15 years and it still performs like the day it was born, but better.
I drove my Tiburon V6 on the roads surrounding Asheville and Lake Toxaway last year. Had loads of fun.

I was born in 05, but despite that ever since i found this car I've always wanted to have it. Licences are expensive here so i still hope to obtain a Tiburon in the future.
Born in 04 and my first car was an 06 Tiburon GT! (Tiburon is it’s name here in the US). Don’t stop believing brother you’ll get your dream car soon!!

upgrade header,add cat-back exhaust and performance air filter.get it remapped,and this is a quick car.
I had this car 08 Plate 2.0SIII 143BHP But when I wanted to map it, I was told it would only get 20 to 25 bhp without a turho so I didn't bother. Now I have Audi A4 B8 2009 with start stop :)

@@tylermacinnis4870 haha mines on 200k no turbo issues, minor oil leak that has to be topped up every 6 months but I mapped it to 186bhp and its running good.

Have all these things other than a remap and can confirm it does almost nothing for performance maybe another 5hp at best just sounds fast. Also remap is pointless as ecu will reset itself over time. Need a piggyback ecu to actually do anything

It’s all a bit peculiar. Honda has been making Naturally Aspirated 200hp In-line Four cylinder engines since the 1990’s with the Honda Prelude and Acura Integra. Yet, companies like Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, and Mitsubishi need turbochargers to reach similar power, Hyundai and Kia need V6’s, and Ford/Chevorlet required V8’s to make 160-190hp.
That was back in the late 90's early 2000's, today Honda is taking the turbo route even more than Toyota or Nissan if you look at the current line up they're offering.

I have a 2005 one of these 2.0l 143bhp I live it mine is the gen 3.5 face-lift novel with the black headlights which I think makes the car look amazing. Easy to service and great for a DIY mechanic. I've done full brake discs and pads upgrade exhaust and was really easy. I service this myself saved alot of money not taking it to a garage.

I could also get a first gen Coupe which you can find for like 500 bucks if you want. if it's one that isn't in the best condition, it won't hurt as much if it gets some damage either right.

I don't see how people got this confused with the Ferrari 456. It has the front end of a 550/360 much more than that of a 456.
Look from 3/4 front, side and 3/4 rear view and you will notice the resemblances.
To confuse Coupe/Tiburon with Ferrari... you really have to have no idea about the cars whatsoever.
8.3 seconds? i think hes talking about the 2.0 litter version, the v6 does around 7 flat
+letsroll No he is not, he is quoting the official 0-62MPH time which is 8.2 seconds, BTW the official 0-60 MPH time is 7.7 seconds.
Official times are always conservative and in real world testing you should be able to get about 7 seconds flat.
+alawadhi3000 7.7 seconds for autos, mid 7s for 5 speed, and 7 flat for 6 speed special edition , there are different versions of the gt model you know

My four banger does 0-60 in 7.9 sec. with only upgrade was the k&n short ram.
My 2.0 can get between 6-7 sec so I know your'e not bluffing! I only have a CAI, NGK plugs, and stage 2 clutch.
+letsroll bullshit. My stock 03 2.7 auto beats the 03 6 speed with headers, cia and a full exaust system easily. Everybody way underrates the automatics, the sequencial gearbox may not be as fun, but it's far superior to the standard. I feel like the people that get those times don't know how to launch. when we test it I average about a 6.8 0-60. With some better tires and some weight reduction I bet I could get it under 6.5.

I got rid of it and got an 07 Hyundai Coupe Sii and it was much better no problems there.

2.7 V6... 165BHP... I mean... I know it's 2019 and it could sound funny by today's standards but come on! Golf GTI from 70's got 110 bhp from 1.6 liter N/A engine!!! And Ford Focus ST170 had got 173 HP from N/A 2 liter in-line 4!!! And they were just hot hatches not wanna-be Ferraris!
I have a 2.7 GT with the 6 speed, and although it is quick enough and satisfying for the most part, the car isn't very competitive against most cars. A V6 Camry or V6 Accord will beat it (not even newer ones). It should've came with somewhere about 200hp with 210 lb-ft of torque. It's not very assuring knowing that a 2005 V6 Camry or Accord will beat you.
A gti or a st 170 is quite slow.the v6 have torque and is quick.
No all is the numbers the feeling is important and this v6 is amazing

I'm thinking of getting a 2.0l one, see them for less than a grand on Auto Trader. I like the shape and they are quite rare.

My Tiburon is way quicker than that,,, I have an 03 GT V6 and it does 0-60 in 7.0 seconds.. Then again, i get 16mpg
Nick Johnson Yeah this european version seems tuned down. Possibly for more strict laws on vehicles pollution. North American 6-speed should be [AVG 19-23 MPG _ 172hp 181tq _0-60: 7.0-7.2]
+Blueberry Muffin I guess you aren't in the US, our fuel is cheaper. It costs $31 usd to fill my 2.0 Tiburon, around 25mpg in mostly city.

SBdunks3 you will average 19-20 being hard on the throttle with city driving. On the highway 26+ is easily achievable.

If my 2.0 can get late 6 sec then the GT is a little faster than 8.2.. Only thing I have is cold air intake, plugs and stage 2 clutch. It's a pretty fast car if you put a little money into it.

Mateusz Mikołajczak on average I can do about 7-8 seconds in mine. The stig could probably get 6.9-7.3 if he was driving.

Tumble dryer on wheels. They aren't even remotely as "sporty" as they look. Slow, heavy and wrong wheel drive. 165hp from a V6 is comical even for that era.
There are FAR better cars for the age and price.

Pancake Jelly i paid 2900 for my Tiburon...It makes 172 HP and weighs 2950...Here in America. A Celica gts cost 4k, Audi TT are a little hard to find....3 series coupe 4-6k...And I'd beat it unless it was an e36 m3.prelude is rare.4500. 350z 8900 for a run down one....The rest of the cars you listed we don't get here. 30000gt...The na model 2-4k.....I've only seen 2 turbo models....

Hyundai are cheap and nasty and a budget brand. This looks nothing like a Ferrari.
Explosive Diarrhoea they are not! Theres not many stock cars as old as this with two doors and 150bhp on the road today! Most cars are 80-120bhp and the Hyundai is Japanese engineering the birth of the gtr and many other great cars!

@ The only ones you can compare with are the Mx5 and Celica and the couple would run rings around them performance wise and comfort wise too... The others you mentioned are way to expensive to even compare them with each other.
