Let's be honest, I think Nintendo (and Sony and Microsoft) missed the bus on this one. When emulation first started, it was more of a "let's see if we can do this" type of experiment. Well what do you know, it worked! Emulation has been growing ever since, and that growth is a clear indicator that regardless of the shiny new games that are continuing to come onto the market, people still want to play old games. Then it seems as though Nintendo experimented and released NES and SNES Classic, and what do you know, they were extremely popular. As Nintendo usually does, they screwed that one up by not having enough inventory and the scalpers ruined it for many, but there was definite legit demand. The problem is that these companies are sitting on a cash cow that they refuse to acknowledge, and now they've missed the bus by staring out the window at it and not getting on board, and all they can do is cry about it. If Nintendo had provided a legal and legit way to obtain and play these older games when the demand first became evident, AND did it correctly (reasonable prices, large inventory of games) they would have had a continual revenue stream. Instead, we got a drip feed, with no choice in the matter and frankly complete disregard for the games fans actually want. The online versions through Nintendo's service could be absolutely great, and completely in Nintendo's power (excuse the pun) to make the platform better and better, and the price is actually reasonable, but the game collection is lacking. Fans are going to find a way to get what they want.

What makes this better is Nintendo can’t really do anything about this, emulations been around for years, Deltas been around for years, if Nintendo had any grounds to sue Apple, Riley or any emulator on any storefront at all (emulators on Apple and Android devices have been around for about as long as said devices have been around) they would’ve done it over a decade ago as GBA4iOS (Deltas predecessor) has existed for a VERY long time, same with Delta, same goes for most of the other emulators that exist on both Apple and Android

I find this situation hilarious. Apple is being a troll, and they know Nintendo would be pissed for them to release it on their marketplace. So this is Apple's " come on, try me see what happens" scenario. I do not own Apple products, but under the circumstances, I give Apple a standing ovation here. They are a significant powerhouse that I want Nintendo to try to go against. I want Nintendo to try to do something about it 😂. And Apple users who have never used emulation and just discovered it: welcome to the team 😊. Enjoy it.
It's so funny seeing these people discover emulators for the first time. My first emulator was also Nesticle 0.42 in 97/98 and SNEmul on my first PC from 96 a pentium 166mhz with 16mb of RAM lol
Would love some tutorials on how to make my games look good. I love to play my games on emulation, but there's just some games it's really hard on the eyes to play.
I’ve been using Delta for years at this point. I’m just glad I don’t have to go through the convoluted side-loading method that requires you to resign the apps using a computer every 7 days anymore in order to use it
I checked out the Delta Emulator over the weekend and was impressed how simple it was. I've been emulating for years but this is really convenient and takes no skill. Emulation is not illegal and is needed for game preservation.
So in other words, Their mad because they haven’t used emulation to their advantage and now someone else is doing it, and their pissed? Maybe if they would adapt and give us what we want they wouldn’t have this issue 😂
Apple going back to 90’s when they allowed PlayStation emulator on Mac Sony freaked it was the current system and Steve even did a presentation bragging about it. This went to court, and the emulator was allowed. But what end up happening was Sony bought the emulator shoveled it. The guy who created it went onto work for Microsoft. 🤣🤷♂️ Curious why you guys haven’t mentioned if the mig cart had an influence on the switch delay
My bet is that all Nintendo needs to do is file suit against Apple and Apple will take it down. Apple just needs cover for additional anti-trust claims. If they can point to a lawsuit, regardless of the merits, that will give them cover to remove the app (at least that’s my guess)
Emulators are like grey hairs. Pull one and 5 more grows in it's place. Eventually, Nintendo is just going to have a head full of grey hairs from all the stress from this.
I downloaded it - it's good but still have lots of testing to do on it but so far seems good. Nice app when your in a pinch waiting time and need to kill time - but I do still prefer the actual unit. ❤ emulation is great for learning highly recommend
Nintendo have been way to slow to react to this. As some people have said, if they made all these games available to buy for a couple of bucks each I would definitely get in to that but they haven’t. It’s a massive wake up call to Playstation and their old systems back catalogue. If the Roms that people are sourcing from online are derived from someone having purchased the game, provided the person is not making a profit, isn’t it just sharing digital content?
can't do anything about emulation. it would be like record labels being mad at apple for the Apple Music app playing mp3s from a friend. or being mad that VLC can play pirated movies. or that a backpack can be used to take things from a store. lol
All of the emulators that have come out to play these games work perfectly fine on a PC. The games I have purchased and dumped to my PC work with no issue. I think Nintendo was too late in stopping emulation, especially on the Switch.
Honestly that’s Nintendo’s fault for not dropping these games earlier on Switch. People have been asking for this from Nintendo since VC on Wii. If you’re not gonna please the customer someone else will. Delta is satisfying the customer and destroying the excitement Nintendo could have been gave to the buyer.
I’ve always said if nintendo would put out their own versions of old games on mobile they would make hand over fist without having to do much work since emulation technology is already there like it would be so easy to go “hey we’ll sell Pokemon Emerald on mobile for $7.99” and people would buy it
I love it, Nintendo has been pulling crap for years. From trying to sue Blockbuster Video for renting Nintendo games, to trying to cancel content creators that were doing nothing wrong but being fans of Nintendo. This looks good on them and I'm glad that apple is doing it. Nintendo will have a hard time, trying to bully Apple like they have some smaller companies.
the skins make it look really nice!! but i see nothing wrong with emulation at all especially if there's no other way to get the game like look at the ds catalog so many of those games are next to impossible to find and if you do there ungodly expensive.
Delta is quite impressive. Not perfect as its missing some standard key features like saving controller configuration profiles. But the emulation itself seems spot on so far. Glad I grabbed it before Apple/Nintendo take it down
Would love a ps2 emulator, trying to fine tune one on my steam deck. De-interlacing on some games seems to break them. Would love some expert guidance.
For a game to be fun and memorable it doesn't have to have a AAA budget or even that large of a game. But it seems the games industry as a whole has lost the idea of making games fun. Some are too involved and require too much attention to get anything of value out of them. So for those with limited time, let's say, why hop into a game that as soon as you get acclimated or reacquainted with where you left off, your time is up? Some of my most favorite and memorable games are simply arcade style games that don't require hundreds of hours to "100%". As you said, RGT, there does seem to be a certain passion missing from the video game industry and it is reflected in how these massive game companies operate and their products. It's been more or less accepted that these companies are simply far too greedy and too concerned with profits over fun. Hence like you said, there is little competition now. There used to be how many different I don't know, wrestling games to choose from back in the day? Or even football tittles. So part of the cost is in the licensing but only licensing to a select few contracted developers if even more than one. So much is riding on these games nowadays, in the companies opinion, except it's really not, in many cases. The only reason these companies see some of these games as a risk is because they have to appease the shareholders yada yada yada. I'm sorry but if one game doesn't reach an arbitrary number of copies sold and then you have a knee jerk reaction and just close your doors, then you are a horrible company that shouldn't have existed in the first place.

Title: "It's Official: Nintendo Is PISSED"
Video: "I said Nintendo was pissed off about this, and I definitely think they are"
RGT85, the king of Clickbait TH-camrs.
Enjoy it.
All I needed from NSO was the old Pokemon games. Without it, I ain’t paying for that shxt.
Was thinking this when they 1st announced Gameboy games for NSO, but like always disappointed 😮
@@michaelmay9728 Nintendo does everything except give their fans what they want
Noooooo. We just need the games like vc days.
Nintendo reminds me of a company fully dedicated to nurturing karens&Ken's.....
I stopped buying nintendo so long ago As teenager when they took blood out if. Mortal kombat and since then I have yet to purchase there stuff
Yeah, RGT, you helped me realize how easy emulation is... thank you for getting me started 😊
Nintendo can’t sue us all for downloading the app. Just leave us be Nintendo!!
It's so funny seeing these people discover emulators for the first time. My first emulator was also Nesticle 0.42 in 97/98 and SNEmul on my first PC from 96 a pentium 166mhz with 16mb of RAM lol
Is the delta game emulator still on app store. Perhaps a geo ban? Cant find it anywhere.
Please do Advanced tutorials too. Like per game settings, ect. Stuff for users who already have things setup, but need help with the optimization.
What's the best home version of R-Type (classic only. I loved R-Type Final and have Final 2)? TG16?
Does RGT have bone thugs east 1999 bumping in the background?
No. It's Skin Law Abiders West 1990.
Would love some tutorials on how to make my games look good. I love to play my games on emulation, but there's just some games it's really hard on the eyes to play.
I’ve been using Delta for years at this point. I’m just glad I don’t have to go through the convoluted side-loading method that requires you to resign the apps using a computer every 7 days anymore in order to use it
Yes please do a ps2 emulator tutorial. I’d like to know what emulators are best or if you use something like a mini pc to emulate?
Love the idea of showing how emulators work and the benefits of using one. I know nothing about emulation, but now ya got me interested ;)
I’ve been playing Pokémon red and it’s been great. Games like Pokémon that do not require a lot of precise button pressing are great.
I checked out the Delta Emulator over the weekend and was impressed how simple it was. I've been emulating for years but this is really convenient and takes no skill. Emulation is not illegal and is needed for game preservation.
I would love to see more emulation based content on your channel the stuff I've seen so far I have really enjoyed thanks for the videos
So in other words, Their mad because they haven’t used emulation to their advantage and now someone else is doing it, and their pissed? Maybe if they would adapt and give us what we want they wouldn’t have this issue 😂
I mean they are doing it on their switch online the issue is they do put out enough games they do that and they will gain a lot more subs
Hoping for RetroArch and PPSSPP next fingers crossed.
Be sure to use Delta Sync with Dropbox or Drive so you don't lose your saves if the app gets pulled haha
In case you still have the ipa file, back it up as quick as you can. If it vanishes, you’ll have a spare if something happens to it.
Curious why you guys haven’t mentioned if the mig cart had an influence on the switch delay
Pretty sure they have mentioned the mig switch possibly being part of the delay in a previous video
Definitely do more Tutorials RGT! 💪🏾
My bet is that all Nintendo needs to do is file suit against Apple and Apple will take it down. Apple just needs cover for additional anti-trust claims. If they can point to a lawsuit, regardless of the merits, that will give them cover to remove the app (at least that’s my guess)
Also, thanks Nintendo for reminding us of which games to Emulate, appreciate your help
Downloaded it yesterday. Never been that excited for years . connected my ps4 controller and ive been drifting on mario kartDS the whole day
Emulators are like grey hairs.
I didn’t know about delta until you started covering it on the best Nintendo TH-camr Channel ever! Thank you. I love it.
Is there any plug and play devices sold somewhere that has a lot of ps3 ps2 GameCube games installed ?
I’ve always said if nintendo would put out their own versions of old games on mobile they would make hand over fist without having to do much work since emulation technology is already there like it would be so easy to go “hey we’ll sell Pokemon Emerald on mobile for $7.99” and people would buy it
Yes, I would love an emulation tutorial video! I want to get into it but I have no clue on where to get what
Start with the 8-bit and 16-bit systems. They are easiest to setup.
I used to have gba4ios & nds4ios back in the day & it’s officially on the app now as delta, that’s awesome
Nintendo can be pissed off all they want. It’s EU law/EU policy. Which is why Apple is allowing these apps to be available
Nintendo should just release a Nintendo launcher for PC, id buy games from it, actually id rather buy games from it.
the skins make it look really nice!! but i see nothing wrong with emulation at all especially if there's no other way to get the game like look at the ds catalog so many of those games are next to impossible to find and if you do there ungodly expensive.
Delta is quite impressive. Not perfect as its missing some standard key features like saving controller configuration profiles. But the emulation itself seems spot on so far. Glad I grabbed it before Apple/Nintendo take it down
Because those are slow people. 😅😂
Delta app has been a game changer for myself, I never dove into emulation before but it’s awesome !
I liked this video a lot. You make an excellent point about emulation. I have not used an emulator for gaming since 2015 or 2016.
Now your switch emulation video is your #1 video on the channel. Crazy
Would love a ps2 emulator, trying to fine tune one on my steam deck. De-interlacing on some games seems to break them. Would love some expert guidance.
Can you show me how to emulate games on my pc that Delta can’t? GameCube, 3ds, Wii, etc
I'm just getting into Emulating. I'd watch a tutorial covering it all for sure
How old is the person who typed the post on Reddit? That may be a reason they discovered it so late.
Its not a superiority thing, its an "i dont want to half to walk outside cause the green bubble cant wifi txt
It's nice to see how well informed this Nintendo youtuber is on Apple.
