Things you can do to increase the realism level: During speedport, have 5 people on a phone conference all asking for time estimates and progress reports. After every game, create a Visio drawing that meticulously documents every cable run and connection, then delete the file because no one is ever going to open the document again. Right when you are about to finish, have someone flip another card because they changed the design specs, even though you asked repeatedly if they are sure the design is final. After winning, have someone yell at you for an hour saying you obviously plugged the cables in wrong because they don’t see the connection coming up, only for them to suddenly realize they were watching someone else’s game from a different country.
Turn Clickport into Speedport, winner of Clickport must then make the cabling look neat removing all unneeded connections and keeping theirs active. Failure to do so in 2mins forfeits the win.

I find people's legs distracting though lol If they add some kind of curtain to cover them it'd keep my focus on the cast I think it's becuass I see movement up top and down below so it splits my focus

The one issue that people are likely going to face with this game is that Ethernet cables aren't really meant or designed to be plugged and un-plugged over and over, which means the plastic tab that holds the cable in the port is going to snap off after a short while to due fatigue.
@@Angelo-tp3xg That would make it more durable, but take away the tactile feel of something snapping into place which, to me anyway, is half the game's appeal.
@@Brainreaver79 To be fair, you can buy colored ethernet cables from any electronic store for cheap, and they do come in many different colors. Because if someone had figured out how to make an RJ45 (the Ethernet cable plug) not break all the time, they sure haven't shared it with the industry that still just lives with the liability. It probably wouldn't have that nice feel anyway, can't have a piece of plastic clicking without it eventually giving in. Until then, 25cm (or about 10 inches) seems to be one of the standard lengths stores carry, so that should work for this game?
@@KPTG119 Space mostly, the old studio was in a loft and the filming area barely had enough room for people to squeeze in. New studio is larger, can fit a larger gaming table and is easier to sit around.

Myself, I can get 20 connectors for AUD $3, and then 305 meters of CAT6A-rated cable for AUD $219. So from a pure cost-of-materials standpoint, it's probably not too bad? It'd be the hours required to actually cut and terminate all the mini cables that'd be the killer (but that likely goes out the window if it's done by a factory). Or alternatively, I can get just get pre-done 0.25 meter or 0.5 meter cables for AUD $2 a piece. Without lower bulk prices, that doesn't leave much wriggle-room for other game pieces, though (assuming $55 AUD based on a loose conversion from the USD price listed on Kickstarter for Speedport, and the 24 cables that come with that game), but maybe it's doable? Would certainly eat into profit margins, though...

First of all, I have to say I've played the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles NES game, both without the Game Genie and with it. It's equally impossible either way. The one thing you really need the Genie for is health during those swimming sections, because that stupid electric seaweed kills you so quickly... but, if you choose invulnerable, the seaweed stun locks you and you can't move on at all. So. Frustrating. Second, I clapped here at home when Dom got the first Clickport in the history of the world. That achievement is well deserved. Third, Dom's encouraging/disparaging words to himself during Speedport made that part of the video (without it, it's just a bunch of clicking noises, not particularly interesting to watch). Fourth, I almost cried with Blair when she finally won a card. Nice video, guys, well done!
Absolutely agree. I’m the *prime* age for that console (and SNES…both of which I could put my hands on within 30 seconds because they’re in my basement lol) and I’ve literally never heard anyone pronounce it like a whole word.

Very luckily managed to get a copy of bith these games and Speedport has become my most played game in under 2 weeks. Its so addictive.

Absolutely agree. I’m the *prime* age for that console (and SNES…both of which I could put my hands on within 30 seconds because they’re in my basement lol) and I’ve literally never heard anyone pronounce it like a whole word.

to be fair, I had an NES as a kid, but didn't immediately know that they meant because they called it a "Nezz" instead of N-E-S, or at least pronouncing it like "Ness"
It's always nezz and snezz as far as I recall. I don't remember anyone recently saying ennyess or essennyess.

@@richnorman7325 Regional dialects are a thing. I've personally never heard anyone pronounce it with a z until this video.
I only ever heard them pronounced as Ness or N-E-S for the NES, and sness or super nintendo for the SNES.
