Love your export's opinion! Is that true that front-load washers are only supposed to be set on a concrete floor on the ground floor and not on the second floor? My only choice for a washer on the second floor is the top-load one? I loved the LG front load washer, but I had to return it for the excessive vibration and noises. My whole house was echoing with the vibration.
You can have it on the second floor but as you experienced, it could create loud noise and vibration throughout your home during spin cycles (even if installed correctly).

Hi there - good question - if you want to use the same stacking kit we suggest sticking within the Samsung brand when selecting a new washer. Stacking kits are not created equal and don't work across different brands - you may compromise the safety and durability of your laundry set. You can also check your user manual to see if they suggest any other stacking arrangements. Hope that helps!
How many inches do I need to leave on each side/top/behind the stacked washer and dryer? The door is 28" wide and the washing machine is 27" wide, but the door blocks part of the opening, so there is really only 27" open space to get the machines into the laundry closet. There's no space for someone to stand inside the laundry closet. Also, the washing machine door would be on the same side as the laundry room door. The height may be an issue too because the door height is 6'8" and the stacked washer/dryer would be at least 6'6". Would the installer be able to stack the machines, hook them up, and then slide them into the laundry closet with very little wiggle room on the sides and top of the machines? What about space behind the machines for hoses, ducts, cords, pipes, etc.?

Which leads to, why spend less time on items or topics that are needed or recommended? Video can be greatly improved. I learned nothing. My favorite tip, buy everything you need before you get started. LOL!
Great question ItsInTheDetails - Unless you're a very tall person, we don't recommend stacking with a pedestal because it adds 12 inches or more to the height of your set. This makes it very difficult to reach the dryer controls. More importantly, safety becomes a concern since the washer wouldn't be flush/level against a sturdy floor. It is very likely the excessive shaking from the washer could eventually compromise the dryer causing it loosen the stacking kit and tip the unit.

My washer is 56cm x 60cm; would these 4cm be an issue in istalling the kit and a 60cm x 60cm dryer ?
