Elanor's guest house is awesome and I hope we can meet her in the next installment. Big smile from ear to ear on this one! Seeing Inverness brought back special memories of a Mrs. White, a special lady from Inverness who played a special part in my childhood. She lost her husband in the war and came to America as a Nanny. When my father and mother were away working on motion pictures, Mrs. White took care of me and my sister, and having Mrs White as a temporary (and very Scottish) Nanny is one of my fondest childhood memories, and being given a glimpse of her home with two of my favorite travel vloggers was special indeed.
As a Kiwi now living in Inverness, I've lived all over the world, but there's no finer place than the magical Highlands, the people are amazing, the scenery to die for and everything anyone could possibly need lies right here, I love the place.
My absolute favorite place in Scotland! The people are exceedingly friendly and the pubs are always welcoming and fun. It's easy to get bleary-eyed and happy there.
Words cannot describe how much I love you guys! You are the best and most authentic couple on TH-cam and I look forward to seeing every one! Thank you! ❤
Yet another fun video from kindred spirits -- and a couple that seemingly was made for each other. I do almost feel like I have experienced the crawl, myself. Much respect to the two of you for forging ahead on your mission. The music in The Gellions might have kept me there for a good while, derailing the mission. Also, kudos to Alicja's mom for the beautiful sweater (as we Yanks call it). I'm anxious to see the rest of the visit.
Last train from Inverness to Aberdeen is about 9 pm, so having all the live music early is a godsend for all the folk that live down that line. Have to agree that it's a cracking day/night out. Great video as well.
Love this video, I think it is one of your classics. Just watched half of it again. What's not to like about a 'responsible' pub crawl around one of Scotland's less visited cities. Well done, bravo.
Me and my two pals go to Inverness every year to enjoy the music, drink and atmosphere after Christmas in retail. Always a good few nights. 6 hour drive for us from Southport. Well worth it.
Thank you so much for that leap into the distant but happy past. Those months spent in Inverness and the pubs certainly all came flooding back! Congratulations to Alicjias mum for her lovely jumper!
Those good old Scottish pubs are exactly the same as our Irish pubs .... Great craic, brilliant atmosphere with good old Celtic traditional music 🎵🎶🎵🎶 ... Thanks guys!
Fantastic video guy's, thanks, I love the way Alicja matches you Steve, drink for drink, she's a star 🌟, I've been in all those pubs over the years, looking forward to part 2 ❤
as someone born in inverness great seeing someone else's perspective were kinda blessed with the amount of stuff we have for the populationof inverness....a few other places.. stoch & rhye for cocktails or white house... Victorian market behind u at the time u at malt bar does have a new food market and new playback bar has beer pong ...pool..axe throwing all that kinda stuff!
i used to spend a week in Inverness as an auditor from Manchester. from 1972 to '82. loved it! Gellions was my favourite. also loved the Hayloft. happy memories. thank you
Great video 👍loved the guest house, it looked really beautiful in the dark with all the little lights when you got back from the pub crawl, i'd defo stay there if we go to Inverness.
You are a man after my own heart, Steve! I love a dram and try different ones! In moderation these days though, I am 82. Cheers from Australia to you both! Great video…again!
Only watched about 7 min. of this wonderful video of yours, just gotta say how I really enjoy your personalities. Both as individuals and as a couple. Thumbs up to Alicias mum knitting the gorgeous sweater. Steve, stay kind and respectful to your beautiful lovely Alicia. Love and Peace to all from Denmark
Brought back memories as we stayed around the corner across from the Tesco on Young Street. Definitely a quieter area to sleep but a quick walk to the "chaos"! Thanks for the entertainment!
That was brilliant. Quite weird seeing my home City on video. You actually went to pubs I’ve never been in. Can’t wait for part 2. Go Inverness 🏴
Inverness has some fantastic pubs if you are after live music. It’s Very easy to get around the pubs/bars,as there are all in close proximity. Very easy for a pub crawl.Looks like a great night was had by yourselves. Haste ye back
Greetings from Canada, landing in Glasgow in 6 more weeks after almost 40 years away.10 days of pubs, pints n pipers in the highlands will be magic, my gf doesnt realize what she is in for yet❤
Hi Steve and Alicja , what a fantastic day out in Inverness !!!!!! My daughter-in-law was born in Inverness and for years she's been telling me how cool it is in Inverness , NOW I believe her !!!!! Don't ever leave Alicja behind again , she is the STAR OF THE SHOW . Thanks for giving me some really great vids over recent times and love to you both , Mike in Exeter xx
What a fun and enjoyable video. Simply brilliant. Inverness certainly looks to be the place to be on a Saturday night. I loved the music. It took me back to Edinburgh. I lived and worked there when I was in my early 20s. Such fond memories. Your accommodation looked fabulous. What a perfect location, especially for a pub Crawl. Thanks for sharing. I can't stop smiling.
Brilliant effort you pair ! I lived in Cromarty on The Black Isle back in the '70's and The Gellions was always a great bar whenever we came into Inverness.
Such friendly folks. The town is like one big Lauriston pub with music as well. Impossible to not enjoy oneself. Time well spent; I’m happy that you enjoyed it.
Back in the early 90’s, pre kids, myself and now ex wife went to Scotland for a few days with absolutely no agenda apart from starting in Edinburgh and nothing booked with the aim of travelling around a bit. Without doubt my favourite place was Inverness. Such wonderful warm people. As soon as they heard the English accent they were all over us! ‘You must try here, must go there’ etc etc. Plied with drinks 😂. I got very clattered on a combination of single malts 😂. Very very fond memories. Fabulous video.
Glad you guys had a great night out, I was born and raised in Inverness, I moved to Australia in 2006 and have not been home to Inverness in 10 years, hope to get back soon, my wife and I do plan to retire back there eventually.
I love the Scottish Highlands, and Inverness has a special place in my heart. My favourite trips are going there by overnight sleeper train from Euston, breakfast at the Premier Inn overlooking the river, then a bus to the airport and fly back....
Another fab pub crawl with the dynamic duo! Such fun. LOVED Hotananny's, you'd have not got me out of there, fab music & set up. LOVED Alicja's jumper, hats off to Mrs S. LOVED the guest house, what a view & so beautifully decorated! Loved this video, always so great the 2 of you together 😍
Oh this is glorious, the slowly getting tipsy, I’ll look forward to the Scottish breakfast to see if either of you are green about the gills. Love your rapport 👍🏻
Thank-you Steve and Alicja i must admit l enjoyed this video, l did see it when you put it up but l saved it to tonight to watch it as its my Friday night with a couple of beers. had a tear in my eye with the Mac Callum s Pub and the band, my late Father who"s name was Big Johny, mum played that song at his funeral....even my son who was staying over this week heard it and came out...thank-you both once again regards Doc...Stay Safe and cant wait for the next adventure...
I was there in 1978, and what I remember is that the landlady at the inn where I stayed had a very insisting 14 yr old daughter which said she could stay in bed with me if I found it a bit cold, I was there in November.....I was tired, so at 930 the next morning I ws still sleeping, and the 14 yr old came in and said that they would stop serving breakfast soon, and she could help me wash my back in the bath....I told her I'll be right down, and would manage without help... but that girl (I really don't know if she was 14, she looked that way). Her mother , the landlady, was in ways the older version of her daughter. I remember buying a cream cake of sorts, in Inverness, but remember very little of the pubs ( I have visised at least a hundred all over Scotland). Actually, I liked Edinburgh a lot more, also places like Scrabster and Dingwall, the strangest place was Tongue, that was a litle like of a horror movie, not Tongue itself, but the several abandoned villages around it.
Ten pubs! I would be lucky to get past three these days but it looks like you both and the rest of Inverness where having a great time, Take care and stay safe and I look forward to seeing you both in the next exciting instalment, cheers.
Hi there Steve. Im reasonably new to your channel, but love it. As an ex-pat living in Peru for the last 27 years, its great to see Blighty (and beyond) again. Im inspired to maybe get a rail pass for a couple of weeks, if I get to come over. Thanks for your honest and refreshing take on things. Success with all journeys to come.
I really enjoyed my time in Inverness back in 2018. I took the overnight Caledonian Sleeper from London and stayed at a little backpacker hostel next to that castle tavern place you went to and I ate at that place too.
Hi Steve and The Fabulous Alicja! Thanks for much for this latest Video Offering as it is not only entertaining as usual but also helpful for me, as I was planning a trip up to Scotland this summer to explore around on the trains and had thought Inverness would be a great place to base myself to go for day trips East, West and North (After an overnight sleeper) and so great to see what is there for the evening for drinks and food and fun! You are Legends! Really Appreciated!
Fab video. Took me back 22 years when I was "taken out" in Glasgow by a business I was visiting. The next morning I was to be found on a metal bench at Glasgow airport clutching a laptop bag and a bottle of irn bru which I prayed would get me through the flight back to Heathrow. Worst hangover ever. You two are awesome!
Star struck making an appearance in your video “see you later pal” was so lovely to meet you both in The Highlander. Glad you enjoyed your day out in Inverness, you can’t beat it for live music.

Im a contractor and I’ve travelled all over the UK, working in Inverness was the best time ever. The people and the place - priceless
My absolute favorite place in Scotland! The people are exceedingly friendly and the pubs are always welcoming and fun. It's easy to get bleary-eyed and happy there.

Ok, are you two an item? Because you two have incredibly chemistry and you make for the cutest couple in both Scotland and Poland.
Thank you so much for that leap into the distant but happy past. Those months spent in Inverness and the pubs certainly all came flooding back! Congratulations to Alicjias mum for her lovely jumper!

Looks like an epic night out! So much live music and even Steve singing a bit of Del Amitri!
What fun. You two are such a lovely couple. And that guest house is just wonderful.
I’ve never been north of Glasgow and Edinburgh but I do love the sound of the pipes.
Inverness is always good craic. I miss it a lot, so its good to see you both enjoying it.

Thank you for another fantastic video, Inverness looks like a fantastic place to visit
Thank you for being such a brilliant advert for us here in the Highlands....so glad you both enjoyed yourselves so much....❤xx
Inverness looks a really vibrant little city, I really must visit it again. I don't remember it being like this in the 70s. Thanks for showing us.
I think Inverness only picked itself up in the last 20 years. Before that, it was a joyless Wee Free stronghold.
@@perolden Aye, the Clearances emptied a lot of the Highlands.
Ten pubs! I would be lucky to get past three these days but it looks like you both and the rest of Inverness where having a great time, Take care and stay safe and I look forward to seeing you both in the next exciting instalment, cheers.
We had a fantastic night in the Castle Tavern some years ago. Nice to see it is still the same.
Great video as usual. I am a bit behind on your videos so I am trying to binge watch them over a couple of days. Alicja is such a star too!
these are my favourite videos of yours that are in Scotland pub crawls are class
Absolutely brilliant vlog. You two are so natural and very entertaining. Thanks for your hard work pub crawling ! 😂

Ardbeg is an Islay malt. My hubby used to work there, we lived at Lagavulin, then Port Ellen and finally Laphroaig.
Ardbeg is the peatiest of all malts. I prefer more subtle Islay malts. But each to their own.
Port Ellen is reopening as I'm sure you know 😊😊
I am supremely jealous!
Brilliant! 10 pubs I’d be in a coma looking forward to part 2 now.
You always have fun, even when you're not having fun! Thanks for sharing places for me to go when I next visit!
I visited Inverness a couple of weeks ago from the states. I spent 10 days in the UK and loved it. The Malt Room was fantastic. Cheers
