Gacharic spin forever 🔥
Great reaction to one of my favorites bands. Yes, GS should have a larger following but they have decided to not follow a trend but blaze their own path so maybe not everyone's cup of tea. They have the ability to put a variety of genres into their songwriting blender and somehow these women make it work. Of course the fact that all of them are extremely talented musicians is certainly a factor. GS is also one of those bands that is better live since the energy of their live shows is off the charts. Here is a couple of recommendations: *Gacharic Spin - I wish I (Official Live Video) in 豊洲PIT (Lyrics in English)* and *【Live】Gacharic Spin「TAMASHII」2019*
The band has a big following in Japan so YT subs is a little misleading - though having said that they've gone from about 45k to almost 70k since this album came out a little over a year ago, so a broader audience is growing.
Another great one, the ladies are even more awesome live. Fun fact, 4 members of Gacharic Spin will team up with vocalist Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus (you haven't heard them yet but I am sure you will at some point) to form their band Doll$boxx. They put out an album few years ago, and it looks like they are going to get together again towards the end of the year.
The band actually asked for people to upload their reactions to this song when it was released and then they selected which of them they liked the most. TH-cam not always the major vehicle for Japanese bands - some lean more heavily on the clock sounding one, or other Japanese platforms. So sometimes a bands popularity is skewed by looking mainly at YT numbers. Having said that - most international fans do discover Gachapin through YT, and I'm sure they'd love a bigger following.
This song uses 5 children's tales to express the moral of this song.
Do you notice the switching of drummers? Hana, the band's original drummer has moved to guitar....but on this song she's back on drums for the last half. Love Yuri, the new drummer who wasn't on the Mindset video because she was on maturity leave.
Yuri is a badass drummer.

Another song of theirs that deals with mental health is called "I Wish I " . definitely check it out...I think you will be quite surprised . there is a live version with subs .
If you guys want to checkout some oldschool Gacharic Spin checkout "Lock on" it features their original singer Armmy who sadly passed away. They are so important to the scene and its only 10k from reaching 1 million views so it would be so cool if we could get it there.
Yeah! Arrmy was great and had a fantastic charisma. A totally different vibe compared to newer Gacharic spin. But both new and old Gacharic Spin is a great😀

They're not on my Top 5 essential J-rock list, only because they're on the I don't know WTF this is, but it kicks a$$ list.
Unsurprisingly, they are the only group on this list. Funk, jazz, disco, pop, very unique yet kinda familiar sound. I dig it!

I hope you get around to Gacharic Spin’s “I Wish I”. The official live with subtitles version. The MV is great…but, the lyrics are essential to get the most out of this song.
