Both of you guys are great at fishing. Man im stopping in on sebadtian on my way down the keys. Lol vic gets out fished again. Joey is so in tune with that water. Thats the difference.
Hi! Love your videos! Just wanted to say you (or anyone reading this) should try it whole. Score the skin and season with salt and pepper and bake it... soooooo delicious and the meat is moist and flavorful. Also try with a side of diced tomatoes in patis (fish sauce)
Wabasso bridge is a pretty good spot for pompano this time of year too! It treated me pretty well with a 19 Inch pompano a couple years ago when I was living down there for the winter.
As soon as I saw this I clicked on Joey's video instead because his videos are way more true to most of our lives..don't take it the wrong way but I'm team Joey for sure!
Hi Victor Michael here I wanna start off by saying fabulous fishing video man.. Also want to say thank you for something or something you actually listen to people. And that is very unique in these times take care be safe.
I think, know I know that's one of the best if not the best fish on the beach. It taste like butter is in the flesh I can't wait til the spring run in Ormond beach!
Hey Vic. I miss your videos because I can't turn the bell on for notifications so maybe set your channel to not for kids and you will grow massively. Keep up the good work.!
You gotta stop with the "west coast" references without saying "Florida" because I keep getting excited that y'all are coming out here for some Pacific coast fishing! Great video that shows the true frustration of pompano fishing
Thats wild. Looks like they barely fight. I guess it could just be the rod setups you guys are using. But on hatteras we caught a couple 3 pounders and they fought ridiculously hard. Probably hardest fighting fish for their size that ive ever caught.
I used to live in fort Lauderdale when I was younger and everytime I watch one of these videos I realize how close I was to so much insane fishing and that really makes me feel I missed out greatly lol. Now I'm stuck in BC Canada on the west coast clubbing salmon and massive lingcod, but all I want is Mahi and pompino lol!!!
Hey victor, I’m going to Florida for Christmas break and I’m bringing my fishing equipment to Florida too. First time fishing there and I don’t know what I should target, we’re to go and what to use. I’m a New York fisherman and I don’t mind having to wait for a bite, just like to know that I’m going to catch something that I can bring home to my family. Thanks
Beautiful video!!! Glad to see you. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. Hope I'll be there in a few weeks or so. Gonna try the keys to work and survive. (Hopefully) I LOVE fish and fishing. Maybe Joey will show me the way and help me out.(?)
The reason I started eating pompano was because of you lol. Here in NJ the local supermarket always has pompano for sale for like 3.99 per pound and I get them filet and I grill them some seasoning and coat with olive oil and there perfect never sticks to the grill
Every time I go pompano fishing with my buddy he slays them and I may get a few bites or catch one or two but hmu buddy will absolutely kill them using the same exact tackle, same exact bait and same exact gears as far as rods and reals and fishing line/leaders. We even cast the same distances it's so weird. And then when I go with a different buddy or my ol'lady I catch all the pomps while they get nothing or very little and again using all the same bait and gear the same way. I thought I was the only person with this weird issue it's good to know I'm not alone in this phenomenon?!?!?!?!?!!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
@@desmondsmith521 its my custom logo bro I made it. You gotta go to ur youtube channel and edit channel and post ur picture you want as your thumbnail. Not the app but the actual webpage
Just fillet the pompano, no gutting required. As for the best way to get from ocean to dinner table, I prefer a helicopter because that'd be cool😎 lol.
Hey victor have u ever heard of fish gum it’s a synthetic bait just like fish bites and it is designed for pompano maybe you should check it out there are big varieties
I think why joey was getting all the pompano and you'll wasnt is because there was some white working water that was coming off the sand bank.. in south Africa we always get them fishing the white working water infront or behind or directly on the sand bank if its not to shallow.. they feed on the sand fleas and so on and feel comfortable feeding" when the water is to clear they dont just feed that well and are very spookish I think👍
I do, however I was kind of joking. I'm sure you'd have a much better time with someone who has a boat. I'm a big fan of Idaho. Went whitewater rafting down the Salmon River (Middlefork and the Main) once, life-changing!
You're lucky to have connections like Joey. Soon as word gets out about a bite, the entire beach will be locked up. Already happened in most of my local areas. Hopefully he keeps that part of the beach to himself (and people he knows) for awhile. P.s, not denying/excluding anyone from going pompano fishing. Just saying that there is literally thousands of miles of coastline and fish will bite in more than one spot.
dont use fish bites or fish gum because they contain a woven fabric inside which helps it stay on the hook better, however it will kill the undersized popano because it will bock their guts
Glad you had a good time in the Keys. Next time come down a little further south. Epic bite inshore and offshore now. Summerland to KW. Love the channel 💪👍
Yeah, I thought the same too but I think he means 'From the Beach' (in Florida obviously). There are more expensive fish out there: grouper, mahi, marlin, snapper etc etc
Your fishing gear is fantastic.
I loved your fishing, congratulations.
Here in Brazil we also love pompano fishing.👍🎣😊
hug!
Big fan of Joeys channel. Met him at the inlet a couple years ago and he couldnt have been nicer. Great vid Vik!

Got an +1 on the push to 100k, Best of luck @joey!!!!
Joey is one of the most badass east coast fishermen I've ever seen on youtube. Both of your videos are amazing. -Support from the west coast!

Vic, Very cool recipe with the sauce and such.
I wish you both a Happy Holiday Season and please stay safe.
Your camera depth of field and focus in the kitchen are looking A+
Fried chunks with vinegar and fish sauce / chili and garlic all day, this look good too!

When he first said pop it in the microwave my heart sunk. Then I realized it was just to keep it warm what a relief.

Lose to a dude with a larger rod... A story as old as time itself.

Great Vid Vik!! I was on Pompano Beach, Using a Pompano Rig, Fishing for a Pompano and caught a Margate!! lol

Location on the shore is everything he was where the water was flowing in and out in the trough that’s the difference take care
Another great video Vic, you all be safe and healthy and keep the video's coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got to get out there soon. Been looking forward for the pompano bite to come back.
Capers and gravy
Wow guys, such a nice day a fish!
Question. Do you think I could catch these same Pomps in New Smyrna or South Daytona?
Tat oops so good!

That looks so good. I need to try this!

Just subscribed to Joey Antonelli
:)
Great day of fishing on the beach it was nice of Joey to share always love you guys recipes I do use great job 👍🇧🇸
What kind of rod and reel does Joey use ? and what time of day is this ?
Victor buy your capers from Costco. A massive jar of them for 6$. Way better than spending 2-3 for that small bottle.
Looks like a nice day out brotha..
Good fishing as allways 🎣🎣🙏🔥
Do you have a iPhone

Is it necessary to gut Pompano? And what is the best way to get the Pompano from the ocean to the dinner plate?
Just fillet the pompano, no gutting required.
As for the best way to get from ocean to dinner table, I prefer a helicopter because that'd be cool😎 lol.
@@nicksflixworld lol thanks
Can they be caught on the west side of Florida? Like St. Pete or Clearwater area?
Try the Madeira beach/John’s pass area 🔥🔥
@@aleckulczycki972 Thanks! 💪🏻

Hey victor have u ever heard of fish gum it’s a synthetic bait just like fish bites and it is designed for pompano maybe you should check it out there are big varieties
And btw fish bites is very good as well today were are leaving the beach and left with 8 nice pomp biggest were 2 16”inch pomp’s

im coming to fish with you from Idaho. I will return the favor with some big game hunting or some steelhead/salmon fishing.
I'll take that trade if Viktor doesn't 🙋♂️
@@robrotondo4881 you live in south FL?

You need to get the sinker guy spuniks they are the best
Glad you had a good time in the Keys. Next time come down a little further south. Epic bite inshore and offshore now. Summerland to KW.

Wow that looked absolutely amazing!
Nice video victor. Keep it up
The first thing I do when I click on his videos is like
Hey vik! Do you know if pompano are at the beach in North Carolina during the summer? I’m going down next summer and want to catch some new fish.
bru since when has 10 per lb fish exspensive. On the west coast here in cali, seabass goes for like 25-30 per lb
Yeah, I thought the same too but I think he means 'From the Beach' (in Florida obviously). There are more expensive fish out there: grouper, mahi, marlin, snapper etc etc
Thats the price they get sold to the market for, to the customer its usually double.
Raw Pompano (flash freeze) dipped on Ponzu 🤤
What beaches are good for catching pompano?
Trying to catch some pompano I just don't know what beach..maybe Jupiter inlet??
When are you both going to get married
Dude why dont you manage a restaurant ??
Supp from IRAN
