We're still in Tokyo, Japan and today we're visiting one of the most famous places for street food, Tsukiji Market. This is where you need to come for both fish and street food when you're visiting Tokyo. It's full of stands, restaurants and kiosks selling all sorts of different types of Japanese food.
We've also met up with our friends Blake ( / blakemichael14 ) and Ariel ( / arielmullen ) to help us eat!
    At Tsukiji Market we try:
    Tamagoyaki (sweet egg omelette)
    Wagyu with uni (sea urchin)
Mochi (strawberry, custard, and black sesame)
Ichigo ame (strawberry candy on a stick)
    White Strawberries
Fresh Strawberry with soft serve ice cream
Later in the day we head back to our neighbourhood of Akasaka where we go for some ramen at Kyushu Jangara Akasaka. Here with have Tonkotsu Ramen with garlic oil and Miso Tonkotsu Ramen.

Welcome to Japan!I know you've visited Osaka and Tokyo. I think Kyoto is a must destination for Westerners travelling in Japan. Above all, Kiyomizudera (temple), Kinkakuji (temple), and Arashiyama in Kyoto. Although Kyoto is often crowded with travellers, if you avoid cherry blossom season and red leaves season and Saturdays and Sundays and other holidays, much less crowd. I also recommend you to visit Hakone, Takayama City and Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture, Nara, Mt. Fuji, Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima.

You have Okinawa which is Japan's version of Hawaii and Hokkaido which is a winter wonderland during the winter especially during the snow festival. Some other places are in rural areas like the Japanese alps or Hakone which is south of Tokyo. There are just too many places to mention.

Tsukiji Market is the largest fish market in the world, and the one place I had sushi for breakfast! I was looking forward to seeing you try sushi at this market, since that is what it is famous for. Hope you did off camera. The Ramen scene made my mouth water though!

Glad you guys enjoyed Japan. Please come back in another season! ①Tsukiji closes early because they open early in the morning. It was the market for professionals like restaurant owners, so they have to sell food the restaurants use that day. ②Usually, tamagoyaki (Japanese omlet) is made from eggs, dashi (bonito broth, not miso. Miso is made out of soy beans), sugar, salt, and soy sauce. Some people use mirin (sweet sake) for rich taste and glaze, and potato starch to maintain shape. Hope you enjoy other things next time you come😊

Respectfully saying this but please do proper research before visiting the country or place. You can get a nicer experience if you go to Tsukiji market in the morning. But please especially the proper etiquette you should be doing like not sticking your chopsticks into the bowl or talking too loudly in such a small place.

Ok this my straight question to you my dear Delightful Travellers. Which city in Japan, is/was the best on cost/food/sightings/attractions/transportation speaking, in your expert opinion? TIA.

    • @onsendeyukkurishitai
      @onsendeyukkurishitai ปีที่แล้ว

Depends on what you expect and when you come. For example, if you want to visit city side and see sakura, go to Tokyo in spring. If you want to swim and feel exotic, go to Okinawa in summer. If you want to visit traditional Japan and see colorful leaves, go to Kyoto in autumn. If you want to ski and eat fresh seafood, go to Hokkaido in winter. That doesn't mean that you can't expect other features in one; ex)Tokyo has a lot of parks and shirines/temples full of nature. My personal favorite is Kanazawa in Ishikawa. If you don't mind taking bath with strangers in naked, go there in winter for onsen (hot springs) and eat seafood. What do you wanna do?
