I am Dutch myself and usualy pretty good in recognizing all sorts and kinds of accents even the Dutch accent in a Dutchie speaking a foreign language. To be honest I did not recognise the Dutch accent this time. Quite surprised she's a Dutchie. So I was wondering if you where refering to a Dutch accent when you said: the accent or if you where reffering to one of the english accents she was mimicing? And if you did recognise the Dutch accent I really want to know what gave her away! Maybe I might be able to figure it out if I listened to this song a couple of times more, but the music isn't really my cup of tea.
I've seen a few ppl who have sai dthey hadn't heard her accent which I find odd lol. She has quite a thick accent, it's thicker whme she's talking as singing vowels etc usually push the accent closer to an American one or sometimes more English. The way she says certain words make it very obvious she isn't a native speaker. Her enunciation is good and she's working on her pronunciation but that slight accent you hear is a more subtle version of her accent when speaking. I'm sorry lmao I dunno how to properly explain what I hear 😅😭
its not surprising to make the video as simple as possible, for more than one reason first it matches the lyrics an second there are no piles of money (yet) to make a video hollywood style , and like i said this song dont ask for more, they do a great job with that mirror and wiping that make up off of her face. Look all her videos at her own you tube chanel theire all very simple.

I loved pink cover - I feel DM works too hard on the many - many vocal breaks and appears to sing all words with her mouth partially (always) open which I find confusing to watch She is very talented but I prefer pink cover best :-) All the best
