You knew very little of her, yet you were blown away and smiling throughout the entire performance. Really amazing to see someone’s first time impression of her. That light is what she gave to everyone, she will forever be missed. Thank you for this video!
So so exhilarating to see people from all over enjoy and appreciate Selena’s talent and brilliant performance. I’m a Mexican American from Texas (like Selena) and she’s our crown jewel.
My bros and I back in the day would hang out in the backyard, as we were a bunch of metalheads. A local park venue in one of the poorest neighborhoods in San Antonio, Texas would throw shows on weekends. This was before the city imposed noise ordinances. On any given Saturday night we could hear bands playing. One night we heard Selena playing, at this point she was already huge and doing stadiums shows. We would be like, "Why is she still playing that dump?" She played these venues in part because she never forgot her fans. It was these smaller venues and audiences that propelled her get to the top. You see you have Queen Elizabeth and we have our own Reina, Selena! We'll never forget you! You're unforgettable!
Selena was and is quite famous at that time on that video it was her last live performance sadly, she was at that time as famous as Madonna, they used to call her the Texano/Mexican Madonna and because of Selena, she put all the Latin singers of today on the map, today if she was alive, she would be so so much bigger. I am from Portugal, live in UK for over 20 years and back then in 1994/95 I used to listen to her songs in the Carnival festival in the summer in Portugal, that's how big she was, I was and I am to this day a huge fan of Selena. Selena was real, for the people, she was unique and adored her fans, her fans were everything for her. Her voice was real no Auto-Tune all real. She was a real person, so sad she's gone, shy of turning 24. Long live Selena xx
This was her last big performance, her last televised was March 8 1995 on the padrisimo show and after that I believe she had another one I think March 11 1995 I could be wrong but her actual last performance was March 19 1995 in Bryan Texas at a club called denim and diamonds she wore that cute green outfit with the green skirt she looked beautiful. I did know she was supposed to have a concert April 1 1995 but sadly she was already dead so sad
This was in February of 1995. She was killed the very next month by her fan club president after it was found out that she had been stealing from Selena and Selena confronted her about it. I hope you react to more of her. There's a best live vocals compilation of her. She was murdered half way through recording her first english album so unfortunately there aren't any clips of her singing any of those songs live.
Selena and Mariah Carey are two artist that God took his time with. They have a God given talent 🙌🏼 Selena will live forever & a million and continue to inspire brown girls & boys everywhere.
Dreamy I love both of them Mariah said it was so sad to hear about Selena’s death even though she didn’t know her personally there is a clip of her talking about it.
Im from the UK and I remember growing up wishing I was Mexican because of Selena. She was flawless. Her voice and music was so good, brilliant dancing, really nice outfits, so gorgeous and in all the interviews I’ve seen her in she seemed so down to earth too with a great sense of humour. I still listen to her music now! Always wonder what her music would be like if she was still around today
I wasn’t even born when she was around, but I cry about what happened to her, that’s how you know she was a very special soul. She’s also encouraged me into learning Spanish, I absolutely love her. Te Amo Selena ❤️🌹
If you only new her like we Latinos do . Her way of dancing .... her voice her music... she new how to get a crowd going. She is so well remembered especially here in Texas. Her Legacy lives on
Thank you so much for reviewing her! She’s so beloved in Texas and across the United States! She was the whole package. Beauty, kindness, down to earth, and that voice! If you haven’t seen the movie with JLo check it out! It’s a little slice of Southeast Texas and the life of one of our stars!
One of the saddest films I’ve ever seen. It was beautiful. So tragic I sobbed still sob thinking about it. She was pure magic. She just had everything to live for. X
Yes for Selena! Question though, why are there so many reactions to this performance or just Selena in general within the past month? I love all of the reactions, I’m just curious.
Brandon J she’s become famous again with a whole new generation. Though here in Texas she has never lost that fame. She’s an idol to most of us. She never let money or fame get to her head. She didn’t live in nice houses, and drive a bunch of nice cars. She was as humble as could be, and always gave back to her community. She gave her soul to everyone.
Rose Mary Besu Right? She’s always been huge and you could always find a reaction to her if you searched for it, but now there are tons of reactions to this specific performance and performances from this concert that keep popping up. I’m happy to see people discover or revisit her and love her the way we all do. She was phenomenal.
Netflix just released the trailer to their series which will be covering her life.. so I guess there’s been a renewed resurgence of her popularity with the new generation
Girrrrrrrrrl!!!!!! Selena is a legend! I'm from West Texas myself and a natural born TEJANA with a figure just like her! I can sing very beautifully as well. I used to perform for my school's Cinco de Mayo shows! 🇨🇱🤘❤️❤️❤️! Thank you for finally covering Selena ❤️. It made me cry 😭. She was one hell of a woman and performer!!!! I was 5 years old when she was killed and I cried like a baby. I ALWAYS prayed to God to have a big butt like her and a killer voice! Prayers answered 🙏. Amen to that lol! Anyhow, love from West Texas 🇨🇱❤️❤️❤️❤️
She has been my favorite since before she passed away. I will always love Selena y Los Dinos. I remember watching this on tv. The band as a whole was phenomenal. And she always gave credit to them. "They write the songs, I just sing them."
The effect that this women had on you is the reason we all love her! Selena Quintanilla is THE QUEEN! I remember being a little girl and just being mesmerized
Being a tejana, this makes me so proud. She paved the road for a lot of our Latino artists. She is definitely still our queen after death. ¡que viva la reina de la cumbia!
OMG! YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!! I’m so happy you did this!!! She is and will always be loved deeply. Natural talent, no earpieces, no auto tune, no of that. And yes, she tossed her earring and had a band-aid on her broken nail lol! Awesome!
YES!!! Selena is one of the most legendary & one of the most famous people here in the United States. It’s difficult to even fathom how huge her star would have grown if her life hadn’t been cut short! To this day, there are still entire festivals celebrating her.
What beautiful memories. My fiancé and me had the pleasure of catching her show in early 1995 in Lake Tahoe, California. Emilio Navaira was the opening group. Tragically, both artists have left us. I was gobsmacked hearing a Brit review Selena. We’ll done!!! You aced it!
You’re so freaking wholesome ❤️ Thank you for being respectful, I know in the UK people can be somewhat insensitive to Mexicans (I’m speaking from experience) and this was so refreshing. We appreciate you ❤️❤️
To Vocal Coach; thank you for the excellent review of Selena's disco medley; you mentioned at one point how her voice cracked; I'm sure you are aware that singing and dancing at the same time is exceedingly difficult, there is no lip syncing here, no auto tune, etc, it's all live, Selena was in excellent shape and never missed a beat, I'm old enough to have seen all the best and I've never seen anyone with stage presence like Selena.
You should check out her other performances. She started singing Spanish before she understood anything about it. She is the reason I sing still today. She was what I wanted to be like when I grew up and I'm working on it. Rip selena
The Honest Vocal Coach Yes!!! Thank God! I’ve been waiting for this moment !!!! You finally reacted to the late, great Selena ... what a great reaction you did !!!!! Loved how you distinguished that Selena was vocalizing with broad vocals for the entire disco medley. Her voice was truly one of a kind .... and as for her figure, we all know that she worked for it. She made eating any food look that easy to pull off, especially pizza since that was her all time favorite. Ugh ... what a beautiful human being and outstanding, iconic singer and performer she established herself as. May Selena Rest In Peace .... she’s gone but never forgotten. Please react to her even more ... I think it’s pretty safe to say that this will be wanted due to popular demand. Thanks again !!! 🌸🌸🌸😉😉😜😜
This was unexpected!!! I’m so happy you reacted to her she was so talented!!!!! Before she died she was going to start taking vocal lessons she did so well for not being trained how to sing by a professional!
Angela M. I think he did but he wasn’t a professional but he was in a band himself. I mean she didn’t take vocal lessons from a teacher or dance lessons she wasn’t taught by a paid professional
Born in Monterrey, Mexico and grew up in Laredo, Texas....... this woman is a legend thru the Valley (El Paso to Brownsville) where she started and next watching an English coach decoding her style. It is an honor and an example that good music can be done. Her passion for the fans was unlimited. She is a diva, she is Selena. We miss her but only God knows why she is heaven. Maybe she is bringing smiles over there too! I never get tired of this Houston, TX concert. Saludos a todos raza!
I was hoping you would one day react to Queen Selena. Your technical views combined with seeing her magic for the first time is fantastic. Thank you and welcome to her Queendom. Check out the rest of her performances singing her original music for some of her best vocals.
I remember her so well. So sweet, so kind. Her voice was amazing! A God given talent! Like no other! We were the same age. I often wonder how someone could be so evil and take this beautiful person from the world. Heartbreaking 😞🌹
Love her so much and miss her. I saw her once in Reynosa, Mexico's Palenque. OMG! She was such an iconic woman. La reyna de la cumbia Tejana. As curious fact, she loved to design her own costumes.
We couldn’t hear some of the things you were saying sadly but I loved your reaction!! I love when people that don’t know anything about Selena react to her videos because the reactions feel more natural. Please do more Selena

Selena was the whole package. Her voice is so beautiful.
She had great lung capacity singing "and" some rigourous dancing. !!! Thank you, for the memory of Selena
SweetMiMiDoll Selena and Madonna 💕 Both my Idols and Queens 👑❤️
This was her last big performance, her last televised was March 8 1995 on the padrisimo show and after that I believe she had another one I think March 11 1995 I could be wrong but her actual last performance was March 19 1995 in Bryan Texas at a club called denim and diamonds she wore that cute green outfit with the green skirt she looked beautiful. I did know she was supposed to have a concert April 1 1995 but sadly she was already dead so sad
They called her the Mexican Madonna which elevated the poor singing Madonna and diminished Selena somewhat.
it wasn’t her last performance. geez.
it wasn’t her last performance. geez.
She was an award winning star in spanish. She was a legend
Wendy Risoli, she has a Grammy as well!
They have a God given talent 🙌🏼
Selena will live forever & a million and continue to inspire brown girls & boys everywhere.
Dreamy I love both of them Mariah said it was so sad to hear about Selena’s death even though she didn’t know her personally there is a clip of her talking about it.
Dreamy yaasss boo! Selena and Mariah are my absolute top fav artist of all time. True talents
Amen to that Dreamy! Lots of extra time blessing their vocal cords with magic and love!
@E T Dahling nobody tops Mariah i'm sorry
Don't forget whitney
Im from the UK and I remember growing up wishing I was Mexican because of Selena. She was flawless. Her voice and music was so good, brilliant dancing, really nice outfits, so gorgeous and in all the interviews I’ve seen her in she seemed so down to earth too with a great sense of humour. I still listen to her music now! Always wonder what her music would be like if she was still around today
She has a insane body I never seen another woman like her
Selena was one of the best live performers of our time💕
I love how Georgina smiled at the audience's reaction to Selena's greeting them!
I wasn’t even born when she was around, but I cry about what happened to her, that’s how you know she was a very special soul. She’s also encouraged me into learning Spanish, I absolutely love her.
Te Amo Selena ❤️🌹
When you smiled as soon as she started performing....yup, selena had that effect on people 😊
If you only new her like we Latinos do .
Brandon J me too. She’s been legend for years, but people really start reacting to her, especially this performance like non-stop. I’m curious too
Probably Netflix hyping up the new series about Selena.
Selena's life story is interesting and sad, she was a true talent Jennifer Lopez covered her life story in the 90's xx
Netflix is also putting out a series soon about Selena.
Chritian Serratos will play her in a Netflix special!!
Thank you for giving a reaction! Selena means so much to Mexican-Americans! 💙
Selena had everything, she had the whole package, beautiful inside and out, talented singer and a great entertainer!
Looks like Selena put a smile on you face just like she did for us. She is missed so much and still very much loved.
I’m here in New Mexico, and where I live Selena is like our Queen, so to see a Brit enjoying her the way we have for decades is so heart warming!!!
505!
Can’t believe she died at 23 :(
A tragedy
Selena ( April 16th, 1971 - March 31st, 1995 )
Only the good die young 😢
⚘
Wow, what talent, she literally could with any musical genre: Texan, rancheras, pop, disco! I can't imagine how big it would be today.... 😔🌹
The real thing
Texas is a genre? lmao
TEXAN,yes
Or TEJANO,same thing
I always have this huge stupid smile everytime I watch Selena. shes contagious
I saw her live several times when I lived in Texas and I cried when it was reported that she was murdered. She had such a sweet light about her!
Being a tejana, this makes me so proud. She paved the road for a lot of our Latino artists. She is definitely still our queen after death. ¡que viva la reina de la cumbia!
I m so glad that she finally did a Selena Vocal Reaction because Selena was so good. I love Selena
Don´t worry. We all can´t help "butt" look LOL
I've been commenting a lot of times for you to react on her disco medley my goodness. Thanks Georgina
Wow mam it brings my people joy to see a lady from UK reacting to selena to disco melody
I love her so much and now I have to go watch the movie again!😍😭
There's always something I disagree with with this Vocal Reactor.
Where can I watch the movie
What beautiful memories. My fiancé and me had the pleasure of catching her show in early 1995 in Lake Tahoe, California. Emilio Navaira was the opening group. Tragically, both artists have left us. I was gobsmacked hearing a Brit review Selena. We’ll done!!! You aced it!
She could have become one of the biggest artist ever
You’re so freaking wholesome ❤️
Thank you for being respectful, I know in the UK people can be somewhat insensitive to Mexicans (I’m speaking from experience) and this was so refreshing.
Rip selena
Selena #LatinIcon love her so much! She was already an 👼 angel on Earth . May she rest in peace.
I love seeing the effect she had on everyone. Gone way too soon. RIP Selena🌹
Selena taught all your faves how to do it. She’s the blueprint.
This was unexpected!!! I’m so happy you reacted to her she was so talented!!!!! Before she died she was going to start taking vocal lessons she did so well for not being trained how to sing by a professional!
Didn't her dad kind of teach her? I always thought he was like her vocal coach for some reason
Angela M. I think he did but he wasn’t a professional but he was in a band himself. I mean she didn’t take vocal lessons from a teacher or dance lessons she wasn’t taught by a paid professional
Angela M. No the dad was the one that teach her spanish
Vocal lessons? Selena's voice is right up there with Mariah and Whitney.
Love Selena so much and happy to see someone else enjoy her music!
Omg Im in tears as someone whose home is San Antonio, TX Selena is a big deal here. Im so happy to have people be introduced to her.
More SELENA PLEASSEE! ❤️ a QUEEN 🌹
Every time I watch her perform I tear up. She was ahhhmazing!
Omg I can't believe you reacted to SELENA!! 😭😭😭
Not many can sing and dance like she did and sound so perfect. I really wish she was still here..💞💞
She's such a legend, thank your for react to this
When I saw she was watching disco melody I was like oooo girl you are gonna be amazed👀😂Selena was so amazing not only singing but her personality as well. R.I.P to the Queen of tejanos. 👑🥀❤️
@10:15 is my favorite part. When she goes “they said it on the air.” I mean i love the whole thing.
Selena was her own thing, and we loved her for it
I wish she was still alive 😭😭😭 I love you Selena 💜🖤
We still miss her! 😢 Thanks for reviewing her Live at the Last Concert video.
Shes so amazing, her presence, her dance, her voice, and her art. Such an icon
So thankful that I was able to see Selena in concert three times back in the 90's! The last time was 3 months before she was murdered.... Nuestra Reina Tejana Para Siempre!!! Miss her so much :'(
