I think I am going to have to grab one of these. I already have the mower, blower and snow blower so plenty of batteries. Thanks I had no idea this had come out!
Excellent instructional video. Lots of applications, including photography! I have the 5AH for my 650CFM blower, so this is a great additional application for that. The outdoor part of your video is really amazing performance!
I recently picked up a ST1510T trimmer with the Powerload feature, which is hands down the best best innovation to come to string trimmers. Had been looking at other brands to upgrade from my Ryobi 18v single string trimmer, and was sold by GO's power (which this has a ton of) and build quality. Now that I'm in the ecosystem, definitely looking at some of their other tools, including this light, which seems to continue their standard for high quality, innovative products. The controls are really nice, especially the memory function and being able to adjust both the light output and the panels doing the lighting. I really like the various mounting and hanging options it gives you, with not one, but two tripod mounts.
According to the manual, with a 5.0Ah battery this puts out 600 lm for 36h or theoretically 10,000 lm for 3 hours. Theoretically as the manual also states that in higher ambient temperatures it could drop out of boost mode (10,000 lm) to Level 5 (6,400 lm).
@@MegaApe12345 I went a different route after doing some research, I bought other ones, and they are amazing. I bought two of the Milwaukee M18 4,500 lumen portable floodlights. They are on sale at Home Depot online for $199 and come with two batteries and a charger. I connected both of them out front and it’s plenty of light. You also have the option to connect them with a power cord versus the EGO only being battery operated.
That's actually a really good price for that light it's the batteries that are going to crack your head... if you already have batteries then this light is a no-brainer 1:40.. I have 10000 Lumen and 15000 Lumen lights... their corded, but plenty of people put out single lights with that much Lumen... I'm not sure about cordless...I have three Ridgid panel lights on a tripod that probably puts out close to 10000 lumens... but in a nice little package and cordless to boot this is pretty nice...👈 10:00... those orange wrenches stacked on your pegboard..By the DeWalt bandsaw...are those from Motion Raceworks?.. did you review those?.. what are they...thanks TJ!!! LET'S GO..,🏁
I returned this back to Lowe’s because their batteries are starting to die on me. They need to give me a better reason to reinvest in their battery system and I don’t think they are doing a good job at Lowe’s as far as pricing goes.
How old are your batteries? It sucks to have bad batteries. I have been fortunate as I have a bunch of batteries that are 5 yrs old or newer for all my tools. I use this light when cleaning up in poorly lit back yard after parties. I love this light.
I just got it yesterday, there is no way this light is worth 268 with tax in Canada, the lock position does not hold tight, it’s is all plastic, if this thing falls I’m sure it will break, not built like a quality tool like Milwaukee. I bought it for camping and maybe power outages, but it is to heavy to bring camping and to expensive for the rare outages. It is not as bright as Tubers lead you to believe, it’s ok but even close to 500 watt flood lights, I will be returning it for sure. It should be 100 waterproof and it should come with a remote, run time is only 3 hours with 5 amp on boost mode, drops down to 16hours on level 2 brightness only get the claimed 36 hours on level 1 which way to dim, much cheaper options out there especially when the ego battery will crap out after 2 to 4 years if your lucky
You complain about it being plastic but then say it's too heavy for camping. I love my light and use it for my pool area that doesn't have good lighting. Maybe yours was defective as there is no way to remove my battery without pressing the lock button with effort. Im.not trashing any other brands but I do really love this light. Like I said it lights up my entire back yard for pool parties. I also just lent it to someone that had power outage and they loved it.

Bought one of these after this video and it’s a great bright ass compact light!
Do you know why the snowman smiles?
He hears the snow blower coming ;)
That’s an awesome light for the price! It would have been just a little sweeter if they made it a hybrid light like Ryobi, Rigid, and Milwaukee…
Very to the point for a 15 minute video. Most people drag out talking and lose attention but you kept moving at a good pace.

I use this in my photography also have their badass power station

I was just looking at this at the store. Thanks for the video!
I love this light more than any of my Milwaukee lights because it doesn't blind you.

I love this light I put it on my Bosch tripod works Amazing 👍
Great review. Going to add to my Ego collection.....
This is a great light. Thanks for watching.
Could you test this on a regulation soccer field? Even the 18 yard box would be just fine. Appreciate you!
I’m going to buy one so I can practice soccer with daylight savings and getting dark so soon
@@chrisginoc Sick! let me know how it goes, might pick one up as well.

I got one and i can mow my lawn at night time
I got the ego zero turn riding mower and mow at night with its built in LED lights 😎
That`s a darn good deal in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.
How many hours on high?
Can u confirm. If you touch the power button 2x real fast does it go directly to Turbo Mode
I have this awesome light! I put it on a light weight light stand and light the crap of where I put it! Great review!! Thanks!!
Nice! I needed something to blind and spy on my neighbors! This fits the bill! 😉
In all seriousness thanks Tim!
Great review! I've already been looking for this light but it doesn't seem to be available in Canada...so backwards 😕
I was looking for one too seems to be US only for now
Get a buddy in the US to ship you one ;) Its what I do with things in the CAN that arent avail in the US ;)

It's Brite like a light plant nice
These light would be excellent for filmmaking
ego has interesting tools.
If they’d make it hybrid I’ll buy it!
35 hours on low... Is that low and just one panel or low w/ all lit?
Sold
How much is the 5 amp hour and 10 amp hour battery?
That light is actually cheaper than my FLEX light at $249.00 tool only
Is it IP 65?
Great review video
Does this connect on the app to control light? Box is misleading
No. And the box doesn't say that it does.
@@annihilator4000look at the box, it tries to deceive regarding using the app to register, brighten etc.. lol maybe a future update
Anybody know the ipx rating ?
Good Tool 👍

Unfortunately, EGo fails to tell you batteries and chargers are sold separately and cost 3 to 4 time more than the light

$159.00 expensive for a light
Battery costs more than light
Are the light housing aluminum or plastic?
It looks like plastic
