What color we thinking everybody?! ALSO LIKE THE DAMN VIDEO PLEASE!
Terminator mystic paint
The dark blue and grey 2 tone from the first rendering would be sick go with ur first notion
Red
@@JimP419 I agree but I want to add a thin red stripe between the blue and grey..
Full red
Yeah, make the stock bumper work, cut bits off the new one for it, fiberglass it together. Bada bing bada boom!
I was just going to comment similar. Possibly cut the bottom off and mould it to the stock one. Just an idea anyway.
Hahaha I was thinking the same thing
Yeh you could trim the central vent out the aftermarket and cut each side out of both and swap them, can't really get a good view of the aftermarket bumper to eye line what you could cut out and mould onto, cause it'd be a shame to loose the front portion of the aftermarket one, it's just that swoop on each side really and the side mouldings not fitting
Yep, do this.
this is an awesome idea..... Frankenstein both bumpers together to make the ULTIMATE
Stock bumper with the valance is the way to go my guy!
The blue and silver is a way more unique look...
Dont paint the rear hatch window though!
I like it too, but it reminds me of early 90s 5.0 Mustang 2-tone paint.
Blue and Silver.. like the rendering
Blue and silver for sure
The red is nice, but the blue/silver just makes the car look sooo much better!
Yeah, give's it that 90's vibe!
This is the way
I would get the valance for the stock bumper. Also, I love the split colors. Way better than the all red.
Stock bumper with a lip would have looked way better.
I took a wing west kit off my car and went back to factory bumpers
That hood is a million times better....just fits with the kit so much better.. the last one looked like a 10 year old drew it in comparison... much love bro
The Honda race team colors are traditionally Red, white for contrast, and black for accents and details. Painting it red with a black interior with red and white stitching would be mind blowing.
I VOTE GET THE IROC!! Thing is super cool, wish I could go get it
And the CVCC, Hyabusai swapped.
You can get it.
I had a one of those Daytona's was a pretty fast car for what it was and for what year it was. Mine was red.
You should do plexiglass hood and light it up and show everyone there’s a v8 on it almost like a show case that would look sick
Make the Daytona V8 RWD like it was god intended.
My kid had one, it was the Shelby turbo 2.2 model. It was great when it ran. Terrible turbo lag, then torque steer like crazy.
I second the V8 suggestion with RWD.
I had a Shelby Charger back in the day. Loved that car but yes, the turbo lag was nuts. Scared the crap out of me SOOOOO many times when it spooled up because it sounded like a cop was lighting me up!
Would love to see the Iroc as a project, good candidate for a K swap fwd rocket ship 🚀
Yes those 3.0 minivan V6's suck.
@@larryboy8821 Back in the day Mopar Performance sold a kit with the K member to swap in the 360 V8. I believe that in included all the hardware for the swap.
Its looking good, I say to try the stock bumper and go RED. Thanks for the video!!
Thank you! I think so too
100%
Red is my fav color but silver and blue would look dope
I did that on a 64 C-10 hood 30 years ago. Added a couple inches to the rear edge and angled the sides and it turned out fantastic. Keep at it Casey.
Would grafting the two bumpers together work? Section out the center opening and graft it onto the stock bumper? Take the lower lip and add it onto the stock one? Where the lip attaches might be able to add a step like you did with the hood but in fiberglass?
I love the spoiler, i love the revision on the hood, i REALLY love that the front bumper didnt work out (sorry) but think the oem front bumper with the oem lip kit or even the "cs" style front lip kit(most popular) would look best. Also the all red rendering looks awesome but i still kinda like the two tone red and silver look also... ill be happy with either
I hope you curve the added pieces of metal on the hood instead of just flat metal going straight up and down. Also, paint it Teal. Whatever you do, I'm here for it
My first car was an 85 CRX. I had the navy blue/gray with the red stripe. This build is making my 16 year old heart smile. Keep 'em coming, Casey!
Absolutely love this build!!!!!
Have you considered the oem colors? Celestial Blue Pearl (B53P) with silver would look really nice in my opinion
It's always been my dream to put a V8 in a CRX as a teenager...
great job...
Stock front bumper with lower lip added then it flows with the side pieces . This new version of the hood is spot on . Like the oem raised version just raised more . Maybe you should have got that hood on the white instead . But I’m sure he wanted more for that one . 👊🏼🍻
They used to make V8 kits for the Daytona. New Kmember and rear wheel drive swap to put a 360 into it.
You should get that Daytona Iroc, maybe just save that for later. As for colors on the CRX; red top, gray bottom, with gray leather interior & rock the stock bumper with some Casey's Customs flare to it!
"EYE" hate the bumper to, but lovvvvve the hood, makes' it look high performance stock.
I'd love to see you hotrod a Daytona ! The first car I ever bought was an 86 Dodge Daytona turbo, I was 13. Never got to play with it cuz I sold it for a duster and got into muscle.
Cut the bottom off the fiberglass bumper n put it on the stock one
Blue an silver forsure!!
Get that Daytona and RWD swap. Looks almost identical to an FC RX7
@antwanstevenson955 he needs to finish up some of the projects like the supernatural impala or a bunch other instead of restarting every week on a new one! The dodge daytona he's looking at they are garbage literally a rebadged chrysler lebaron with a couple different shapes on the body otherwise same thing.
@@azwolf3285 just sayin it would be a cool future build and either rotary swapped or Porsche motor in there would be dope. I’m a Jdm kinda guy and just love to see different builds
I love the solid red but white really makes the lines of the body kit show up great with a black top and hood. That's how my Porsche is done, white with carbon fiber hood and mirror covers and black convertible top!!! I love this build Casey!!!
Buy the Daytona, make it wide body, AWD, maybe an SRT4 engine?
Daytona with a 3rd generation 5.0 ford awd supercharged
Wide body would be sick
@@brentaucoin7954 that’s a lot of motor to AWD around in that little car though
That’s why I’m thinking srt4
@@onnaquest sick and unique!
This hood is going to look so much better too! You hit the nail on the head with the wide body accentuating the factory lines. Do the same thing to the bumper. This hood design does the same thing. Very excited for it. It looks amazing!
Hell, ya you need to buy that Daytona. So rare these days.
Blue/purple chameleon (the deep dark color) is my vote!! My dad had a dodge Daytona turbo when I was a kid. We had a lot of fun in it.
Hey brother Casey you should get that 70 honda cvcc you could put a high power motorcycle engine in it like from a Huyabusa maybe that would be fast AF bro😊😊👍👍
Blue a silver......and yes you should build that daytona and drop a hellcat motor into it
red and white would look amazing! also yeah the stock bumper with an aero kit or lip to extend it down is the best move!
Blue and silver
i had a buddy back in the day who had a 95 civic coupe with the jackson supercharger. it was a really fun car to drive
Blue/silver
That blue and silver is a way to go , it will match the color of the wheels also which ever wheels you plan on going with. Me personally the blue and silver ROCKIN! Two tone is the BEST !
Not my car, however that blue and silver is sick
Blue and silver and yes you need that Daytona with some wicked v8 rear wheel drive
That daytona must be yours
🎉Casey, use the original n cut ✂️ the Five glass bumper add in the gather to make what you want?Jason Wichita, ks
DUDE!!! BUY THE DAYTONA! Holy $hit that would be an awesome build!
My buddy had a Daytona in high school and I had a CRX! I would love to see you build that Daytona!!!!
Just keep putting V8s in every front wheel drive car from my high school years and I’ll keep watching!!!!!
Yes yes yes Buy the Daytona!!!
Think about Red and Gold. Remember the look of the Iron Man Armor from the first Iron Man movie and how much the two colors popped together ?
Buy the dodge Daytona put a modern hemi please
Casey’s customs SEMA build let’s goooo!
Yes for that dodge daytona turbo the lady lol
I agree that the stock bumper with a lip will look good. Can't wait to see how the hood turns out
Definitely by the dodge daytona v eight swap
I have the same front for my prelude and I also didn't like all the holes in the front. i used construction foam/expanding foam to fill the holes then i layered fiberglass on top of the foam after it dried it was hard and smooth
You MUST buy the Daytona!
love where you're going with the hood.. looks so good. also love the all red paint scheme. i still think there should be black Honda CBR wings on the sides, but i'm a biker, so I'm biased.
I agree with Red. My belief is that Honda motorcycles nailed the epitome of true Honda color. Red (primary), white, and blue, with gold rims.
DUDE Casey, that IROC Daytona is a hidden gem 💎. It's very rare and cool. A good candidate for an interesting 🤔 build. Customize it to rear drive and BAM awesome car! Or, you can hold on to it for a future build. Anyway, thanks for the video, always a good one! Have a great day today 🌞😎.
Buy the Daytona!!!
Blue is my favorite color, but that red looks wicked.
Gonna say it, the blue and gray is the move.
Late model Daytonas are dope
You can use foil tade for ducting to cover the holes and fiberglass over it works a treat
The solid red!!!
the two tone looks sick red or blue over the silver, either way is badass
Coming together really nicely
Black with lime green and red accents!! Done right would look sick!
Oe bumper looks good. Love the build
Your CRX will be so nice when it is finished. We should see it next Spring at car shows around western Missouri. I don't know if Pole Barn Garage has anything as cool as your CRX.
I almost forgot about this build. The way your channel fell off my algorithm recommendations made me think you stopped making videos! Glad to see you are still moving along.
To get the smile out of the Bumper could you make a frame from like 1/4" rods glass them to the back side to hold the shape? Make mounting points on the frame to attach to rad Support.
That blue and grey looks badass
Full blue would look great, for the bumper just use the stock one with the extension that would keep it genuine
Dude you should definitely buy that Daytona iroc, that scheme of body style and colors were special ordered believe it or not,but you’d make a killing restoring and sealing that dude, hope that this was a help
I had a red turbo dodge Daytona back in high school such a fun car mine was also 5 speed
That red looks incredible. Use a heat gun and see if you can work the bumper or use the stock bumper and graft a lower lip to it that connects with the front side spats that you showed. Would look good.
Loving the build!
Candy blue with some silver flake and orion sliver on the bottom
I think the blue and silver is spot on and also I really think you should stick with the rendered bumper cause the end result, it's really going to be nice and worth the effort.
Saw the one video of the dash install and had a question, how are you going to ever pull the distributor if you ever have to? Looks like it sits under the windshield where you welded those plate so the windshield would seal.. I had an 89 CRX Si and wished I kept it to do something wild like what you’re doing. Wide body kit install was sick too, nice job
Get the Daytona, there's pedestals on the K member to build v8 mounts, 83-92 firebird/ Camaro rear axle and control arms are almost bolt in axles
Blues/silver. Is it possible to cut and blend to two bumpers to get the best of both?
Car is looking fire! Great job Casey!
Hey when I did my Honda build a couple years ago I had to take a stock bumper and aftermarket bumper and cut them to make them fit I made two bumpers into one
Stock front bumper and red would be amazing love the build
Stocky front bumper is good. You can cut out the center and make a lip kit work. Red is great and would allow the body lines to stick out instead of 2 tone trying to pull away the attention
The hood looks killer that was what I envisioned when you made the first hood as for the color I like the blue and silver but that red looks awesome too but your car your choice dude I love this build
Totally use the stock bumper with the valance. Passenger side of the hood scoop is way higher than I am.
I had a 77 cvcc when I was 16. In absolutely pristine condition 👌
A saddle brown swade interior top half would be sick. I like the stock bumper
The hood looks so much better now!
It definitely has come a long way Casey!
do a vertical cut at the corner of the head lights, drop the ends then re-glass the gaps!
Yes get the Daytona and also I think red and silver a be a good option to stay factory style but your own twist of course
You could use some pieces of the aftermarket bumper onto the factory one. That way, it would match up to the look you're going after
Man that 78 Civic - a Silver 78 Civic was my first car...
Red and silver and also stock front bumper with a bottom lip like you was talking about for sure
You could do what the e36 kids do where you take an OEM bumper and cut the lower 4-5 inches off. Then attach it to the bottom of the factory bumper making it 3 inches lower and stick looking. Ensentailly you cutting a lip from a spare bumper and attaching it to the stock bumper
