#BikesandBeards
It would be funny if you got a hold of Paul Jr and had him secretly help you and then at the reveal he jumps out and him and his dad throw chairs at each other lol.
LOL!!!!!
THAT WOULD BE MONEY
That would be hilarious 😂
Maybe not too cool tho 😅
Best comment on the internet today!!!!
Paul Teutul Jr!!! Where are you to get under your dad’s skin again!!!
All I could think is, "Poor Craig has to build 2 bikes!" 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for not taking the easy route with this build-off. Very interested is seeing what you can do with a bike that most would write off as a total loss.
Not sure if there is any easy route
@@BikesandBeardsI got a better bike than that I'll donate I just don't have a title for it clean vin located in noble Oklahoma it's a 79 Yamaha xs1100 was being turned into a hard tail bobber needs minor work to run
@@dezmoney4039 he has to have a European bike, Yamaha ain't euro 😅👍
@@BikesandBeards It's funny what camera angles can do. You look like a Monster standing next to Paul Senior! He might as well be a baby trying to be all bad😊
@@SatanicPrimate I must have missed that part I still wouldn't pay 1200 for I bike that's been on fire but that's just me
Love how you just call out GrindhardplumbingCo and Cleetus McFarland just randomly and nonchalantly
I dig this channel but he wouldn't do well building against GHP, just my opinion. Would be a cool video or series.
He's plugged their channels too in the past
@@jasonparker3316yup… nothing new 😏
@@billbong156I think GHP WILL EVENTUALLY BE SHAWNS RINGERS
Cletus did in fact get himself a nice old motorcycle not too long ago so maybe there's been a collab in the works a long time
Paul Sr. Seems to have really chilled out getting older… my dad did the same thing. All the stress isn’t worth it in life. It’s easier to let things go and smile more often.
I think discovery was also just really good at showing us all the drama and craziness cause that’s what sells. Sr definitely had his fair share of anger issues but i doubt his day to day life was as full of it as the show lead us to believe.
Wrong!! When you lose that fire 🔥 life is over 😢
Yet he still takes things too seriously. He is just insufferable; even if a situation was perfect - he would find something wrong with it, even if he had to make it happen. That fire is something else completely and by the looks of the restaurant and the expanding shop - I 'd say he still has that and is applying it better than that TV show ever did.
It was the steroids
Getting off the Roids might have helped......
I think we all appreciate how this relationship started and how it's progressing. I used to hate Paul Sr on the show, but now he's a cool dude.
cant hate an actor ;) .. well for a roll at least
I bet a lot of his anger and drama was scripted and/or edited to keep the show interesting. Now we are getting to see the real person
This is a situation that's seen a lot in companies turned tv show. People tend to change personalities to make the show better. Usually, once you get them away from the cameras, the real them comes back out and they usually are pretty good people.
3:38 is crazy, 87k messages and almost 900 missed calls. Shaun is a legend.
I ll call them and respond back to those emails soon
I'm glad i checked the comments i was gonna pick at him about the same thing ! lol
and 28 text messages to respond too.
I have like 13k E-Mails unread over 3 accounts. And I am not a Business Owner / Social Media Personality.
There are just some E-mails that I never read because I know through the title it's bullshit
Plot twist, it's all from his wife wondering where he is
I love the dynamic between Sr and Mike. Sr with the no-nonsense attitude, and Mike is just a true gentleman!... you guys need a TV series doing bike build offs
As a motorcycle TH-camr myself, this is great content! Really happy to see you both make this collab and become friends 🤘🏼
I appreciate that you made sure the seller was making a profit. You prove time and time again that you don't have to screw people over to be successful
Those Grind Hard Plumbing straps are top notch 👌🏼😂
Love the Krispy kritter. Perfect template for something badass with some character. Like a Phoenix from the ashes
Good on Paul for taking a misunderstanding or mild criticism, and facing it and doing this. Shows he doesn't take himself to seriously and has class. Good on ya'll too.
You literally picked the WORST bike on facebook marketplace.
That's his secret to success. Start out with a hopeless situation, and, at the worst, everyone gets a good laugh!
Put Paul on the Road Dog
I had one of those that I put a sportster peanut tank, 9” extended springer front end, spool front wheel with no brake and low z bars. Such a simple clean cool build. Everyone love it. No speedometer. Only 2 switches, ignition and lights.
That would work 👍
storing that battery at 100% is killing it.
yeah 99% is crazy leave a battery stored at
shhh, don't ruin the surprise when he finds out actual capacity of that battery ie A⋅h, not just simple voltage which is what that 99% measures which tells almost nothing about actual capacity of a battery
It would be so cool to just embrace the fire that this bike has been in. Include it in the design, meybe some melted plastic parts, dripping stuff, it would give it so much character, definitely one of a kind opportunity
Maybe not so much keeping melted parts for aesthetic but he could hands down preserve the paint job with the scorching and carbonized burn spots. Otherwise a brand new realistic on fire or smoldering paint job would be epic just because of the story and still allow the bike to look pristine
Goood morning. Thank you for helping out NC - it is appreciated
Order a simple wiring kit for a chopper and a triumph hardtail kit, pull that engine out, clean up and chop the frame, hire a welder, throw it together, disassemble, paint, reassemble and win.
Yeah you tell everyone 😁👍
Would be also my idea
I’m so excited to see this build off happen!! This is EPIC
I really think you should find a way to keep some of the fire damage in the final design, it will help add story and an artistic flare to the final piece.
Love watching your videos. I've recently aquired a 1989 Kawasaki ZX-10 that's been sitting in a barn for 30yrs, I can't wait to get it back on the road and watch your videos in the process
These "modern classic" 865 Twins obviously lend themselves to Cafe Racer, Bobber and Scrambler Builds.
Triumph basically offered those styles from the factory (Thruxton, Bonneville Bobber, Scrambler)
All of the above types of build could also work really well with a "rat" bike style imho.
But they also have been done A LOT - I don't know what that and a rat bike style (which is not exactly flashy) would mean for your chances at winning.
It would mean TONS of resources and hopefully easier to source parts and stuff.
There are two types of builds I always thought would be great for a modern classic from Triumph.
A Bonneville build that looks like one of the bikes used for the early land speed records - the ones that don't look like spaceships. After all, that is where the Bonneville got her name.
Or a 60s, 70s, or maybe even 80s race bike style fully fared build. (Yes, i know the XSR900 exists.)
Both, especially the latter, way harder to do.
Personally I'd love to see a rat bike "crispy critter" Bobber or Cafe Racer - Keep as much patina (aka damage XD) as possible and just make it nice to ride.
Disclaimer: My only Qualification is being European and having owned & ridden Triumphs (including '04 865 Thruxton)
There’s a hard tail available for the AC triumph.
Perfect example of "We all have more in common than we may think"
Sean: "So, how did I get myself into this situation...?"
Sean's mouth: "It was MEEEEE!!!"
😂😂😂
Maybe do something to the effect that this is a triumph, its a british bike. Do something like a Steve McQueen great escape kinda build
That blue Zuma looks exactly like mine, same aftermarket exhaust and everything! GREAT SCOOTERS!
British bike.....been in a fire......you should call it "The Blitz".
😂😂😂 you almost had it…it needs to be “ the BlitzCraig”
@@stevenlaxton3618 How are you pronouncing that, the American or British way?
@@Vanu-i4o just as it’s spelt lol probably a fun way to offend at least one German 😂
It’s hilarious every video he’s like I gotta get this going. It’s like an I’m gonna lose the shop moment lol 😂 😂😂does he know Tony Angelo ?
"Oil's good!" That was some true Craig mechanicing right there!
I died when you randomly started scrolling amish buggies😂😂😂😂
Good luck on the build off! Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Let me know if you ever want to get rid of that BW 350!
"I like BMW"
Well the Shirt says it all haha.
I had a Triumph chopper in the 70’s. Go for it!
Paul sr is so cool. Him and his family left there mark on the motorcycle community forever I personally think they are amazing
3 fuse electrical system, extended swing arm, big knobby tires and make it a hill climb racer. NO lights, no problem.
This is going to be such a great series! Thank you again for all the aid to folks in NC 🇺🇲
Can't wait to see both bikes finished!
Mikey for president
I love how you turn to negative situation into a positive. That's such a gift you have.
Man, you got this!
Pick it to pieces.
Clean it up real nice with a pressure washer and repair it as you go. -- Then get a buddy to cut you some good fenders out, and paint them with the rest of the bike.
Considering the history of the bike, you should absolutely do something fire themed. I'm thinking like a Ghostrider Bike. Chop the front, make a rear fender out of plate steel, blades, and chains, and mount the front headlight in the jaws of a big skull, etc. It can be the bike that rode into hell and then came back... evil.
After a long day at work its time to sit down with a with a cold beer, bacon rolls and watching a bikes and beards build off! Friday night sorted 😉😁
Single seat cafe style bike with drag bars, and aggressive off road tires would be awesome
Triumph very cool. Had an idea for the paint job for you, which could do London Bridge is falling down like the nursery rhyme but the bridge is on fire paying homage of the fact, the bike was originally burnt.
You got this, Go get Craig he is a great mechanic and you guys will kill it.
Craig’s is building his own bike against me
@@BikesandBeards get Craig's sneaky rival mechanic Greg instead
@@BikesandBeards if that's the case you're screwed. 😅😂😂😂😂😂
@@BikesandBeards Oh well, I guess Craig is going to win lol. Good luck
My husband has a Triumph and I can't wait to see what you do with this bike!!!
Bike should be called “the BlitzCraig” 😂😂
If your going for the apocalyptic look you have a good start already.
Burned Bike < Wrecked Bike < Parts Bike < Non-Running Bike. If your cylinder is warped from the heat -it is a goner. You can get a wrecked bike at an auto auction for $100+.
That Triumph was pretty cool though. I would have made it into a narrow and light chopper, cut the pipes and extended them massively. -Basically a British Cafe Chopper type design, mini chop style with some British Flair, but keeping it light. Using all the Triumph logos, saving the tank extending it. Maybe extending the frame with a new chopper fork. Cut and widen the rear of frame for a bigger rim and tire -or at least give it the look you did.
-good luck in your build.
Amazing bike for the build, I’m stoked
Would love to see one of you start with a Royal Enfield. Those bikes have lots of potential.
It wasn't ON fire, it was NEAR fire.
The "Toasted Marshmallow"
This is going to be a great series.
I’m guessing Craig is going to get a Buell 🤷♂️
Great stuff! Cosmetically, I’d clean it up, smooth it out and clear coat it. Keep the house fire look for a unique paint scheme / story. This is a fun one with 3 of my fav motorcycle guys to watch. Can’t wait to see the finished project!✝️🇺🇸
I think that bike would be really cool if you’ve done something similar to Darrell‘s bike on The Walking Dead with the off-road theme
For years I rode 74 650 Bonneville. Harley peanut tank, made a bolt on hard tail, extended forks kicked out 12 inches over, horseshoe oil tank, 15 inch Harley rim laced onto the back with a shaved VW tire. Hope that gives you some ideas 😊👍
My bike is burnt 😂 good luck on the build you got this! Thanks for the video can’t wait to see more!
I love these episodes! I went all the way to orange county just to see his HQ. I'm such a big fan of everyone involved in OCC.
Why wouldn't you do a real OCC build off instead of having Paul Sr do something he's not used to?
I’m so glad you bought that bike to start. You will make something really nice.
I’m so glad to see Paul in a much better light
I think i got to say i got the ultimate motorcycle company staff:
- Paul T builds the bike
- Chris Moore tunes the bike
- Sean sells the bike
That would be the ultimate dream team.
Glad to see things turned out well with Paul SR.
I’ve wanted to build bike similar to the Cody bike that occ did early on in the series. After looking into it I’d need a shop and lots of tools. Occ might have an advantage simply due to having a tool advantage. Love to see how this turns out.
So you bought Shaun's fire bike, nice. We have tons of parts if you need them, just holler. We're up the road in Nashville.
I'm glad to see im not the only who watches bluey while I work lol
Many years ago when I was young and dumb I got a Pulsar GTI-R as fire damaged salvage thinking it wouldn't be too bad to get going.
I soon found out the hard way that anything which isn't solid metal (and some things that were) is completely useless.
Anything rubber, greased, plastic, electric or anything else is basically just scrap weight and the metal bits you can rescue will need ripping down to the bare part, cleaning all coatings/etc off and starting again.
That thing may well run with some ignition and carbs but if you don't strip it to get the burned oil and melted plastic parts out of it that won't be running long.
Honestly I would treat that as though you got a frame and some spares. Anything more and you will be chasing problems for the rest of the bike's life.
Oh man of it doesn't crank over we ate gonna lose the shop!!
I think you and Craig (and of course everyone else) have the absolute coolest jobs in the world, I would be so lucky to even have a bike at all lol. Keep up the good work.
There is a jet ski bike that shows up every year in Galveston for bike week, has been around since 2006 at least when I first started going to the event. His is a yellow seadoo bombadier xl. Bike week is generally just a bunch of Harleys and similar large bikes so I generally ride my tiny little royal Enfield just to stick out, its tons of fun, Not as crazy as Sturgis but still fun.
Congratulations on making OCC relevant again, Paul needs to give his Social Media guy a raise.
Right on man ,build that Triumph. Cant wait.
Only went the hardest route possible lol, the greater the challenge the greater the victory!
I watched the Lost Boys again recently and I want to build a lost boys dirt chopper. Dunno if that helps with ideas but regardless, that Triumph is the modern equivalent of what most choppers in the UK were based around back in the days. You'll be good, go Beard.
Paul Sr as much of a brute as he is portrayed can't hide the fact that he has a great sense of humor and will bring the drama to further the laugh.
Just get a k100 and build the most epic cafe racer. Tons of off the shelf part, cool suspension mods with some slight frame modifications
Paul Sr. Probably doesn’t even own metric wrenches! lol 😂😂😂
The guy who built your chariot stole my Honda ruckus and money 🙃 0:44
"I'm screwed." Yep. Step one: formulate an accurate assessment of the situation!
A Triumph would be awesome. Thanks for posting I've been waiting to watch what you guys do.
That bike’s gonna be more of a headache that anything , but I respect the will to save it
You guys should have done an Amazon chopper, build off😂
My new favorite channel
I don't even like motorcycles like that
As a Veteran, my "build comp" bike's name would be Service Dog and it'd have a sidecar for my Service Dog lol License plate SRVCDOG
Considering what youve been doing for hurricane victims, i don't have a clue how you have the time or energy to do this. We would be absolutely okay if you delayed. Youre super human brother. God is giving you His strength.
If you do not make this Phoenix themed we will riot!
It’s awesome that you sold that girl that police Harley. Especially since she got to work on it with the bearded mechanic herself, and it was her first time ever working on a bike. That’s gonna end up bike for her guaranteed
Rick and Vinny are the ones who really made OCC what it is now. It's a shame they never get their deserved credit.
Ive got a bike that was in a garage of a house that caught on fire, we ended up doing a full restoration. The one thing about a bike that was in a fire is any and all rubber / sealant / silicone, any thing that’s not metal has to be replaced or you’ll have issues.
I would think that a fire damaged bike would be the worst thing to rebuild but I'm excited to see what comes out of it I'm pulling for you brother and God bless you
Gets a bike lift.. Doesn’t use the lift.. 🤣🤣🤣 18:50
I like how you're watching Bluey while doing research
The Nashville rider community is truly small. I've seen you make videos at my buddy Tom Bumpus' shop and now with an old friend Shaun. I have had some very fun times with both those guys or motorcycle trips and track days.
I'd love to have a Triumph, especially a Tiger. The perfect cycle for old logging roads and mountain road raging.
The 87,244 emails 😂😂😂😂; do you read them all before you go to bed LOL and 875 calls WOW 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shaun watching Bluey for inspiration, no way he can lose this.
Strip the bike first clean up the wiring, strip the paint off the frame snd tank motor can be sorted afterwards
"youre interupting my lunch"?😂
