This is at the moment my favorite airgun for hunting. I'm using the jsb redesign cal22 and is enough for hunting and pest control. I also cast my own slugs in 34gr and is performing very nice. I will upload soon videos about the tunings and mods I made to my huben. I bought it from the guys of AOA and I huge reccomend them. I just love my huben..!

I have had my K-1 in 22 cal for 2 1/2 years now. What a great gun. also when you load the pellets you can install two pellets
before you need to rotate the magazine. The little tab covers two loading holes.
After having this gun even my FX Impact get little use...Ha! Ha!

    • @robertbeltowski2819

@Andrew Moore Not sure what you mean!....but you can take several shots with K-1 and load more pellets in with-out removing the mag ( which you can not remove anyway). I also own the SK-19 air rifle from LCS Air Arms and it too loads the same way both gun work very well.

This is one of the best Huben K1 introductions to show the average person what this K1 can do. It is truly remarkable how the semi-auto mechanism works and they have now perfected the technology. I love mine.

wylieecoyote What version do you have? I have heard a lot about quality control issues with the early versions.

    • @wylieecoyote

@@bluewater454 Mine is the 2nd generation. I had a leak and reg issue that was corrected by a Kraz Cool Airguns krazcool.com that specializes in the Huben K1. It has been great since then. Like anything revolutionary there will be a bump here and there, but this semi-auto cycling method is genius. The problems have been minor leaks that are easily fixed by a technician, not because of build quality. It is very well made and sturdy and is the only airgun I know of that use titanium for the air cylinder allowing higher fill pressures in a smaller form factor.

    This was a great review.
This rifle is also what I call a game changer.
I have been shooting guns for a long time... But I only got into air gunning about 15 years ago.
I have recently been depressed about the state of the air gun community. There was a big push with the umarex gauntlet... Which don't get me wrong is a cool rifle... and allows young kids or people with not a whole lot of money to get involved with the sport. But then everybody was on the band wagon... And I didn't see any technology that was moving things forward for serious hunters..and on that note I also have to say there has been a big push into big bore calibers for serious hunters... But I find that kind of silly in a way. When I see guys taking these big bore airguns to hunt game where it's legal to and they have to make their shots within 50 yards.... Why in the world wouldn't you use a powder burner? there's no way in hell in my mind that I'm going to wait for a buffalo to get 25 yards away to make a shot with a 50 caliber air rifle... When I could take it just as easily with my 7 mm Magnum at 200 to 500 yards no problem.
Are guns to me mean stealth... When you live inside City limits and you still want to hunt and not get the cops called on you. The best pest control you can have at a hundred yards. And even closer.

Would you be willing to do a follow up review using the slugs. We need to see shot count and accuracy please. I hear this rifle is very accurate using slugs all the way past 200 yards. As the pellet groups open up at long distance, the slugs hold accuracy. It will be interesting to see this at 100,150 and 200 yards. ....70 ft pounds should shoot 34 gr slugs pretty flat.......But I really appreciate your review using pellets as well. I will be using both, so the pellet test was equally important. Thanks brother and God bless you.

I can't get anywhere near that distance and be accurate with mine. The Factory barrel is polished not rifled, so definitely not out of the box. Someone makes a rifled slug barrel in .22 for it (unfortunately I can't find a .25). That is how you get long distance out of it as far as I know. This guy
      th-cam.com/channels/7YKBPg7Zv3B5JPbAar35qA.html
knows more about the K1 than anyone else on youtube and he explains all in detail. Accuracy, Barrel swaps, tuning etc are all covered on his channel.

  • @badboyrick3520
    @badboyrick3520 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey buddy..
The K1 is not designed for pellets
if you want to shoot pellets the best thing is the JSB Monster Redesigned 5.52 mm 25.39 grain ..
It is important to push the pellets all the way forward in the magazine, this brings accuracy.
The best results with the K1 are the original Huben Slugs 33 Gr around 1000 F / s.
And you can always load 2 pellets before turning the magazine.
    Greetings Rick

It certainly is a very powerful platform in both .22 and .25 cal. I saw Joe Brancato (the airgun cientist channel) tuning one in .22 cal. at his shop last month, it was shooting about 1400 fps but his customer wanted shootng in the 900 fps +/_ . I'm enjoying my Airforce texan ss .457 for now, the American Air Arms Slayer .452 cal. is next , the Huben in .25 cal. is right after that on my list for this year! It's all about the power....

As of today 05/17/19 there is not much specs / data / velocity on this Huben K1 gun for both .22 or .25 cal versions. I find that gun data / information is always limited on the AOA website . If we as air gunners are going to spend $1500 it would be smart to provide data so we can help to make our decisions with purchasing .

When can we get the gauge upgrade for the end of the main air chamber? Will it come with instructions on how to empty the tank safely and install the new fill port with gauge? What is the projected price range? Thanks. Love my huben in .25 ordered from you a few weeks ago. Shooting NOE .252 39gr 9mm long. Too bad the rotary magazine isn't just a little wider for the .25 to get over that 2 to 1 length to caliber ratio for better bc. Shooting slugs is all about adjusting the power wheel to harmonically tune the gun for the specific slug being fired. This is probably about the only air rifle mass produced currently to have this capability.

Don't these guys know how to zero a scope? In the last 19 shot group only one shot hit the red bullseye. If you were hunting rats, you would miss every time!

No, it really isnt IF you use the correct slug. The accuracy in the video is ok and what you would expect from a pellet. The K1 has a twist rate and the power to use slugs that are just a little smaller than firearms. As the FPS increases a pellet becomes unstable and is not accurate frustrating people who buy it, crank up the power and use pellets. If you want accuracy at higher FPS, you need to use slugs. It also takes shooting a few in order to break in the mechanism.
