His "classy" humor has died unfortunately. I never heard a cuss word out of him and no vulgarity just good clean humor. He was in a class of his own we don't have anyone like him anymore.
When the Savoy Plaza Hotel was up, right by Central Park. The two floors above the arches of the entrance to the Savoy. That's where the Terminal Barber Shops were, they took care of VIPs. One of my late husband's customers was Victor Borge. He trimmed his hair and a Dutch manicurist took care of his nails. Borge tipped well.
Apparently Borge never had any sort of script. He simply winged it using his incredible imagination and took cues from anything that may occur during his performance. 😊
That can't be exactly true. I own a 7" vinyl disc with "Phonetic Punctuation" on one side and "A Mozart Opera" on the other. The latter is essentially the same sketch as here. (I've had the disc since I was a child. I'm 71 now, but the humour never gets old.)
Genius!
I saw him live in Capetown, South Africa. Such unique humor. So delightful.
What an experience!
Cardiff😂😂😂
He told us that every time he visited Cardiff, it was so much better than...
The next time 🤣🤣

Wow, makes it even more mesmerizing!

Comic genius!
@@Twirlip2 Which is why I said 'apparently'. Interestingly, my late bro had the same disc; never tired of playing it - ! 😁
Hey could you teach us the final part of Rush E where it goes up one note
I’ll work on that then!
I’m having trouble getting the final part
Did Victor ever play a serious concert?
Mmm not to sure 🤔 will have to look into it…
