* Uzun zamandır görüşemedik: Burada Borg, aslında "Long time, no C." diyor. C, do notası anlamına geliyor. Ancak okunuş itibariyle "see" ile benzer. Yani, yine bir kelime oyunu söz konusu. "Long time, no see" uzun zamandır görüşemedik anlamına gelse de, burada bir anlamda "Uzun zamandır do notası yok ortalarda" diye yorumlanabilir.
* Don Two: Don Juan'daki Juan'ın okunuşu One'a benzediği için onu da enflasyonist dile maruz bırakmıştır Borge.
* Portekaz: Borge, Portekizli anlamına gelen "portuguese" yerine, kendince kelime uydurarak "portugoose" diyor.
* Portekız: Borge yine İngilizceyi eğip bükerek, "portuguese"in sonundaki kısmı "goosling" olarak yorumluyor.

I was HERE for this show........i was one of those "children" that was told ..."OUT"....34yrs later, I'm still laughing my ass off !!!!
I finish the whole video disappointed, I thought he was playing nude in act two😅
Awesome 😃

Genial, inolvidable q.d.e.p.
Victor was absolutely outstanding. As a pianist and a comedian, he was a master of both! He had people in fits of laughter with the most simple humour, with no need to resort to the smut and filth that modern comedians seem to need to make people laugh. Bravo Victor, I salute you!
🎉 thank you so much 😅
@@Jewangel It's my pleasure to recognise a true talent! I grew up laughing at Victor and I'm still laughing at him 50 years later!
@@Jewangelare you Victor or what?
He had me laughing as well, a good man, they are few and far between.
I’ll probably have to watch this video another time or 2 a lot are hardly worth watching the 1st time, not this 1, I’d recommend it to anyone & everyone else
I just learned about Victor Borge a year ago, I have not stopped looking for his recordings since, and my admiration for his talent has not stopped growing. What a talented artist he was. I can only regret not knowing about him and having seen him personally when he was still with us. Thumbs up for for this great talent.
If this was recorded in 1990, he would have been 81 years old here, and still remarkably physical in his comedy.
81!? He looks not even a day past 60!
With good health, age is not important.

If this was recorded in 2030, he would have been 121 years old.
He was so much better than what passes for most of modern comedy. A truly gifted performer.
Yup. No comparison. Also Dudley Moore...
What do you have against Larry the cable idiot?
I have never heard about him. I have watched the first 4 minutes. Now i want to know everything about him! What an excellent comedian!
welcome. enjoy your journey!
His real name was Børge Rosenbaum. He was Danish but was forced to emigrate during WWII due to his Jewish heritage and change his name. He's considered a national treasure in my country. There is a square in Copenhagen named after him as well as a monument. 😊
You must be very young
Pra variar , mais um gênio judeu.
This, is what it means to be talented at everything. The comedy, the skill, the crowd control, the interaction, the piano playing and even the imitated opera singing, PERFECT. This is perfect.
His timing for every joke is impeccable, things that you find mundane became outrageously hilarious. A very masterful comedian.
He was a gentleman and masterful in his art. Without vulgarity he enveloped you in his presentations and took you away from your reality for awhile. Thank you for sharing your brilliance with us. ❤🎉😊
This show is special to me. Growing up I had no father, no brother or sisters to hang out with, and I would sit and watch this over and over again because even at a young age I realized his class, talent and timing were perfect. Finding this on the computer brings me back!
I love that his son is the "stage hand", how cool would it have been to have Victor Borge as your dad!
Keeping it in the family 👪 😅❤
Yes that's right, I wasen't quite sure, but think I heard it before
there will never be another one like Victor Borge

Very true
It is always a pleasure to watch Victor perform. Always a laugh and a smile when I watch him, especially the phonetic punctuation part. It's very sad to know this lovely, talented man is no longer with us. I did have the pleasure one time of meeting his daughter.
R.I.P Victor.
I've shed tears today for the great Victor Borge, Been watchintg him the last fifty years, such an ACE entertainer.
Not many comedians make me laugh , but he has me in stitches. Natural laughter. RiP maestro. ❤
1990 - things were still in place. How I miss these days ....
I’ve written and performed comedy but it’s relevant for its time, Victor Borge is a talent for all time. He has many engaging facets he fills out with great charm and his timing is impeccable. He is and will always be an entertaining comedic genius and great gift to the joys of humanity. God bless you Victor!
Wasn't he like 80 at the time? It's quite impressive how fit he still was.
The subtitles are almost as funny as the wonderful Mr Borge. This brought back so many great memories of my late husband and I helpless with laughter at these performances.
I had never heard of this gentleman until yesterday and I am so disappointed it took this long! What a genius! I love this! Absolutely incredible!
Who cares when a blessing is received.
Enjoy this man's work.

Bravo!!! He is missed. Thank you for being in our lives. REST IN PEACE! Too bad we don't have any like him today. A great talent!! ❤
The absolute best, the world misses you sir.😢
Its 2024 and I was born 1993. Wish i could've been born in the 80s so i could learn more about him and attend at least one of his converts.❤❤❤❤
Classical music will live on forever.
Victor Borge has always made me laugh so much that I didn’t dare go to a live performance. I have really enjoyed this video! So happy to have found it on TH-cam!
I went to a live performance many (many) years ago. The whole audience was in tears of laughter the entire time. He really knew how to entertain everyone with his dry wit.
My great aunt witnessed an audience member pee his pants during a performance! 😂
This performance needs a health warning !!! I'm laughing so much I can't see or breathe!!! 😂😂😂😂
Amazing, Unique, Hilarious Performer!!!
👏👏👏💖💖💖
I saw his performance about this time in Denver. Memorable.

the page turner was actually Borge's own son.
Really? Cool piece of info!!!
Are you serious? No lie?? Who'd have thunk it!!!
Watch this masterpiece, Victor Borge says it by himself.

What a twoderful man! Lovely way to bring a smile to our faces and to make us laugh ❤
This was a great man for the love that he shared with all. Thank you sir and GOD bless all that you did to make the world laugh and be happy thru music.
Victor is a great preformer. Timing is great.
I had the pleasure and privilege of seeing Victor Borge in concert many years ago at Orchestra Hall in Chicago. Absolutely wonderful. This brings back so many fond memories.
Such a gifted comedian,Just brilliant,he brings that much and more,i still love his performances,i cherish them forever.
May the legend live on forever
I was born in 1983, this is 1990....... and I found out now? Damn, this guy is gold. Pure showman.
watch some of the older ones where Marylin is first starting with him... he gets her so riled up and she cant keep a straight face... its a riot xD
@@narmale I will. Thanks. After watching this, I recommended it to all my friends who like music, and everyone asked me where I found it lol people here in Brazil don't know him. It was not just me at least.
@@ricardofujii249 :) he was a wonderful man... im sad i did not get to see him... but im glad he did not see the world become what it is today... he would have been heartbroken
I was having a difficut time due to an anxiety crisis and then started watching him. I laughed so hard abd feel much better now. He's brilliant!
I loved him! What a pleasant surprise to see this!❤
Was born in 1951 and always enjoyed seeing him on tv, so much humor in 88 keys. Started learning piano in the 6th grade. But I ever learned to read as i was cursed with being able to play by ear. Always enjoyed Oscar Levant too. Another brilliant pianist.
Thank God and man for film and tape! Otherwise all this would be lost! This is intertainment the way it should be! No profanity or skimpy outfits. No blazing lights!! No orchestras or loud amps!!
Just a 🎹 piano and talented people!! Those days won't come back but I was blessed to see it in my lifetime!! (I'm 77) I play in several bands but I won't play modern 🎵 music! I couldn't help noticing that Victor resembles Paul Newman And Richard Drafuss!! He's played all over the world in orchestras and for royalty!! They will always be a place in my heart for people like Victor!! 😢
I cant believe I have just found a very talented person playing piano and more. Victor Borge is the greatest person I have ever seen on youtube with this type of talent. First video I have watched of him performing and first time I sat here for 1 hour and 30 minutes to watch a performance like this. Im forever grateful to see this video. Thank you
R.I.P. Victor Borge, you will never be forgotten and you will be missed forever
Mr. Borge came back from the dead to do the captions. You think the show is funny? Turn on the captions and it's a whole 'nuther comedy experience. Rest in peace, Mr. Borge, and *thank you* for so many years of laughs and musical education.
I was not fortunate enough to know him earlier . I am happy to watch his very artistic performance now
He was always excellent. The greatest! I miss his music and humor!
To know one's craft so well and then be able to deconstruct it and reassemble it into something like comedy is genius! ✌🏽❤️🎶🇦🇺

Victor, Talento e uomo straordinario..... E poter passare ancora tanti momenti come questi.... Ricordiamoci tutti di VICTOR.... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for posting this. Victor Borge is like no other. Many happy memories of watching him for many years.
I watched a reel from this concert and cracked laughing. Now i need to know everything about this maestro!!!!
Wow! This is is simply the best! Compared to todays comedian, the quality and genius of this goat! Just wow
Even the transcription is great comedy 😂😂😂
Surprenant ! Je découvre ce "grand" monsieur. Quel humour ! Quel talent ! Quel joie de l'écouter . Merci pour les sous titres.
I had the great fortune to watch Borge in person in Raleigh around this time, but the show lacked the balcony. Nevertheless the show was virtually identical save a better developed routine with the necktie and pedals. As I recall, his assistant is his son. Unforgettable!
I love this guy....... sooo sad there s no successor
Goat! Wonderful pianist!. Saw him many years ago in sun city arizona. Captivating
