I remember Victor from my childhood. He was an extremely talented, funny as all get go and there has never been anyone like him. I remember he sat at his piano with his sheet music and started playing a waltz. Then he made a face, stopped playing, turned the sheet music upside down and started playing The Blue Danube Waltz. He was the world's favorite grandfather. Miss you Victor! Thanks for all the laughter, music and memories.
After seeing a classic clip and hearing about him from my folks. I've been watching him happily for few hours now, such different and somewhat rare humour compared to these days. Bravo 👏 🫡
Victor....,you made me laugh yes...., but you made me crying too. When you played piano seriously I could feel your sadness. You have been a special man.
first time i heard victor borge was in england in 1957. my parent had a ‘78’ record. one side was all humor . the other side of the record was the serious playing. what a great man.
REALLY? That’s terrific! My dad and my sister went to see him in the 70s and they came home all smiles and laughing for two days. I’m so glad that I actually get to see him on TH-cam now, and he is every bit as charming, funny and talented as they said. Thanks for everything you did Mr. Borge. That’s wonderful that he inspired you to play the piano. 💜💙☺️
@happyheart6125 We all are. And the best thing is we can still see him over and over again for 100x or for those seeing him for the first time. I never got tired of watching this man. Laughs, tears, love, and brilliance, that was our Victor.
There's no boring moment with the musical genius!
Thank you so much Victor for all of your uplifting and very funny comedy and beautifully played classical piano playing. Such a very talented man.
A genius. Such timing and what a real musician who could keep one in the palm of his hand. Brilliant.
He was gifted but can you imagine the practice, dedication and hard work
