The r32 was actually pretty aerodynamic, they put lots of work into making it the ultimate racing machine and suck seeded considering their technology at the time.
Given the fact it makes 1700hp it would be a 7 second manual car all day. Comparing that to an Aussie built RB is an absolutely moot point. Drag racing times come down to weight and power, nothing to do with engine platform.

Should have used an Aussie billet RB 6cyl engine. 2500hp easy.
The only easy thing about a 2500hp RB is that it's easily going to be on very borrowed time.
Put the hellcat Supercharger on it he will make 200+hp
Turbos are way more efficient
Wonder what it does in a 1/4. Aussie built RB street car would still be a lot quicker anyway lol
