Well done you! Hang in there and always try to remember- you are a beautiful person!!!! ….You just have to learn to see your own beauty/strengths and don’t expect to much of yourself, what you can do when you can do it is ENOUGH ❤ Much love 😊
My go to blanket that I make for gifting is the Family Room Throw by Fiber Flux. I have made this many times, love the easy tutorial. i add a border from Blossom Crochet. My favorite hand made item to gift is a knit or crochet beanie! I crochet and knit! Thanks for these ideas.
I have made and sold baby blankets; sold for about $25 - $45 depending on yarn, style, time. Should've sold for more, but a new baby's granny can really get me 😂 ❤
Been loving your channel. I’ve only made blankets for gifts and I have no idea how long they take. … I don’t keep track of big project like that. Keep stitching !!!
Hi Tammi…I’m making Christmas 🎄 Stockings for my 3 Grandkids (16/18/20) I’ve never done it, but doing my best. Then going to put Christmas gifts inside their stockings. I want to make my DIL some fingerless gloves, and there’s these little Christmas pouches that Crystal on BOD recently put out a tutorial for and then you can put nice smelling sachets in them. I’m wanting to do a poncho by BOD for my DIL, but will have to see if I’m ready to brave it…😊 I liked your ideas, thanks for the video ❤
I love to make blankets, mostly granny square ones, but trying to sell them for what they are worth seems almost impossible. I just mostly make them now for charity, keep them or gift them.
I crocheted 8 Harry potter characters. 4 Sanrio characters, and now finishing a 10 inch Christmas Wreath and adding crocheted pinecones! These are all gifts
You can embroider someones’ name with a little contrasting yarn and a plastic big eyed needle. Better than gluing on something…thanks for ideas, new sub
Me too! Canadian. I agree with the prices in Canada. But in my area, in the many years I have been crocheting, I might have sold 10 blanket and gave away a lot. We have blankets everywhere in our house. So nice to have in the chilly evenings.
Blankets usually take way more then 6hours lol 😅that's fast lol😅 I made a blanket that took 10hours and it was blanket extra yarn in a granny rectangle
I have made many blankets of lots of designs, but have never sold them because they can take me up to a month to make them. I asked them at work how much they thought I could get for one and the first answer was $20. People who don't knit/crochet have no idea and wouldn't pay to make it worth it.
I have made several blankets for family members. I would have to charge more than a $100.00. Sometimes my blankets take a week and sometimes several days. Too much money to try to sell!
I’ve made blankets for grand children but I don’t sell them. Too much time invest! Most people don’t want to pay for the time. I macraméd a curtain and photo frames last year also. I have too many hobbies and I change up each year.
Thank you for the suggestions for holiday gifts. So far this year I have made a couple of ear warmer/headbands, and a couple of beanies. I have made this Bonnie Bay Crochet, Celtic Mandala Throw, 3 times it takes about 3 months to finish and the yarn costs about $60. Never have sold them, one was a wedding gift, one for a grandson and the last was a donation for a fund raiser. Personally I don't see how you could find someone to pay you enough for your time and material costs with a beautiful hand made blanket. th-cam.com/video/ljHXzxh3CH8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mNztt65WZHVCuD2I I have always followed the you tube video. This really works up nice, so is worth the time you put into it.
6 hours for a blanket is nothing thanks to huge yarn and hooks. I've spent a couple weeks on a blanket. They are almost always for gifts. I have one ordered for $350. I'll make around $10 per hour.
Comment with your favorite crochet gift idea!
I struggle with PTSD, depression and anxiety. I rarely sell anything. I crochet for my mental health and my family and friends benefit from it.
Ive heard that quite a bit about crochet and your family is super lucky to have you. I'm sure they love everything you make for them.
Well done you! Hang in there and always try to remember- you are a beautiful person!!!! ….You just have to learn to see your own beauty/strengths and don’t expect to much of yourself, what you can do when you can do it is ENOUGH ❤
Much love 😊

Me too! I get it 💯. I can’t even leave my house and probably because of that I have nobody.
I have made a lot of blankets for myself and family. I can’t imagine selling them because they do take a lot of time.

Ohhh I just looked it up and it's super cool looking! Love it!!
I’ve made many blankets. Different stitches, some difficult, some easy, my favorite is the virus stitch.
I love doing that blanket. Virus makes a beautiful blanket.
Loving that one blanket for ur daughter❣️. IT GEORGOUS!
It was a labor of love for sure and my first crocheted blanket.

Baby Blankets for gifts and sales, maybe. The adult size I don't think would be a profitable endeavor either!! Enjoyed your list!
So thoughtful of you, really!

I enjoyed making the granny square one for my daughter but it was a challenge since it was my first one
First time visitor, love your ideas.
Thank you ❤

Wow you are busy!! That’s amazing!!!!
I made a granny square blanket for my daughter as a gift and it’s took me a month and a half.
Me too for my Dad because he just had a bone marrow transplant for AML. I just finished it yesterday. I started it in May!
You can embroider someones’ name with a little contrasting yarn and a plastic big eyed needle. Better than gluing on something…thanks for ideas, new sub
You are super cute!! I love this video. 😃🥰🧶🧶
Ah thank you so much!!!
The Afghan I am currently working on (50 inches wide) is taking about an hour an inch to make.
Oh wow an hour an inch!! Blankets take so long.
It took me from May until yesterday November 14th. I didn’t work on it daily but ya! Blankets take forever
They really do!!!
I quit making blankets to sell because the yarn to make one here in Canada is easily $100 so to make any money on it you would have to charge double.
I don’t think a lot of people know how much time goes into crochet…especially a blanket!
For sure! I’m also in Canada - our yarn prices are so high.
Me too! Canadian. I agree with the prices in Canada. But in my area, in the many years I have been crocheting, I might have sold 10 blanket and gave away a lot. We have blankets everywhere in our house. So nice to have in the chilly evenings.

I make kids lap blankets all the time takes me 7 days.
Would you recommend acrylic for a dog jumper?
I wasn’t sure but I did a little searching and came up with sock wool being highly suggested. If anyone in the comments know…please chime in!!
I have made several blankets for family members. I would have to charge more than a $100.00. Sometimes my blankets take a week and sometimes several days. Too much money to try to sell!
I only make blankets for someone special
It took me months for one blanket

Where can I get the paterns?
Most are linked in the description box. I’m currently updating some of them. Not sure why but some links didn’t paste correctly.

Lol lack of staying interested it takes me years to stitch a blanket
It’s a whole other level of commitment!! lol
Blankets take a long time and a lot of material. I don't think you could make money outside of making a baby blankets.
