I just found a pattern for a snowman with arms that is hugging a gift card. So cute! I came up with a gnome gift card holder that you fold back the hat and it is inside the head. You can also crochet a pocket on the back of an ornament to hold the gift card. I think I will crochet a snowman, Santa, and elf hugging the gift card
Interesting selections. Times have changed. My grandmother gave crocheted gifts every year. Handkerchiefs with crocheted (or tatted) edges. Potholders (made with the same fine thread and sewn around padding). Sometimes a lucky aunt (child of grandma) would get a large doily or table runner. My other grandma made rose adorned pillows. And afghans. I gave scarves and mittens and shawls. And afghans. Thanks for the ideas.
Oh wow! That brings back memories! My mom did a lot of tatted work around handkerchiefs as well. As well as her and I both have crocheted, doilies and appliqué pillows, baby sets, (sweater, bonnet, booties and blanket). Then hats, scarfs and afghans and mainly doilies were my things for a few decades. Now I have moved on with the times. 😄 So many options! I have learned that anything you see can be crocheted. 😃❤️
These are fantastic ideas. I can’t say which ones I like best. I think I want to make them all. Right now I’m crocheting a blanket for each member of my family. Presently I’m in the middle. I make a blanket for each member of the family of each of my children. When they are all done I present them as a family gift. That way it’s like Christmas for that family. Of course, this is taking a looonnngg time. But they all choose the colors they want and I pick the pattern. And they know what they are getting. I tried sweaters before but they didn’t always come out right. They were hit or miss sweaters and we all got a good laugh. Blankets are easier. After one or two blankets are finished I make a toy with matching baby blanket. These Christmas presents are a great suggestion to add. Thanks.
Darlene, this was the first time I have seen one of your videos. What I loved about it was that you had actually made the items that you were referring to, and letting people know the ins and outs of what to do and not do (ie if you use acrylic it stretches). I loved that this was not a video with other people's images, you showed the finished product. Cannot stress how much that helps, and gives reference and ideas to how colours and different yarns could be used. I am subscribing to your channel, loved the way you presented and gave idea for who to gift to and my favourite was the plant. I try not to overwater mine, but a crocheted one I have not made for myself. Have a wonderful lead up to Christmas and I hope your channel just grows and grows. D from Australia
Such neat ideas, I liked the headband, hat, and the bags are so nice. But they are all such nice gifts! Homemade gifts, are gifts from your heart, Love them!! Thanks for sharing, Blessings 💕
Love the mug cozy - I immediately thought about making one and adding appliquè to it, like a flower! Love all these ideas - great stash busting projects too! ❤❤
First time I have seen your channel.Your voice is calming I like the laid back feel. I really like your ideas and appreciate you showing an actually item. I like all of them but I think the first two I will make are the cup cozy and the water bottle holder. I was thinking maybe put a pocket on the bottle holder for a phone. Thank you for showing everything.
I will be making the coffee cozy with a mug rug. My daughter loves sunflowers so they're on the list and scrunchies for grandaughter. I could use a bucket hat and tote bag. These are just first thoughts. Oh I need a plant I can not kill. Lol Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for all the ideas. Love the bags. I recently made some kitchen towel holders with wooden rings. My daughter loved the set I gave her. So simple. You can crochet it up in 30 minutes, add another 10 minutes to sew on the wooden rings. Add some pretty kitchen towels and you have an inexpensive gift.
On the Bags both striped and granny square to stop the stretch you just need to line it with a non knit material. I love the colors in the granny square bag❤
Great ideas and well presented. I also like that you made samples of your suggestions. Maybe you can make another video with the same items, but different patterns to link to. Sometimes just finding patterns takes so long and it's so handy just to click on the links. Different mug cozies, different flower coasters and mini pillows, different ear warmer patterns, etc
These were all great! Loved the headband and I thought those sunflower coasters were fabulous. Oh, the plant was awesome as well. This was my first video of yours and I just subscribed.
I love the cup cozy idea. My craft room always gets so cold that my coffee or tea cools off too fast. Hopefully, the cozy will keep the cup warmer longer. Thank you.
Good luck! I know that you will be able to find the perfect gift for her. If not… crochet a gift card holder and give her a gift card to her favorite shop. 😁
Great ideas 💡. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to make the sunflower coasters for myself. I currently have a set of glass and a set of ceramic coasters. They are not good choices for my 16 month old granddaughter, who is here several times a week.
What a very useful list of ideas. And thanks so much for sharing the links. Much appreciated. Definitely going to share it with my Knit & Stitch Sisterhood. ❤️🇬🇧🇺🇦🇺🇦🇬🇧❤️
I love the sunflower coaster and mini pillows. I made a grannysquare bag with the sunflower design last year, and it too is stretched out from all the things I have hauled around in it.
I love all your gift ideas!!!! I liked them so well I decided to subscribe to your channel!!! I am an old lady who will be 80 years young in 7 monthes and have been trying to find simple , and quick little projects for a few of my friends for Christmas and these are all wonderful!! I hope to watch all your videos both past and present for a very long time!!! Take care and stay safe! Also thank you for such a wonderful channel!!! HUGS, Vicky from Michigan!!!! BYE!!
Love them all. You shown some that would be great stash busters. I'm here making Pumpkins Ex-small from MJ Design. Going to gift them to my grandsons class and make large for the teachers.
Hi new to your channel and subscribed! Love your gift ideas! The last one (the mitten/gift card holder) would also make a great ornament after it's gift giving purpose! Blessings Kiddo!🌿💚
Love that you made them all to show. Great ideas, good to know they are beginner friendly too. Just found your channel and watched the wreath coaster tutorial. Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful crochet gift ideas!! I especially love the crochet succulent plant, the nice crocheted headband and the very cute crocheted mitten to hold a gift card or cash!
Thank for sharing your gift ideas,I sure will be making a few of them. Right now I'm working on a baby doll cradle bag too donate too my churches in my area.
Oh this is a great idea "filled" video 😊. Love these. The granny bag is one that would take very little longer to whip together than the gift card mitten 🤓. Many nieces and great nieces would love them. ❤And one in particular (niece) would love the one that you made your granddaughter, because Kayleigh loves tote bag sized purses. [She's a nurse 🤩so maybe she carries possible solutions 🤷who knows 🤣]. Thanks for these ideas 👏👏
You have such a pleasant way of presenting your ideas. I do not crochet but I watched as we have a Crochet Club at our senior center. They laughingly call them selves “the happy hookers”. I will recommend your channel to them.

Thinking of that last gift idea, the mitten. What would the person do with it? I know! Crochet a loop on it and now it's an ornament for next Christmas
I like that you've actually crocheted your recommendations and not just reading off a list. I appreciate the effort.
You’re welcome 😊 Glad it was helpful! ❤️
Me too I appreciate that.
Me three! Seeing the actual gift idea crocheted up is very inspiring!
Yes it makes a big difference ❤ I’m not sure what I’m making yet. Probably the twisted headband ear warmers with cup cozies that always a hit !
Yes!!! That is so nice, I’m subscribed now ❤
Loved this collection. Thank you!
So glad! You are very welcome!
