This was made so long ago that I don’t remember the ratios that I used or the recipe I used. Sorry! I sprayed alcohol into the mold to give it a final clean in case any debris got into the mold before I poured the soap in.
Super cool! I love making swirls but the batch always thicken up on me. May I ask what type of oils and butter used in this recipe? Thank you for sharing #SoapingForCollegeFund
I have problems with thickening up also. It’s usually the fragrance oil and not the recipe that makes it thicken up too fast. I will do a video soon with soap recipes. It also takes lots of practice, so don’t give up. I hope this answer helps.
I usually master-batch my lye solution, but then add additional water and sodium lactate at soap making time for the recipes that call for it. I recently discovered that my lye solution is creating more heat when I make these additions! 😮 I suspect the temperature increase contributes to my soap thickening up faster… I’m experiencing more success after accounting for the temperature change! …just a thought, if you’ve ruled out everything else… 😊
Great! I have since created or enhanced a load of recipes by adding either sunflower oil, Rice bran ,canola or grape seed etc…Fragrance does play a big part therefore increasing my water:lye ratio to 2:1 solved my issue. Happy Soaping!🧽🧼
Nice to see it but what are you mixing.... Looks like pudding what was in the bowl and what was the clear stuff. Instructional videos need instructions CoMplete.

HI, very pretty soap. What are the amounts of each color and what did you spray in the mold? Thx!

How do you not weigh the FO so that you are using a safe amount?
I have weighed it. I already know how much is in the bottle. I don’t weigh my oils on camera either.
