The 2017 Toyota Camry is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, SE, and XLE with prices ranging from $26,790 - $30,140.
The Camry Hybrid mates a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor for a total of 200 horsepower. Fuel Economy is 40 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway. The Camry Hybrid lags behind the Prius which received an all new hybrid powertrain.
The hybrid sedan class is packed with competition including the: Ford Fusion Hybrid, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Kia Optima Hybrid, Chevy Malibu Hybrid, and the Honda Accord Hybrid.

You neglected to mention that the "vent" in the back seat is NOT an HVAC vent. It is a fan-driven cooling vent for the BATTERY that must be checked and cleaned periodically.
The car magazines call Toyota's "refined" in all of their articles. I think that pretty well says what a Toyota is all about.
Vent to your left in back seat is air intake for cooling hybrid battery. You should know that duh!!!

The mazda 6 has a nicer interior but the back seat is a bit more snug and there has been complaint of road\wind noise... camry is a quieter car for sure
I agree. I had a Mazda 6 and I can attest to the excessive road, engine, and wind noise. I had a 14 Mazda6 GT
All in all it's a boring car, and CVT makes it even worse. For a hybrid mid size sedan I'll pick the Malibu or Sonata instead.

Caitlin Henshaw yes it does, most hybrids will use cvts because there more fuel efficient. If you are to buy a cvt, Toyota’s aisin cvt has been in existence and put to use long before any of the other cvts (javco), and is known to be extremely reliable unlike other cvts (javco).
