The interior design of the Camry is breathtaking. I love the triangular display

I love my EV mode in my 2014 Camry hybrid. I use it often in traffic and when in 20-30 mph zones. EV mode also kicks in w when you are at other low speeds

Buttons allow choice. You don't have to use them but I want to, so maybe don't tell manufacturers to reduce choice.

Great review. After decades of enduring the Euro suspensions, I'm ready for soft and sedate. Boring can be good. The only issue is that the Camry Hybrid is about $3K over a Honda Accord Hybrid.

Still better because the fuel economy on the accord hybrids suffers over the years of ownership, whereas the camry will be more consistent

I really like the calm and peacefulness Toyotas focus on. I used to prefer sportiness and firm suspension in the past, not so much anymore. Finally Honda pricing is pretty aggressive, so I'd look for dealers who are willing to offer up discounts or even lease returns.

Toyota is way ahead of Honda when it comes to hybrids.

Love the review, however I must disagree with you on the sport mode button. While, yes you're not going to turn the car into a McLaren P1 with the press of a button, however, it does give that little extra 'bite' to the throttle. I normally use it when taking a tight gap on a morning with a lot of traffic or when simply going up steep inclines etc. While it doesn't provide a new car in a button, it is far from useless

hi...you don't know to get the electric motor to kick in on sport mode for more power and you said nothing about the h.u.d. display! P.S. i get over 58.1 mpg in my xle hybrid combined!

Great review. Toyota just launched 2019 Camry Hybrid a week ago here in Jakarta, Indonesia. Only one trim which is similar to XLE Hybrid but electronically adjusted reclining rear seats with integrated touch pad control at rear armrest. EV mode might work here since we have terrible traffic jams. Thinking to trade up my 10 year old European car with this but some Camry Hybrid owners from previous generation told the battery might go problem after 4 years of daily driving on average & it is very expensive to replace. I don't know if this is true or not..

on the entertainment center, you can put up to 4 windows on the screen instead of only two... also so you can change what is displayed on each screen!

Android auto on your phone is way smarter than the one on the car's headunit. Your phone recognize better voice input than the car's. Just get a phone holder that's it. The older version got better sport mode when mash the gas paddle without the sport button. A lot stronger this new version of the app Camry hybrid. To start off at dead stop, you're not suppose to floor it at first. Toyota tuned it not to do a burn out. So step a little to get it in motion then mash it. You'll feel a lot more power and torque, then a boost of electric motor, passing the powerband then the VTEC kick in all the way to the end. It's like a boost from turbo. This guy doesn't know how the car's hybrid system work to get most of the power. If you're in Eco mode and wanted power for passing or other thing it automatically switch to normal or sport when mash the gas paddle. Then it return to Eco when you let go gas and driving normal.

The infotainment, while nicely integrated, is always captured on these reviews with tons on dust. There is not perspective on how fingerprints accumulate, and to minimize the glossy finish is to do a disservice to your followers. The gloss and likely wash out when the sun is overhead are big negatives. Add these criteria to your reviews. And, their is no such word as "Irregardless".

I would have designed a better ev mode .... but the true comment is the sport mode does make the car move a lot more that this video suggests. I bought the hybrid xle. I wish the ev could be locked in and the battery tolerance was higher to cut down on gasoline startup. I should be able to golf cart in residential zones to 50 and not 40. The ev move should run longer before flipping into gas. Launching at lights should be more ev instead of instant gas as opposed to peddle depression activation. The comfort and features are fine. Having more computer space to store summer and winter tires with that rim sensor memory would be nice Toyota. Can’t wait for some Camry hacks to make the car more ev friendly. I was about to get a Hyundai Ioniq but I got a really good deal on this model.

Its so funny how some people can be snowflakes when it comes to politics. I stuck to the analogy of how many people were in a public march to how many Camrys are sold a year but some people here got hurt about it. Why.
