You say things don't always go as planned and to be honest I don't think you can plan an adventure that's going to last a life time like yours will, you are both making some amazing memories and experiences. Thank you for taking time out to allow us too see what you guys get up to and your adorable dogs. stay safe.
Alaska is truley breathtaking. I never knew anything about Alaska till I started watching your blogs. Thank-You for taking us with you today. And your two dogs are just so precious.
I lived in Alaska for 7 years, and these videos make me miss it so much. It was oddly nostalgic to seeing the Anchorage streets! Thanks for making these videos!
Loved this adventure - I never knew that a glacier could look so awesome. That blue was incredible and I wonder how old that ice is. I wouldn't have ever seen things like this without you two and I thank you for going back for another try for us. What a wonderful world we live in. Just amazing.
Really a pleasure watching you two live life. No hype or fluff or silly stuff to get views, that is really irritating. You are both very informative when explaining your next moves. May you both prosper in your dream land.
Greetings from Japan! Thank you for your efforts and work in filming, editing this videos, I know it takes a lot of time and skills. I discover your channel one week ago, and I can't stop watching every video you put.I noticed that this video when I watched had no ads on it, as a youtube creator I know how importuned ads are for revenue. I will watch later today or tomorrow and hoping that ads will be on the video. I made a small donation to you guys under the initials of NH. All I have to say is, you guys are brave, and all the people that live in Alaska, man is cold!!!, and days are short there in winter. Here I am in Karuizawa Japan bitching about -4C at night:)))) I hope people that watch your videos will let the ads run, that will help your channel grow and you be able to have the opportunities to build and do more videos. Take care of you guys, and your dogs, cats and chickens. I can wait for this year to show us how the garden and canning goes. Stay well and happy!
アメリカで見てますが、広告は付いていました。見てる地域で変わるのでしょうかね? I’m watching their videos in the USA and I did see ads on the video. Could it be due to the location? Not sure..
@@30-06 I watched later and the ads were there. Depends if youtube place the ads or they put manually the ads. In case of youtube placing the ads, will take longer for the ads to appear versus Eric placing them manually. A lot of work and time to film plus editing the footage. At least this much I can do to give back and support their work, by letting the ads run. Stay safe in the USA with this virus. Take care!
NATI CROCHET - What a nice comment. They do have a great channel & great videos. I’m sure they spend a great deal of time in shooting & editing, which they do beautifully. So glad they take us along on their adventures! Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇨🇱🇺🇸👍❤️😁🙏
Hi guys, this town reminds me of Valdez when I visited Alaska, a very beautiful town as well. It’s part of my treasured memories. Thank you for taking me a long on your adventures. Keeps safe🙏🤗
I love going thru the tunnel to Whittier. That was one of my favorite things when we were there. It amazing how the whole town of Whittier lives in that one building. The one building that was all empty use to have a bowling alley, movie theater....the whole 9 yards. That town has a lot of history. Go down to Homer and hang out, you will probably see the boats from Deadliest catch. Alaska is Such an amazing place........Thanks for the tour.
I’ve seen that tunnel on the Alaska Railroad series so that was so cool seeing you drive your truck through it instead of a train. Thanks, love your adventures!
This is stunning, I agree, I have visited it years ago in summer time and this is very impressive how high the mountains are and filled with snow at the top even in sunmer months. This peninsula near Anchorage is just priceless. Thanks for sharing, I want to go back now! 😄
Really enjoyed seeing Whittier again. In the mid 90’s we were in Alaska and went to Whittier and were unable to see anything, because the area was all fogged in. During the 1990’s we were in Alaska at least five times as our daughter & son in law lived in Alaska. Would love to go back. Keep doing what you are doing!
Sorry about the crash! Safety first. It sure is beautiful out there! Whittier is now on my list to visit next fall. My grandson would love the tunnel and boats.
WOW guys, that was fantastic! Thank you for taking us along. It was all so beautiful. I loved the Marina from the drone view, it was pure art! What a great adventure!
I really enjoyed this video, I just love cool crisp air, the crunch under your feet, surrounded by white snow covered mountains on bright sunny days, under beautiful blue skies, makes me kind of home sick of the place. Alaska is so special, it has so many "faces". In all the years I lived in Alaska, I've never been "to" Whittier, been all over around there on my way through to the Peninsula. I know that the traffic is much heavier, as it is on the Seward, in the summer time (ahh the crowds!); "tourist central", Alaska is more beautiful when there are no tourists in the midst of winter, haha, but it's nice in the summer too! Always a treat to watch your adventures! Thank you for sharing your beautiful videos, and espescially in lieu of the challenges and expenses you face along the way, I hope it all comes back to you a hundred fold!
Even though your drone crashed, you were still able to get some awesome views for us. The blue color is beautiful. Thank you so much for giving it your bestest try.
I think I’ve watched all your videos and truly jus love them, but OH MY GOODNESS, this place jus took my breath away!!!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thank u both for sharing!!! Now listen to your fur babies cuz they may be warning u of how close get. Seriously exquisite scenery!!!!
I adore Bandit and Bo reaction to all the trips. I bet they are good supervisors too. Something tells me there may be a boat in the future for you two.
Great video, Alaska is so beautiful. I noticed the comment "scary and beautiful at the same time. That is so true in nature, i always felt that way about the heavens in particular . Our solar system, our galaxy, and all the mysteries it contains. Fascinating and absolutely terrifying at the same time. Like the writer Arthur C. Clarke said, “Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying”. Love your channel !
I’ve been through that tunnel 3 times but never in winter. In summer and early fall the long lines of cars take forever but always worth it. Enjoyed your video very much. Thank you.
Beautiful. Scenery up there is breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks. I did the inside passage cruise in Alaska a few years ago and did every day trip the ship stopped at. Ketchikan, Juneau, and a few others I've forgotten. We went and saw one of the massive glaciers, and it calves a few times as we watched. The beauty of that colour blue is hard to describe...it just resonates with your soul. Sighhh...such wonderful sights and memories.
I spent a week in Alaska (health conference), the sky was lit 24 hours, took the train to Whittier and boat tour of the glaciers, a section of the glacier dropped as our boat was near, amazing power and deep blue colors, 3 gray whales (think they were grey whales) popped up beside our boat, a humongous sea lion was relaxing on a small rock outlet, I ended my tour at the Alyeska mountain resort. Beautiful country. Thank you for your videos!
So glad you used such smart plans! I was born in Alaska, many years passed, yet this state is able to show great beauty , no matter the season, but it requires remembering to use good judgement ! Glad you are able to share this beauty with many! Thank you.
He used the term correctly. Birth and slip are the same thing. Hardly anyone up here calls them a birth though. Everyone pretty much refers them to a “slip” Boat ramp is just called a boat ramp.
The dogs were happy to get their dog boots off but without them I'm sure their feet would get frostbitten. Beautiful winter views--the only problem was I had to put on my winter coat to watch this video! Love ya all!
Portage Glacier is magnificent in the summer too. We visited there via the Alaska Railroad, caught a bus to the lake, and were rowed in rubber rafts right up to one of the (safe) faces of the glacier. We walked around on the glacier floor and photographed the rocks that had been recently scraped by millions of tons of ice. The lake was strewn with hundreds of ice chunks. It was gorgeous.
My heart 😩 I lived briefly in Portage and the Girdwood/Portage area made me fall in love with Alaska. I'm back in Florida now but I hope to move up there in a few years!
Of that, I have no doubt. It's beauty is magical. However, this nature lover may roam but Florida will always be home. I'm happier in water than on land. Alaska has so many stunning bodies of water but most of it's not fit for swimming.
Just stunning! I hope you get a chance to go back in the summer. I love how Alaska changes so drastically between winter and summer. Gorgeous both times of year too.
Wow! I enjoyed very much all these blue- white winter colours. Thank you so much for all ur efforts sharing ur adventures with us.😚Greetings from warm Bali/ Indonesia 😘
The first time I came to Alaska we hit the ground running. After getting off the plane in Anchorage we drove to Whittier. We headed out offshore from Whittier and went to a place called Seal Rock where we fished overnight for halibut. That was in September of 2018. I was so afraid of the Seas being rough out there that day and it turned out to be an absolute gorgeous day and night. We also caught a mess of halibut to make for a perfect trip. That's when I knew that I wanted to move to Alaska.
HI Guys I found your channel a month or so ago and have loved seeing Alaska again. My kids and I lived in Anchorage for about 8 years in the late 80's into the early 90's. The one time that we went out to Portage Glacier we parked in the parking lot and you could still see the Glacier from there. Isn't the color just amazing!!! The camera just doesn't capture the full depth of the blue, I absolutely loved your drone shots, I never saw it like that before!!! Thank you so much for taking us along and sharing!!!
I most certainly experienced Alaska envy watching this video. I was 8 years old when Alaska became a state and have never traveled there except through videos like you are sharing. Thank-you.
I remember as a little girl my dad and I walked the tunnel. I don't remember why we did but I do remember my dad really checking out the train schedule! this was back in the early 70's
FYI, the small boats on the boats are called dingy's. When they anchor vice tie up at docks in their slips, they can get around by using the dingy's. It is a good way of paying less and still be able to get to the local town for food, entertainment, etc. Good video today, as always!!!!
Sorry about the drone problems. I was worried the dogs were going to take off where they shouldn't go! What beautiful footage you captured. Something we never would see. Love your adventures, and that you bring us along with you. Interesting to see the old building and how much snow was on it. Must be very windy there.
Love Portage Glacier, the Tunnel, Whittier, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. When my wife first arrived in Alaska in 1981, the glacier was actually right up to where you had parked the truck. 😟 The Portage Valley is probably one of my favorite areas.
This was spectacular to watch. The boat and glacier aerials in snow. Awesome pictures. Please promise to take us with you when things melt and aren’t so treacherous. Great adventure!
Whittier is my favorite port town. I love the little museum across from the Anchor Inn! The fish and chips are the best in Whittier at the Anchor Inn. Thank you for the beautiful video!
Hi lovely people...found your channel by searching for canning food a few weeks ago and love your way of life....I am an old lady from Holland and healthwise not able to travel anymore....learn so much from you...thank you and God bless from Anja from Holland
Our 2015 cruise ended in Whittier, sure looks beautiful with all that snow. We went thru that tunnel in a huge bus. That portage glacier is awesome, I really enjoyed all the glaciers in College Fjord and Glacier Bay.😀
Whoa! Sorry, for a second post but I didn't know you could drive to Whittier now...way cool. As I recall you could only get to Whittier by train the 80's. Thank you again!!!
Mega cool pictures !!!!! I am addicted to your adventures and life. If you ask me...... you should film every minute of your days. I am on vacation right now. Not able to go to Germany as I had planned and you guys are totally helping me “go somewhere” without leaving 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😁😁
Wow, gorgeous shots! Woke up tp this and beautiful way to start my day. We were in Alaska in July of 2018 and loved it. If any of you get the chance, GO! It is nothing like the "lower 48". Stunning. Thanks you two and congrats on the ads!
Thanks for the memories it was summer of 1973. Our family trip to Anchorage included Whittier, Matanuska Valley, etc. our last family vacation before I left for the Navy. Beautiful area and the size of the vegetables in Matanuska was amazing. Thanks for sharing the journey.
Beautiful video! Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. It was really beautiful & enjoyable. Y’all do such a great job filming & editing. Thanks for your hard work. My parents spent 2 summers in Alaska in a cab over camper. My mom said she thought she had died & gone to heaven. They had a blast. The 1st trip, my mom canned about 115 pints of salmon. The 2nd year, she canned about 250 pints. It was sooooo good. Every time I see you open one of your cans of salmon, I can’t help but think of my mother. Keep the great videos coming! Blessings on y’all & your homestead. Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇨🇱🇺🇸👍❤️😁🙏

Thank you for this adventure, amazing drone footage of snow covered boats in a snow covered harbor, thank you :)
Sorry about the crash! Safety first. It sure is beautiful out there! Whittier is now on my list to visit next fall. My grandson would love the tunnel and boats.
What a great sense of Alaska during the winter - thanks for taking us along!
Such gorgeous scenery. When I die I want to come back as one of your dogs. They have such a great life .
it choked me up hearing you say i dont think i ever saw anything more beautiful it was a great connection abd i related to that sentiment
You two are so great for letting us join you on your adventures. Y'all are wonderful the house, the gardens, the adventures.
God Bless both of you. 😊

I’m glad to see that huge old vacant building still standing. I explored it years ago and it was so neat inside
Omg, I would have freaked out driving through that tunnel! Worth it tho! Beautiful scenery!

My heart 😩 I lived briefly in Portage and the Girdwood/Portage area made me fall in love with Alaska. I'm back in Florida now but I hope to move up there in a few years!
This native Floridian would love to see Alaska someday.
HIGHLY recommend but be careful; my mentor when I lived there once told me "Alaska will steal your heart, but give you your soul." And its so true.
Of that, I have no doubt. It's beauty is magical. However, this nature lover may roam but Florida will always be home. I'm happier in water than on land. Alaska has so many stunning bodies of water but most of it's not fit for swimming.

The big concrete building is the Buckner Building. It had everything imaginable for our troops inside, during the early years of the Cold War.
Gorgeous. The colors!!! Wow. Loved it. Thank you for sharing.
Love seeing your dogs RUN!!!

Our cruise ship landed in Whittier , and we traveled to Anchorage to catch our flight . LOVE ALASKA !!!
Thank you so much for trying to show us that glacier.
If you ever watched the television series Railroad Alaska. That’s the tunnel where the train starts. That was cool to see it in your video!
I remember as a little girl my dad and I walked the tunnel. I don't remember why we did but I do remember my dad really checking out the train schedule! this was back in the early 70's
Thanks for sharing your beautiful day!
Love, love going on adventures with you.
I will have to say that Alaska is very beautiful. The mountains and scenery is breathtaking. Maybe some day I will get to visit.
Love the side trip to see the boats. and the scenery. thanks
Thank you for showing us this beautiful places 💜

Thanks for taking us along on your trip around Alaska.
We have camped and fished here many times, and loved it.
Huge wide open space - Bandit sees his own personal racetrack! Such an awesome dog! 😍
Whittier is GORGEOUS in the summer! Loved seeing Portage glacier ❤️
Incredible!! Thanks so much for sharing this. You guys are great!!
Amazing video! Nice music! Glad you stayed safe. Peace and Good Fortune to you both.
You guys are the best, you do so many cool things that your going to be able to look back on..
The Anchor Inn and museum (and general store) should be open year round. It’s up higher by the building where everyone lives.
Hi lovely people...found your channel by searching for canning food a few weeks ago and love your way of life....I am an old lady from Holland and healthwise not able to travel anymore....learn so much from you...thank you and God bless from Anja from Holland
That glacier is just beautiful!!!
Our 2015 cruise ended in Whittier, sure looks beautiful with all that snow. We went thru that tunnel in a huge bus. That portage glacier is awesome, I really enjoyed all the glaciers in College Fjord and Glacier Bay.😀
Beautiful driver! Thank you as always!

Thank you for trying to show us the glacier. 💙
Excellent filming- thank you!!!
Whoa! Sorry, for a second post but I didn't know you could drive to Whittier now...way cool. As I recall you could only get to Whittier by train the 80's. Thank you again!!!

Thanks,beautiful. So enjoyed.
Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us, it was absolutely amazing 😀
Watching you two waiting for the tunnel reminded me of waiting for the ferry on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Glad you had a good time.
You guys are enjoying the Alaskan lifestyle to it’s fullest thats for sure and we love to see it!
Oh my! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Alaska with us! It IS stunning! ✨
Thanks for the memories it was summer of 1973. Our family trip to Anchorage included Whittier, Matanuska Valley, etc. our last family vacation before I left for the Navy. Beautiful area and the size of the vegetables in Matanuska was amazing. Thanks for sharing the journey.
Sorry about your drone but thanx so much for sharing your good adventure with us ! Enjoyed your day, too!!!
What great scenery. Thanks for sharing 👍
