While in Falkirk seeing the kelpies did u go see the Worlds 1st and only boatlift the Falkirk wheel? ( Google, if u missed it, it uses less power than 9 kettles) 😂 also IRN-BRU originally from Falkirk too
As an English ex-delivery driver, whenever my boss said " You're off to Scotland for a couple of days " I was always well pleased, stayed in various hotels, and B+Bs loved it. Stunning scenery and friendly people, even in Glasgow lol.
LOL!! I am Scottish and I don't often get to Glasgow as I'm on the east coast but I'm always struck by how friendly Glasgow actually is it's much friendlier than Edinburgh for example
@lespaddick6248 Lol! Especially being a Londoner, we're not very well liked, lol, but the Glaswegians were great, tough, down to earth people, I felt comfortable and right at home. I miss those days ☹️
I live in North of England but get to go to Edinburgh very regularly for work. I am very lucky to have such an amazing country so close. A fantastic place with cracking people 🏴🤜🏼🤛🏼🏴
Thank you for such a lovely review. Im a proud Glaswegian and love watching visitors touring our country and taking in all that we offer in this country. Haste ye back !!
I live in Suffolk, South eastern England. I did a trip to Scotland with a mate right around the top. Its my favourite place I've ever been, I'm not well travelled so do not have many places to compare too. However the scenery, the nature. It just felt so good everywhere i went.
@@stuartbutcher2642 Yeah I live just outside of the town, Sadly the town is a little dead and deprived now, still lots of history and a few nice places if you know where to look.
Glad you's enjoyed it up here in our country. Glasgow born and bred and love your enthusiasm. As you will know, there's a lot of history connecting our dear country to the United States, and that was nice of your friends to show you around.
Hand on heart. I love these videos. Ashamedly, You’ve seen more of the UK than I have. Definitely inspiring me to jump in the car and cross the border up to Bonny Scotland!
Heck yeah!!! I'm glad we can push you to head up to such a lovely countryside. Just enjoy each moment when you do it. You are lucky to live so close, and the UK, in general, is pretty freaking amazing. That goes for the land and for the people.
You two bring such joy to all of your excursions. And of course it follows that you'd attract two of the most fun people in the UK! And Everly just gets more adorable (and fun like her folks!) every time I see her. I'm not wishing time away, but I can't wait to watch her grow up!

Scotland is great. It's just such a shame that the climate sucks. There's such a small window of the year where you can comfortably utilise the outdoors, unless you are fine with constant drizzle and wind. If we had a more continental European climate on our Isles, it'd be perfect.

The Kelpies are down the road from me, not sure if you would have seen the other things here in Falkirk and not shown it in the vid. The worlds only rotating boat lift is a little farther along the canal from the Kelpies the other side of town called The Falkirk Wheel and the route along between them is the Antonine wall, it was the northern border of the Roman empire for 20 years, they never finished building it. William Wallace best friend was laid to rest at the churchyard in the middle of town, he fell in the battle of Falkirk 1298, Wallace monument is a little farther north in Stirling.

Hi Guys, nice to see your video, we met you in the pub by Loch Ness, ( we were the couple talking to Chris & Marianna in the pub), glad you had a great trip.
FnA, I found myself smiling and chuckling out loud as I watched you experiencing Scotland with such pure, unfiltered joy. When we were stationed in Berlin, we traveled every chance we had! We visited 13 European countries an our daughters were old enough to remember them all. P.S. My oldest great granddaughter is named Everly.
Wow that is so awesome! What an amazing opportunity you had to show your daughters the world 🌎❤️ and now we both have an Everly we love deerly 🥰 thanks so much for enjoying the video!
You came up as a suggestion and I watched and subscribed. Your wee one is such a sweetheart ❤❤❤ super cute! Glad you enjoyed it here… I’m convinced it wasn’t recent because it’s Baltic just now and I feel like the loch would be -700 degrees C.
Im from Scotland. Glad you had a good time!! I have to say not all haggis is like that, i think you got a particularly stodgy looking one. You get them more like of a cous cous consistency, these are better ones. If you come back try again, you might be surprised, Cockburns haggis is a favourite one if you see it anywhere but its rare to see it.
Its so lovely to watch visitors enjoy scotland as much as we do, I met a lovely Italian couple in loch lomand . Myself and my friend gave them a shot of our paddleboards, it was wonderful seeing them laugh and have a waterfight with the paddles 😂❤

Great video, I love your enthusiam for Scotland 😀. We live just North of Inverness and often bump into visitors from America when out and about and love to hear their story and chat with them about what brought them to Scotland when there are so many other (warmer and drier 😆) places they could visit, sometimes this works out and sometimes they think we are some sort of grifters that are trying to sell them someting or con them which is funny 😂, glad you enjoyed the Haggis .
Being from Scotland I always found driving along the A9 to Inverness to be a slog with fairly average scenery, even Loch Ness pales in comparison to some of the other Scottish Lochs. What amazing weather you guys had!! Marianne hit the nail on the head - Scotland is *RIDICULOUSLY* beautiful! Yep, that counted as a swim in Loch Ness. Subpar Parks is one of my favorite Instagram accounts! 🤣 I'm with Frankie, haggis is delicious! 😋 Then again, I liked the salad cream so maybe take that into account. 🤣🤣
Haggis should never stick to the roof of your mouth. That is the inappropriate sauce that has done that to it. A well seasoned haggis with neeps and tatties doesn't really need a sauce, but if you absolutely must add something to it, then rowan or redcurrant jelly is the way to go.
Ahh, Haggis varys so much from place to place. Spicy Haggis is the best. Balmoral Chicken is next up, but i love a Strathmore blackpuding with tart blackberry sauce.
Love Glen Coe the scenery is stunning. On a bus tour of my own country the driver pointed out a possible place where the McDonald's clan house once stood. They found ancient coins on the site so they believe this is where they lived.
Thanks for the great video, but you’ll have to come back because you only scratched the surface! Your biggest omission is the Isle of Skye. It’s so beautiful it’s other-worldly! I’m from the east coast of Scotland and we go there every year in our caravan. It’s absolutely stunningly beautiful.
That’s so cool .. that counts as u swam with the lock ness. I know that water had to be so cold with yall wearing jackets and all bundled up… brrrrr. Thanks for sharing ur adventures.
While in Scotland, i would recommend that you try: Scotch Eggs which is a hard boiled egg with the shell removed, then encased in sausage meat and covered in ruskoline. Tunnocks Caramel Wafer which is like a biscuit snack covered in chocolate. Barr's Irn-Bru or Barr's Sugar Free Irn-Bru. You will see them either in a can or a bottle silver for the SF version and orange for the other (colour of can or bottle) in besides the Coca-cola.
Shame I didn't know you were coming to Scotland. Would have met up with you seeing you went to the Kelpies - that's near where I live. Glad you had a good time. When you read this I am currently in England visiting family. Take care xxx
We got married in the great hall at Bamburgh castle, followed by _incredible_ sausage rolls from that bakery with Bollinger on the battlements and then reception in the cricket pavilion with a fish n chip van.
You should of come to Newcastle upon tyne on your way to Scotland and had a look at the architecture on grey street, it's absolutely beautiful! Take care guys and safe journeys ❤
I live up in Inverness! I used to live in Fort William but it's a stinkhole lmao a bit sad that the haggis was so drenched by the sauce since the sauce is where a lot of your complaints came from it seemed lol If you ever explore more I highly suggest the West Highland coastline along Route 500. It's beautiful but I'd recommend late spring to late summer (late spring for the new growth, late summer for the heather)
I've always wanted to see the kelpie sculpture. They are shapeshifting demons which appear as a lonely horse and whenever anyone gets too close them. they bite or grab the victim and try to drown them in the nearby river. Sometimes they appear as a handsome man or beautiful woman if the horse ruse doesn't work. I love a bit of folklore :D
So nice to see you taking full advantage of this adventure and having an amazing time! It looks ridiculous! 😂❤ Not a haggis fan. Had it at a Scottish festival a few years back. And, yes, that does count and swimming in the Loch. ✔️
It's a shame you didn't get to Loch Ness via Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor and Glencoe - that journey, for scenery, is one of the best without going too far north.
The lady was correct,. Neeps are mashed turnips, that is orange turnips that the English call swedes. What the English call turnips is what we in Scotland call white turnips.
Ive bookmarked to wztch when home... if you are on your travels I highly suggesy the Scottish Outer Hebridean Islands. Cheap ferry across, then a cossway road bridge you cannisland hop across all the islands. The famous Callanish Stones are here, older than the pyramids and even stonehenge. Errected by the natives who also errected Stonehedge whichnis now mistaken as English as they colinise the south of the island.
Sadly you missed the best areas for scenery. Next time (there will be a next time), head up to the far north west to Ullapool and the coastal drive north of there. Stunningly beautiful with great beaches, sea stacks and cliffs and more interesting mountains. There's a 500 mile circular route called the North Coast 500 which covers the best areas. There's plenty of YT videos to give you a flavour of what you can see. Also, Skye is very much worth visiting despite getting very busy in summer and again plenty of YT videos showing the spectacular secenery. Finally, if you want to see how good some of the beaches can be, it's worth checking out Luskentyre Beach images which is on the island of Harris.
I have been Scotland when I was young lad with my grandparents cos my grandfather is from Scotland and I'm was born and raise England and he took me to Scotland as he want me to learn his roots and I even made a mistake when I was young I ask my grandfather why that man with bagpipe wear a girl shirt and he correct me no that is kilts and he taught me so much about Scotland which I hold forever in my and my grandfather bless his soul know that I learn everything as possible and he even told me that I did eat haggis which I could not remember

It's a shame you didn't get to Loch Ness via Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor and Glencoe - that journey, for scenery, is one of the best without going too far north.
Of course that was swimming in Loch Ness! It’s WAY more than I’d be prepared to try 😂
Haha then we nailed it!!!!!
You were only in Loch Ness for seconds. If you'd spent a longer time in the water you'd have certainty been taken by The Monster.
hahaha. we can say that is why we got out so fast lol
looks like ye all had blast here, nice watching folk enjoy my country :)
p.s. i think yer bairn wiz asking for a cuppa tea.
Listen at 16:45 when he say “look Nessies right here” it sounds so Scottish wtf🤣🤣 love from the north east of Scotland🏴
I would say you went for a dook in Loch Ness :)
Hahaha, a dook is more like it not so much a swim, 😆.
Welcome to Scotland! 🏴💙
you two are so brave going in the water😄
Neeps in Scotland are what the English call Swede. Don't confuse them, as Turnips, which is what the woman called them, are not the same.
The lady was correct,. Neeps are mashed turnips, that is orange turnips that the English call swedes. What the English call turnips is what we in Scotland call white turnips.
Please come down to Devon and Cornwall. Thank me later. Love the channel guys. Keep it up
Ive bookmarked to wztch when home... if you are on your travels I highly suggesy the Scottish Outer Hebridean Islands. Cheap ferry across, then a cossway road bridge you cannisland hop across all the islands. The famous Callanish Stones are here, older than the pyramids and even stonehenge. Errected by the natives who also errected Stonehedge whichnis now mistaken as English as they colinise the south of the island.
isle of Skye a gem.
❤❤❤
An interesting fact about Loch Ness is that it contains a ridiculous proportion of the UK's fresh water - something like a half or more.
Very cool!!! 😎 so esentially we've dipped ourselves into your drinking water haha 😄
There is more fresh water in loch ness than ALL the rivers and lakes in England and Wales put together !!!
And it's deeper than the north sea in some parts
@@JohnMalton That's a fact.
@@FnAVanLife over 30 thousand fresh water lochs and 1 lake in scotland.
So fun !!!
Thank you!
Did you know the Scottish mountains are part of the same range as the Appalachians?
I have been Scotland when I was young lad with my grandparents cos my grandfather is from Scotland and I'm was born and raise England and he took me to Scotland as he want me to learn his roots and I even made a mistake when I was young I ask my grandfather why that man with bagpipe wear a girl shirt and he correct me no that is kilts and he taught me so much about Scotland which I hold forever in my and my grandfather bless his soul know that I learn everything as possible and he even told me that I did eat haggis which I could not remember
