    Carlo's was the bakery where Cake Boss was filmed... Carlo was the owner (family business started by his father) EDIT: Not surprised the coffee wasn't good... so many have said his bakery was more hype than taste.

    • @Caderic
      @Caderic 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      The business wasn't started by his father, it was started by Carlo Guastaferro in 1910. It was purchased by Bartolo "Buddy" Valastro Sr., in 1964, and is now owned and operated by Bartolo "Buddy" Valastro Jr., (a.k.a. Cake Boss).
      And yeah, I have had cake from the MOA location, and it was very "meh", and over prices.

    I had the pleasure of visiting the Mall of America the first week it all opened. I went back to the Mall of America a number of times to go to Camp Snoopy. I really enjoyed the theming and rides with the famous Charlie Brown piano music playing throughout the park. Nickelodeon has squeezed more attractions into the tight space, but I liked it better as Camp Snoopy. I had heard the Log Flume had closed for good, but I'm delighted to see it's still operating. Thanks for visiting this amazing icon Adam. You Rock.

  • @iamjjking

    Pastamania is when Hulk was in WCW not WWF/WWE in 1995 . Hulk & Eric Bischoff (pres of WCW ) made a deal with MOA for him to have restaurant in dealing with having the First Monday Nitro event in September of 1995 . Monday Nitro was the head to head tv show to go against Vince McMahon's Monday Night Raw called the Monday Night Wars (WCW vs WWF/WWE) . Which lead to the attitude era (stone cold, the rock, DX, etc) and later on Vince McMahon bought WCW for $5M ( $100M+ dollar company for $5M) what a deal!

    I worked at a MOA in my retail management days. You should see the underbelly of the mall. People flying by in golf carts and you think they are going to crash into a wall but then the wall flys up in the sky to let the cart through. Huge dumpsters on liquor bottles separated by color. It's like a little city

    I saw a show with a Hulk Hogan interview, and he said that he had been approached by a company wanting to name their new grill after him. He said he declined because he was probably going to sign with a different company so they could use his name for their meatball making machine. The meatball machine flopped, and the grill company ended up signing their second choice, George Foreman, who made a fortune with it. 😂

    I remember this place being built back in 1990 and hearing about it being opened and always wanted to visit there. It was built to be so large to provide a refuge from the brutal Minnesota winters. People in Minnesota are said to be very friendly, which makes coping with the winters better. I'm not an expert in many things my friend, but, there is very little I've not learned about Knott's Berry Farm, my absolute favorite non Disney park. The Log Ride at Knott's was built by the now defunct company "Arrow Development" the chute ride you're enjoying today. formerly known as Paul Bunyan's Log Chute, was in fact built by Hopkins Rides. Fun fact for a man obsessed with Hollywood tie ins, John Wayne and his young son Ethan were first to ride Knott's famous log ride on July 11, 1969. The Duke spent a lot of time in Bud Hurlbut's machine shop at Knott's, he designed the original version and also designed and built Calico Mine Train.

      That's because the developer of Rainforest is from here. He just sold his 50s themed drive in diner that he hasn't had open since COVID. Galaxy drive in it's in the burbs too

    1993, back in the Peanuts days, I rode the Pepsi Sawmill. The first roller coaster I ever rode.

    Really wanted to see this one, I got a good feel for what it would be like to be there from this vid. Has ATW ever been to the Adventuredome inside Circus Circus Las Vegas?

    Dorney Park in Allentown PA has Camp Snoopy and is known to home of Snoopy and the New Iron Menace Roller Coaster only one in American with the Steeps hill drop as of 2024. The massive Mall in NJ Amercian Dream has the most insane Coaster you'll ever ride which is themed the TMNT if you like Coasters check it out 😂😂🤢🤮. Only certain DQ stores has Orange Juluis shops in them, dam right Orange Julius being a staple of American malls I still remember the one in local mall here as it's long gone now.

    About 20 years ago we had a family reunion in Minnesota and we stayed right across the street at the Marriott. What a fun time! We went to the mall when Camp Snoopy was still there!

    Hey Adam. Great video. That rainforest cafe was the first rainforest cafe. The creator is from Minnesota. Also the reason a lot of thing in the amusement park look like thinks from Knotts is because it was originally knotts camp snoopy.

    Carlos Bakery is a biggie here in Jersey. Home base is Hoboken. He’s known as Cake Boss if you’ve ever seen Food Network. Buddy & his crew are the artists of cakes. Great bakery items, and a genuine down-to-earth family..
    as far as your coffee….i can’t defend that but keep in mind, could be the water in different parts of the country. It’s my understanding that NY/NJ has the best water, especially for pizza making. Come this way & check it out….not the Philly part if Jersey. More north…across the water from NYC area.
    Have a continued fun trip!
