Truck is awesome!! Keep up the good work and love the setup inside. Who cares what other people think dont let internet trolls get to you. You have done a great job on the truck and it looks like its ready for some off road fun. Glad to see some square bodies out there in the overland world. It gets old seeing another 60k dollar jeep or 4runnner.
I love it Brother could you point me into the right direction too get one of these ? I see online auctions but I'm Leary of buying something I can't physically look at and inspect...
Daniel G sure thing. I can briefly discuss what’s needed to make them work on your truck. There are drawbacks to running these wheels and tires but the trade off is worth it.
I sure appreciate the comments guys! I just finished up the air locker up front. I’ll do another walk around video soon. I have a Bedslide 1000 going in which will give me full access to the bed and allow easier access to the fridge. More to come...
How much time are you spending tightening belts? I switched mine to 12 volts with only one alternator, and it’s still a lot of work to keep that one tight.
Joseph Grant I just bought an M1031 from auction and it should be here tomorrow. Im real interested in your setup . They added the banks sidewinder. Can't wait!!
@@glockfan im wanting to install a 4l80e but dont know what year transmission to get or if it even makes a difference..looking for advice. Does your speedometer work with the Quickshift Trans controller? Did you need to add a TPS? Any help would be appreciated.
Did you go with ARB Air Lockers? I don't know what they have for the CUCV,I've had a dozen up to now.I had ARP Air Lockers on a M35A2 and M185A3 2 1/2 Ton Truck.
@@glockfan All of the CUCV's,except the M1009,have the Lockers in the Rear Axles.I had to get a set for myself for all several M1009's I have owned.I never have used the ARB Lockers on these Trucks, how is the cornering with the Lockers up front?
@@Slim_Slid cornering is not a problem. Unlocked it is an open differential. Locked it is essentially a spool. I leave it unlocked until I need it. Once it is locked, power is transferred equally to both tires without regard to which one may have the most traction.
Great job! Looks good. I plan on running Humvee wheels on my K20 suburban I just need to find a good set of rear spacers. What brand of spacers are you running?
BUG OUT2 I’m running a set of Stahl Steel spacers. If you are going to go the same route that I did by using dually hubs up front, go with 3” spacers on the rear. Really, 2.5” spacers would be spot on. Be prepared for sticker shock. He is expensive. But, I can say that once I got over the price ($300+) for the pair of spacers, I have three years (so far) of absolutely ZERO issues. Do NOT install spacers on the front of your truck. Go with dually hubs and do it right the first time. I learned the hard way. Save your money and don’t be tempted by the eBay Chinese cheap spacers. If you decide not to follow this advice, make sure you last will and testament is updated. I was lucky...
They come with a Trac Lok Dana 60. Not terrible but certainly not as good as the ARB air locker. I have the Detroit locker in the rear and would love to switch it over to an air locker as well. It would probably be easier on my tires.
No spacers are used on the front. On the rear, I’m using Stahl 2” hub/lug centric machined steel spacers. I could have used even 3” on the rear but the 2” ones suffice.

Really love this truck. Looking to setup my cucv kind of like yours! Except ditching the 6.2l going to an lq9.
love the truck man! keep us updated
Good looking truck
Can you do a Video outlining the Hummer Wheel Install? Digging the build! DG in NorCal

@@glockfan Thanks buddy, I would appreciate when time permits!
I’d like to see the wheel conversation too. I’m working on my 1009 Blazer

I wish you could see the face I made when I saw that shifter! Nice work.
Even this video is “old” now... I will do a new one before it starts snowing. 😀

What shocks are you running up front have the same set up
Nice truck bud
Man looks fantastic!! Hows the mpg with that 4l80e? Whats your gearing?
About 18-20 mpg as it sits. I have 4.56 gears.
