I wanted to take a selfie with a goose recently. I stood up in front of the flock and walked backwards slowly, trying to get as close as possible to them. Suddenly the geese started to get closer to me, all at once, and more coming in the background. I couldn't believe my luck. I was in trance. I felt I was going to hug them and they would kiss me. The perfect selfie. Hundreds of likes. They were just a foot away from me when suddenly they stretched their necks and bit the hell out of me. Even though I was wearing jeans and long sleeves, they pinched my legs and arms with their sharp beaks till my skin almost bled. The attack was so sudden that when I could finally run, I was already bitten, hurt and bruised. Probably 7 or 8 birds bit me altogether. Never ever heard myself screaming for my life like this. I'm happy I didn't get PTSD. These birds are no joke. Stay far away from them.
The mistake you made was you didn’t grab them by the neck. I managed to grab an attacking swan by the neck and damn near yeet it, it must’ve had its’ pipes damaged by that action, because it franctically backed off. It attacked me without any provocation, by the way, I was just an oblivious kid passing by it and minding my own business.
