I'm still in therapy after seeing a video of a pelican swallowing another bird whole. It's right up there with the footage of a giant petrel dragging a baby penguin to it's death. We need to remember that we are looking at the last dinosaurs - forget crocodiles and Komodo Dragons, these warriors do battle much closer to home. (fwiw, I've always hated gulls but the petrel goes way beyond dive-bombing tourists)

Friendly reminder not to feed ducks, geese, and swans bread. Bread doesn’t have the proper nutrients they need, it instead tricks them into being full. Some nice snack options are peas, oats, cracked corn, lettuce and cabbage. Feeding them bread once isn’t likely to cause an issue, the bigger issue is that they don’t forage when they think they are full. For them, eating bread is like skipping a meal.
