If you have the misfortune to own one of the crappy, overpriced GE Monogram refrigerators then you probably have suffered more than your share of failures in a very few years. It is the repair technicians' children's college and retirement fund! I have had to replace pretty much every moving and electrical part in mine except the compressor (so far) in the last 20 years and now I'm replacing one of the same parts I had to replace just 7 years ago!. The cost to have a repair technician is prohibitive - they take one look at your house and the refrigerator and then double their normal charges.
